The New Year Song (Trumpet version)

I wrote the New Years Song at the start of 2023. It was supposed to have lyrics, but I didn't like the way they were going so decided to make a quick instrumental version. OK, now a year later I have swapped out the synth lead part with a trumpet. I did a couple of other small tweaks, but having the melody being a true trumpet is the big one. OK, a few small mistakes with the trumpet part, but that is part of it, isn't it?
I decided to just keep the same video, even if Scotland was the "Old Year" at the start of 2023, so now it is an even older year! Yes, Scotland trip from 2022 is highlighted.

Lovely music, horn playing and especially the photos. A branch of my past is Scottish and Welsh so I am partial, but regard myself as quintessentially American (as I am a Son of the American Revolution). Thanks for putting this out Trent.

Thanks! Both sides of my family have been here since colonial days, but I do feel an affinity to Scotland - the McDonald genes must still be strong even after being here over 250 years.
