That is the best looking slantnose I've ever seen. Everything just looks right on that car.

The slant nose is hard to drive due to depth perception. Other than that it's Cool

As always Magnus is laid back and easy to work with. Great job on this! I remember Mario Andretti's DP 935 slant nose reached a maximum bid of $300,000 back in 2018 at Mecum auction in Kissimmee. I think it was estimated to sell between $350k and $400,000. People who buy these cars, buy them for nostalgic reasons, the history and the uniqueness of these rare legends. My guess is most don't see themselves spending $350 to $400,000 on a vintage 911 when they can buy a modern car that'll run circles around it. I love these cars, and I love the Miami car culture and the passion behind the wheel of the cars that they drive and own. Miami Vice, exposed a lot of these rare cars that you see on the road today and helped inform the world of their existence. ✌️

All that cocaine cash coming into the dealerships in Miami during that time gave those dealerships first dibs on the cream of the crop vehicles with any options people wanted.

Always loved the slant-nose! Also now known as the Synthwave Porsche. As for 80s fashion, that was an interesting time, I spent my teens and some of my twenties there, teal green haired punk/ new wave kid. Great times, and legendary cars!

Living thru the 80's in Atlanta.Slant nose cars were haunting the street scene regular. From mechanic race teams over nighting ,titanium half shafts to repairing fiber glass to turbos. In the eighties Atlanta had a heavy Slant nose and Miami and Road Atlanta connection. Disco's at night, an showing about town in a Slant nose got you front and center
Like it is today, some like them ,some don't like them at all ( but these usually are not Sports Car people. So to me ,They Don't Count !
I'd pick a Slant nose over a RWB, and I would find one over a number of Porsche Models.
Great car, brings back great memories, of drugs, sex and disco's.
John Paul Sr and Jr Racing and all that craziness. Back when Atlanta was still a young City.
    Good show Magnus!

Dude, you guys went all over Miami. This was a hero car for me when I was young, living in Miami/Fort Lauderdale. I like this spec very much. Usually, always see them in white with Brumos stripes. My high school buddy's dad raced with Brumos ( I think) in a 914/6 in orange. So I got to see some cool Porsche stuff. This is usable exotic I would love to own.

I almost bought a -83 DP3 935 back in 2016 but due to the owners health issues while he was restoring it, it sadly fell through. I even went to Overath and visited Patrick Zimmermann, Ekkehard’s son, to try get some information about the car. Unfortunately that also fell through as they never kept any records of the builds of the cars back in the old days, but it was EPIC to talk to Patrick and get a tour of their shop’s facilities. The same building they built the cars for Le Mans in the 70’s. I haven’t given up on the dream of owning a DP Porsche.

(EDIT: I just got a message from DP Motorsport confirming the car I have photos of was a 935 dpII. So maybe Pete owned a few DP Motorsport cars.) I have photos of that Porsche from 1989 when it was still red. My dad was a Porsche/Audio mechanic and Pete had brought his 930 into a small shop on Montgomery Rd in Cincinnati to be worked on. The name of the shop was Montgomery Automotive. My dad previously worked at Northland Porsche-Audi in the Forest Park area. I worked with him when I was a teenager, cleaning the shop, cleaning cars and sometimes picking up/dropping off cars. Anyway, I have a few photos of his 930 sitting outside that shop. Pete just died, so I went looking for more info about his old Porsche (because I remembered it) and here I am. If that is indeed Pete's old car, it was for sure red back in 1989 when I worked at that shop. I put the photos in a web gallery, but not sure I can post the link here (if it's restricted or not)... but I can share the link/photos if you want to see them. It's just point and shoot film camera snapshots. Or...maybe what I have photos of is a 935? The fog lights are different on the one I have photos of, but it's one Pete owned back then.

I know this guy knows what he’s talking about. He’s been a dealer in Miami forever, but DP was never ever before, Alois Ruf and his father in 1939; Zimmerman/DP built race chassis that’s what he was known for. Ruf modified and reengineered factory Porsche STREET CARS not race cars. Totally different.😮
