I appreciate how as soon as Greg said “I lived it” in reference to his time in Green Bay Nick immediately stopped whatever point he was gonna make, said “tell me” or “tell us” and listened to his whole story/point.
These guys are all much more respectful and organized at debating than a lot of other shows, even on their own network.
Stark difference compared to Skip Bayless and how he disrespected a top 3 HOF Tight End
Nick toned down his douchiness a few years ago and it was a good choice
It’s the little things like this
@@SpDubb1995 to be fair he did have to deal with cris carter 😂
things like this keeps the community together 👏🏾👏🏾
Bruh they haven't even won back to back yet let's chill out lmao
Thank you !!!
Frfr
Lmaoooo they had me forgetting they didnt win in 2021/2022 lol
Nick just when i was starting to like you, this month has been filled with ridiculous takes and we are only 13 days into July 😅😂
Fax my goodness
Why are we even having this conversation right now, Chiefs have to repeat first before this conversation should even be a thing
Nick's Chiefs run the show apparently lol
🐻⬇️
How's this comment doing?? !!!!!!!!! Bahahahaha!! Chiefs BEAT 49,s!!!!!
Yeah shouldn’t even be a convo until they at least go back to back 😂. Love the confidence though
ready for it?
Wilds saying he was on that patriots team that went back to back had me dying 😂😂😂
Nick made a great argument but I don’t see it happening still. Even if the Chiefs do continue to get better, injuries can still happen and if the wrong guys go down that can derail a potential SB run in the blink of an eye.
So without injuries, 3 peat is a possibility? Cause that is what Nick is saying. Avoid injuries and the chiefs are good enough for a 3 peat.
Lol So your only argument for not seeing it happening is injuries? That's a factor for literally every team.
And even without injuries, it's not like they're an unbeatable team. Nick sometimes talks about them as if they're an inevitability of football, but it's not like either of their SB wins were blowouts. Both of them came down to the last minutes of the game, their SB loss was a blowout, and they got beaten out by the Bengals for the AFC Championship one season ago.
Nobody is going to deny that the Chiefs are a great team, but Nick talks about them as if they're in some otherwordly stratosphere where the only thing that could bring them to Earth are injuries when that isn't true. They almost got beat by the Texans in the regular season last year, ffs.
It's impossible to understand exactly how good Mahomes is unless you watch him every week. It's insane. He's Neo from the matrix. It's not just the amazing plays it's the frequency of them. It's not 2 or 3 a game. It's one or more per drive. And it's not just his physical talent - he's mature beyond his years and extremely intelligent.
And yeah, the NFL will only become more QB centered and more important.
they have a better chance than any in the last 40 years however its extremely unlikely so I think Nick's take is just way too bold
chiefs are the only team that do NOT NEED a quote unquote "number 1 wr"
Let's put this into perspective: the Patriots are the team that has gotten closer to a threepeat in a pretty long time when they went to 3 SBs in a row, winning to Atlanta, losing to Philly and then beating the Tams.
They did that:
Without Gronk in the first one and somewhat injured in the 3rd one
Trading who was their starting MLB Collins in season before even getting to the 1st one.
Rob Ninkovich, one of the main Dlinemen in the team in the 1st run, retired after it.
Letting their left tackle, Solder, leave in between 2nd and 3rd
Having their best receiver, Edelman, out for the whole year in the 2nd one
A lot of fluctuation in the WR and RB room as it was traditional in NE in the Brady era
Their best CB, Butler, didn't play in the 2nd one and left the team for the 3rd one. To be fair he was substituted by Gilmore but still, very important guy.
The couple of things that were constant all 3 years was Oline except LT, and McCourty, Chung and Hightower as the stalwarts of the defense. Of course, they did a lot of moves to compensate for all the roster turnaround, but my point is that it wasn't some of those pre-FA era runs where you had 30 of the same guys in the roster for a decade and if everything else was perfect you had the exact same situation every year.
So, sure, it's extremely hard to do, but as long as Mahomes is healthy I wouldn't put past this iteration of the Chiefs to do it.
A Patriots' fan.
Cheaters
and got caught cheating .....let's not forget that
The Patriots might be the least memorable team to have success especially considering how much success they have had.
On top of potentially going to 5 in a row if they had beat the Broncos in 15.
Got my bets in for MVP and SB. We ride with Nick Wright!
Nick said since the Patriots repeated the chiefs are the team that was the closest to do it, but both the patriots and the Seahawks were much closer to doing it. The Seahawks were literally a yard away and it's almost a fact if they run it in 4 times Marshawn scores in one of them, and the Patriots went to 3 in a row and the one they lost was still within reach as opposed to the blowout the chiefs suffered.
Also the reason he gives for the Chiefs not repeating in 2020, untimely injuries, could once more pop up in the next 2 years. If it was going to happen it was going to be in 2016-2018
Totally agree with you totally on Seahawks and Pats, objectively much closer to repeating
But idk about 2016-18... like the Chiefs would've three-peated then? Or just anyone in the AFC? AFC is pretty tough now but Chiefs been dominating it
@@timocruz510 The Pats specifically on 2016-18. The league would never again be that open with the old guard of quarterback either retired like manning or on their last legs like Big Ben and Phillip Rivers. The crop of young QB's like Dak, Goff, Wentz, Winston, Bortles, Carr, Geno all had glaring issues or deficiencies.
The chiefs definitely are the big dogs nowadays, but dominant as they are can be beaten, Nick said they won it even with no dominant receiver, but the past 2 years they also lost *with* one of the most dominant receivers on the league. And as 2020 showed, injury misfortune can come at any time and derail even the greatest teams.
@@fernandomoras9160 I think now that Brady has retired, their only really big obstacle is the Bengals. No one else in the league can match their offensive consistency, and last year their defence was mediocre, it may get even better.
In 2016 and 2017 the AFC was a joke, but I think if the Chiefs keep getting some breaks, they could possibly do it. Still pretty unlikely tho, but it's possible. 2020 Bucs were a very, very talented team, don't see many teams like that heading into 2023 tbh
Chiefs were not as good in first SB win as they are now.
@@SuperProGro whole heartedly disagree. They survived by the skin of their teeth in these last playoffs tbh. They almost lost to 49ers in SB 54, sure, but the other games kinda became out of reach going into the 4th. 2019 team was crazy explosive and had a better defence
I never hated the Chiefs until I found Nick Wright.
There was no reason to dislike the Chiefs since for 40 yrs before they got Malhomes they never won jack nothing
@@mikekinsella2822, yeah and suddenly now everybody hates the Chiefs. I find that to be really laughable and redundant. Chiefs fans had to put up with Patriots, Colts, Steelers, Broncos, and Ravens winning for years. Suddenly it’s their turn and all these fans have turned sour because they hate the Chiefs winning.
@@derekmathews1557so? When you are great, the haters come out, it's normal now. Enjoy it.
@@donarmstrong2182 , alright you are right. I will enjoy it.
As a Chiefs fan, unfortunately no, they won't. Would love to see it though
Definitely could repeat though, considering the age of the roster and consistency of mahomes Reid offense
We will though, as long as mahomes is upright and oline is healthy
As a chiefs fan, why do you think this? Last year was our rebuilding year. Our core players will be even better the next two years. The division still sucks. It’s possible to get the number one or two seed yet again. Their road to the sb is as clear as those old patriots teams
Have faith. St. Patrick is likely the best NFL player in history where even 13 seconds or one leg doesn't phase him. Injuries aside, this team will likely be SB favorites for at least 12 years and even very good but clearly lesser talents like Burrow, Lawrence, Hurts, Herbert won't stop him.
Bengals are gonna knock you guys off this year so be prepared for it. Joey B is coming.
The Chiefs were not the closest to repeating since the 03-04 Pats - The Seahawks were one yard away from repeating.
Good point
but they didn't! get over it! SMH
@jameskonnovitch he may not even be a hawks fan, he was stating a fact. Beast mode gets the rock and they go back to back. Pull that stick out from between your cheeks
@@jameskonnovitch ^
True, forgot about that. The chiefs have the best argument though, their floor with Mahomes starting is an overtime loss in the conference championship game.
I don’t get it cuz they haven’t even won two in a row
U don’t know ball
Nicks Trust and love for the Chiefs makes many married people pretty jealous😂
Of course its not likely that KC three peats.
But a team that traded Tyreek Hill, started rookie DBs, and had Juju as its second target just won a ring. Why can't they do something historic?
How are we talking about a 3 peat before they even win back-to-back? 🤣🤣😂
I had to think "did they win back to back??" And they haven't even done that 😂😂
Yes makes no since even talking a 3 peat till they get to 2 in a row which they have not done even that yet.
Pats didn't do it despite 9 Superbowls
Dallas didn't do it despite like 10 hall of famers
But the Chiefs will because Nick likes them
The worst take in this segment is Chris Jones being called better than Aaron Donald lol.
@@2times2is89so one year…. Once. How many DPOY does Donald have again? How many for Jones? He good, but better? Gtfoh.
As a Jags fan, I love Nick's adoration for Trevor Lawrence
I think y'all have the best chance next to Cincy to beat the Chiefs.. Dougie P in year two with Trev! 🔥🔥 and I expect a jump in defense
BTW, name & title, plz. Trevor Lawrence The Prince That Was Promised. It's a Nick Thing!😂
@@Niiigg89 Thank you! Every time I tell people exactly what u said, they just tell me I'm only saying this because I'm a Jags fan. They said the same thing when I said Miami was going to the Finals before the playoffs started. I'm just waiting for that Jags - KC AFC championship game 🍿
@@umgood915 😂😂😂 my apologies
The Prince that was Promised lol
5:03 If the Chiefs don’t win the SB this coming season, this is EXACTLY what Nick is going to bring up, mark my words
Oh buddy, can't wait to see what these comments look like a week from now 😂😂. Hey everyone.
As a chiefs stan, let’s chill out, it takes 1 injury to change the trajectory of the whole team
Bro said "i was on the team" LMFAO
I’m a diehard Chiefs fan, have been for the last 15 years. In Mahomes we trust, however id like to see them go back to back before we talk about 3peat
I don't think it's likely, but out of all the teams, they have the best chances to 3 peat.
No they don’t they aren’t even going to win it this year. The Demar Hamlin injury pretty much handed them the 1 seed and without that they probably don’t even make the Super Bowl. And tbh, the AFC championship game was stolen from the Bengals. The Chiefs won’t even be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl this year.
@@skillethead15, man you are super whack. The Bengals got the AFC Championship stolen them? 5 sacks, 2 interceptions from Joe Burrow, should have been 4; I could say the Bengals stole that divisional game from the Ravens and they shouldn’t have been in the AFC Championship too if the Ravens had competent playcalling. Overall, the Chiefs until further notice will be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl again. Because nobody else in the AFC has Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid but the Chiefs. The top quarterback/head coach duo in the league by a long shot. Aaron Rodgers can’t win playoff games. Tua can’t stay healthy. He’s one hit away from retirement. Josh Allen is inconsistent in the postseason. Like outside of the Bengals and Chiefs I can’t name any SB contenders.
@@derekmathews1557 Like I said, Joey B is coming for them. He’s done it before and he’s gonna do it again.
@@skillethead15 And he just lost. So Chiefs have done it before and they are gonna do it again...
Chiefs are the top dogs of the NFL LOVE IT
NFL - not for long
They’re skipping the double dog and are going straight to the triple dog dare.
"a couple levels past Rodgers" lolol low key giga diss
Hes right if the league didn't beat chiefs with 8 rookies it's gonna be hard now to beat them
The thing that kills me about Chiefs fans is that if any other Qb gets any shine at all, they start whining like, "Well, what about Mahomes? Yeah, but Mahomes is better, etc..."
It's like chill tf out already. 2 things can be true at the same time. Other Qbs can get recognition while knowing Mahomes is still the best out there. Smh
To have a 3 peat conversation it would only make sense to discuss it on a team that's won 2 straight. That hasn't even happened with these Chiefs and Nick wants a 3 peat discussion
They are talking 3 because its never been done.
When wilds said “Yea I remember I was on the team” i lost it lmao 😂😂😂 this dude is hilarious!!
The Cowboys came close to a three-peat, they had 3 in 4 years. Troy and the Boys were pretty good then, and Cowboy fans would argue that losing Jimmy Johnson in the third year is the real reason they didn't win 4 in a row. It's absolutely possible to do this.
Repeating will be difficult enough. Three-peat? Probably not likely. But can you count them out of that potential? No. That's what makes these discussions fascinating - because they COULD. No one is seriously putting that narrative on any other team currently.
As anyone who has played sports would say: "The season is so long", not to say we are talking 2 seasons in advance.
When he put the snaps of Chiefs with the Bears and Texans you could see Jennings face change and say well you got a point!!!
This is an example of fandom clouding one’s judgement. While Nick is right that the Chiefs are set up about as good as any team to do it, he’s not being realistic about how hard that is. Even if they crush the regular season every year and get the #1 seed each year, they still have to go 9-0 in playoff games. Injuries, other teams improving, random bad game, flukes… it’s just so hard in the NFL.
brou lookin great today😊
I swear lebron and mahomes must be paying Nick a yearly salary cause the way he reps them is just amazing
If the 90s cowboys couldn't threepeat the current chiefs aren't doing it
God I love Nick
They haven’t even won b2b yet!! 😂😂
let's talk about first repeat in 20 years, not a three peat that's not even close tbh
He's right.
They will 3peat. It's inevitable...
As a Chiefs fan this take is over the top ridiculous 😂
he really said jones was the best D-tackle in the game...
It should have been Jokic and Nuggets
Because super bowls have already been won we should take in and appreciate the hall of fame careers of Kelce, Mahomes, and possibly Jones. If they win anymore super bowls that is a bonus.
Nick is such a fan boy of the Kansas City Chiefs you can’t take him seriously. It’s just now entertaining only.
Pretty sure you gotta repeat before a threepeat.
Come on now. Let’s wait till they repeat
Slow day at the office in mid july
"The Prince will want to be paid in buillon" 😂😂
Remember the Bills went to four straight super bowls
Brou has only been gone 1 day and Nick said bet we talking Lebron and Mahomes
Aw,yeah Greg Jennings subbing for the great broussard.lets go!
Nick uses Pats milk in his breakfast every morning
You're jealous aren't you??😂
What? Seahawks were a yard away from repeating in 2013 & 2014
The Patriots were 9 points away from 3-peating in 2016-2018, in fact Patriots were 3 total wins away from 5-peating between 2014-2018:
2014 - won SB
2015 - lost AFCC
2016 - won SB
2017 - lost SB
2018 - won SB
Didn’t Turnovers prevent the Pats from three peating in 2005?
When Nick talks about the Chiefs, Mahomes and Lebron all I hear is *gawk gawk gawk*
lol is July .. there’s little to talk about so this is an outrageous take..having said this,if anyone is going to do it in the near future is KC 100%
💯, if you had to pick someone .... Chiefs
But it's not a good bet
The only team who had a chance to 3 peat was the Cowboys back in the 90’s. If Jimmy doesn’t leave cuz of JJ, who knows!!! That team was loaded on both sides of the ball
49ers could have done it beforehand but Montana got hurt 😢
@@joeyzapata6786 They were the 💩 in the 80’s
@@Bigload992G They were great in the 90s too. Steve Young being constantly hurt and Deion going to the Cowboys stopped us from getting six or seven super bowls 😣
Could happen but very hard to say if they have key injuries.
There’s a team in the AFC North that will definitely have something to say about that! And the Chiefs fans know exactly who I’m talking about 💯
Yes we know who they are but that’s the only one. Browns and Ravens just don’t scare me. Lamar Jackson’s style will never win him a Super Bowl. Deshaun Watson has yet to not be rusty. Steelers are not a playoff team. This whole AFC is loaded thing is an embellishment.
Lol..well y'all have had something to say about it...and that's where it stops.
Start by winning 2 in a row. Then we can talk about 3.
Winning 2 is not a hot take
Its been done
So cheifs 3-peating is a worthy discussion but nuggets going b2b isn't?
Nick has become the most biased "analyst"
Yes. Because the Chiefs have been to 3 Superbowls out of the last 5. The Nuggets have only been to 1 NBA finals. Let them get to a second one and then we can start talking about B2B and 3-peats.
The Nuggets can repeat just like the Chiefs can. But both teams are in two entirely different situations and sports .
This is his skip bayless origin story.
2:35 "dominated the AFC title game" is a bold lie.
He was talking the Titans game
Da** can they repeat first 😂
The chiefs WR core is not going to be a problem for a while. when the chiefs drafted Skyy Moore a lot of analysts said he was there favorite WR coming out of the draft that same draft they got Justyn Ross who if he didn’t have that big injury he would have been one of if not the best WR coming out of the draft.
I like that take big dog
I think Chris Jones is overlooked because of the offense as mentioned, and partly because the defense gave up a lot as well so it kind of watered down his production.
Also I think the Chiefs will be fine with or without Hopkins. I have faith in Sky Moore. He was abysmal at punt returns to begin his career but later on he came back and looked improved. I don't expect anything less. I would bet money on him looking better this year.
Man, I love the Chiefs but can they repeat first before we start asking this?
Boutta say the same thing
Well if the Bills can make it to 4 straight (and lose everyone) I think it's possible for the Chiefs to make it to 2 more and win them. If no team had ever made it to 3+ in a row than I would be with you guys, but I believe winning 2 more in a row can be possible and the Chiefs have the best chance.
The chiefs had a similar stretch in 2019, late season. But still prevailed. They will benefit from the bye week again and be fresh to even it up with cinnci in the playoffs again
They won SB with Mahomes limping around
Bruh winning 2 superbowls is already rare like top 10 rare
The team that got closest to a 3 Peat was the 1990 SF 49ers. If Roger Craig doesn't fumble..they beat the Giants in the NFC Championship and would surely have won the Super Bowl with Joe Montana at QB who was also MVP that year
If you wanna go back to the 90s then you gotta include the Cowboys too. 3 chips in 4 years.
They're talking about the team most likely to do it since the Pats had back to back chips in 03&04
I’d say it was the 2014 to 2018 Patriots. 2015 they are a two point conversion from OT (forced by a missed extra point), and the Panthers then melted down in the SB. And in the 2017 SB they inexplicably benched Malcom Butler and lost a game they scored 33 points in … They won the other 3 SBs. 2011 to 2018 was actually 8 straight CC games, 5 SBs (3 in a row) and 3 rings 😳
Haven’t even won b2b. What a ridiculous question
Thr prince😂😂😂😂
Why they talking a 3 peat when they have not even repeated yet?
3 peat?? let them win back to back first 😆
Let them win back to back first 😂😂
Nick guaranteeing something he's never even thought about being able to experience opposition at this level is effing so laughable
For all the people saying "let's see them get back to back first".... Oops
Where's the main squad??
The media needs to stop acting like not signing Orlando Briwn again was a loss. He allowed either the most or second most pressures last season.
The Seahawks were closer to repeating then the Chiefs sadly
There defense not good enough to repeat..and am a fan...nick out his mind
“How can we expect the jets defense to keep up”
“We won with the most rookies playing, I expect the defense to get better”
Guys remain a fan work hard and your moment will come. Nick know he can’t get pass the bias.
What Nick is talking about is the BB method. You don’t overpay for anyone when you have your QB, you get rookies and underpaid players to buy into your system, make them look much better than what they actually are because of your QB and all time great coaching and flip them.
Talent wise? Yeah they could, but there are so many boxes that need to be ticked to go b2b, the biggest is injuries.
yes 👍🏽
We have to repeat before we three peat
Nobody has ever won three in a row in the NFL and it's been 20 years since someone won back-to-back these media people need to relax
Thank you captain obvious
But its a show in July, guess they could talk about the Dodgers rainbow uniforms, but you wouldn't be here if they did.
Long as KC chiefs have showtime Patrick mahomes they have a chance especially with the team we consistently building through the draft
Need to Brou back to bring nick down to earth 🤣🤣🤣
6:40 But I trust the Chiefs player development and WR coaches, I think Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice, and Justyn Ross has the potential to be a top 3 WR core in the next couple of seasons.
7:22 To add on to that point, I think we should take a TE to be our heir to Kelce in the first round of next year's draft
Think it’ll be Gray jus give it time he’s been under Kelce a few years
I think that’s what the Chiefs will do. Draft a couple TEs.
@@KevonDaDon Gray and Forston are good supplements are sure.
Broussard seems to be the problem with this show. This is a much more watchable program without the constant interruptting
