Hey brother. Great video very appreciate you taking the time to explain how to remove the front wheel. Sure wish you could do this without the annoying music. Safe travels
Great video brother... Thank you ! My question is: Do I need to remove the brake discs from the wheel in order to have the tire mounted ? Or can I leave them on the wheel ?
Thank you for watching! I’m glad I could help! You can leave the brake discs on if you’re taking it to a shop to get a new tire. They won’t need to remove them🤙🏼
That washer that goes between the tire and the fork, does it need to go in a special way. Such as with the rear tire, the lines on the washer has to be to the outside away from the tire. Thats my question. Good instructions, thats why i subscribed.
Great question and thank you for subscribing! On the front wheel, the lines on the spacer are only for visual reference. They make it easier to see which one is longer without having to take them off the bike. That way, you can tell if the spacing of the wheel is correct. I try to make sure the line is closest to the fork leg so it’s easier to see. Hope this helps 👍🏻
@@KevinSornig I put a new tire on my 2021 Kawasaki vaquero, and I had to go back to a TH-cam video to see which way the lip on the spacer goes. Very important!
Always use some type of grease or anti seize on your axle. I always clean and re-grease the axles but I forget to add that into the video. Thank you for the heads up!
Are the torque wrenches really necessary? Not challenging the vid because it's an awesome vid and I just bought a Street Glide so nice to know about the brake calipers, but I've swapped wheels before on my Wide Glide and just went with my instincts as far as what was enough and never had a problem.
Thanks for watching and your comment, I always use a torque wrench to prevent putting things on over torqued. The main issue I’ve seen without using a torque wrench is that you can over tighten the axle and cause it to put excessive pressure on your wheel bearings. So for me I feel they are necessary to keep my customer safe👍🏻.
I misspoke when i said 28 ft pounds, I want to fix that in the video but haven't figured out how to edit the clip without having to re-upload. Given that this video has received a decent amount of views I would hate to have to re-upload and lose that progress. Thanks for watching and my apologies!

Thanks for watching! I realized that the music isn’t necessary so I’ve been avoiding using music in my newer videos, ride safe👍🏻

Thanks for the sub and glad I could help!
Appreciate the vid, very detailed but once you said 28 on the brake cal first time then 18 when you did it.
Thanks for watching, I’ll have to go back and edit that part thanks for letting me know!

I needed this info to work on my road king......Thanks!!!

Interesting. My service manual for my 21 road glide says to use anti-seize inside the tire where the axle goes.

70 18 28? , 18 being the pinch bolt
70 is the axle, 18 for the pinch bolt, and 28 for the calipers. Hope this helps 🤙🏼
Kevin, you said 28 lbs for brake bolts, then you put at 18lbs
