    Honestly it feels like you could drop both the lightbar and the spots and not notice much of a difference… kind of makes me rethink my future lighting plans.

      Yup, these are bright enough, I can do that, but more the merrier, right? LoL. I am planning to angle the 2 inch spots little off to the side to give me more side coverage.

    I have the ADF bumper bar - it's actually not deep enough to fully support the Auxbeam 7" lights. I'm having mine modified to have a nice solid deeper platform for my own 7" lights which are a different brand (stay tuned!). I did write to Patrick to see if he'd want to do the modification, but politely declined. Love the bar though.

    Wow! Those are some amazing lights! I like your homemade bumper bar too! I have the Anderson Design one. I like it, but I like your solution a little better b/c you kept your D-Rings in the “stock” location rather than being offset and changing the vehicle’s original towing/recovery point angle. I hope you’ll make a video on how you made your bumper bar!

    Awesome install and video! Is it legal to have amber cover on your light pods in Washington state or does it have to be covered in black? I have 4 light pods on my rally innovation bumper light guard, 2 on the hood by the windows wipers, and 2 on the side mirrors for a Subaru outback wilderness.

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO

    In the owners manual it says leaving anything mounted in the tow hook slot can ruin the ability of the airbags to deploy. I understand the why and the how, but curious on others thoughts.

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for bring that to my attention. I've gotta look into it now.

    • @coyotetacticalsolutions
      @coyotetacticalsolutions ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is what I was told by a Subaru Engineer. If there is a crash with anything left mounted in the tow hook slot (especially a non-compressible solid), it can cause all the force to be directed to a singular point, vs a distributed load across the entire front crash bar. That will prevent the airbag sensor from reading correctly, and deploying as necessary. There is no way to test it unfortunately, except just doing it and hoping for the best outcome. Not all frontal collisions are the same, and where it may not deploy in one case, it may deploy fine in another. @@ChasingAdventuresCO

    Yo. Another informative video 👍 Couple questions. On the front bumper DIY mounting bracket, super cool btw, would it be possible to have the lights mounted on the front side at 90° instead of the top side? Wouldn’t that eliminate the issue with the ability to take the covers on and off without having to adjust the lights again every single time? Second question… what is that on the roof and where’s the Yakima?? 🤔

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joe. Thanks!! And it's a good idea, but unfortunately, I can't mount it 90° but I just shaved down the covers edge a little bit, and it works without having to lift up the lights. And I still have the Yakima, but that box is Thule Foothill Roof Top Tent ⛺️ 😀 !! I just used it on my last camping trip at an epic location, so that video will be up soon!

      Total electronics noob. What exactly is at risk of burning out from being over taxed? I'm thinking of putting some aux lights, either pods or roof beam. Would likely have a garage install them but unless you specify what you want, they'll just do what you ask them to do. Alternatively, they could offer advice and guidance and then charge you an arm and leg for it.
      The output from the demo in this video is exactly what I'm trying to achieve. Could you link some products that would take the extra load off for long operational life of the stock relays or whatever is being burden?
