@@TrickZ_Retz - the way that woman is handling the dog is making its reactivity/aggression worse. She has good intentions but she should learn more about how to handle and train dogs. When she grabs its muzzle and shouts in its face is absolutely terrible handling and making the dog more stressed and fearful of strangers which will continue the cycle of exacerbating the aggression.

She has no control of herself. When she grabbed the muzzled dog and it cried, she was purposefully harming that dog.
tense nervous owner = tense nervous dog. Exercise would make a massive difference, that dog had so much energy it was bouncing off the walls of that little cage, and it was reacting to the ladies terrible body language. If you act scared in front of your dog then your dog thinks there's a reason to be scared and in this case goes into wolf mode.
Honestly, this dog just needs a new owner. She doesnt know how to interact with a dog in any way.. Your dog being aggressive?.. put your nose to its nose and shout at it.. Lose your face? Oops

My malinois did this the first time and I corrected her right away. Having a K9 dog, you can not let them get away with anything. You're the boss, and they have to do what you tell them to do. As an owner, you have to really be strict on your dog. Whatever you command, follow through with it. Don't let your dog do what he/she wants.

Also we don't know this woman's situation, she may have been very good to this dog but his behaviour may have made her anxious and fearful for other people. Lots of people make the mistake of not being a good leader for their dog so the dog becomes that leader, much of the time that's why a dog barks out the window because to them they're anxious about possible threats to the family. They don't know human customs or our laws or our social conventions, they know theirs and as humans we need to understand that.
This is why the dog whisperer is able to calm the dog (later in the show) just by being assertive, he is showing the dog that he doesn't need to be the leader and can calm down.
Just being good to your dog is not enough. A person doesn't go through animal training at any stage of their life unless they are interested in pursuing that. More people get a pet without learning a thing about that animal, except for the basics (how to clean it, when and what to feed it, etc).
It makes me so angry that people re home dogs for their own ego. Hearts in right place but also without the right consideration. I've yet too meet a bad dog.. only bad dog owners... its a dog.. let it be a dog.. give it love. Give it security. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY GIVE IT TRUST... TRUST.. TRUST ... TRUST.. The guy that took this Akita knew this. As much as I hate the money driven people that take on dogs from the pound for their own ego and consciousness I was pleased that they got help and realised the problem was Not the dog.... one less beautiful dog murdered because he didn't fit in with their Life.

People who can't control a dog should never be able to get a dog ever again. I got a rottweiler and a pitbull who I walk with loose and they never attack anybody or other dogs cause I have spent hours training them to be well mannered and calm in all situations. Hell kids even ride them and the dogs like to kiss and play with them

He doesn't say a word and just grabs the leash and makes it very apparent to the dog that he's in charge and once the dog had a leader it stopped barking and freaking out.
Don't put him down he loves you get him trained or find him a home where he can live out of a cage that would probably help a lot
unfortunately, it's literally the only thing they can do. Dogs like this, especially if he's male can't be trained past a certain age. The reason it's acting like that is non-socializing. The dog clearly hasn't had any experience near people or other dogs, meaning it's literally lived in a prison situation, completely alone from pup to Adult.

She treats that dog like crap, of course he's jumpy! German Sheppard's need A LOT of space to run and play; he has none. She uses a spiked collar that can easily cause injury when pulled on; she isn't even using that monstrosity properly. Those collars, while cruel when used at all, are meant to only be pulled taught by the dog tugging them, not the owner tugging them because the dog starts barking. She goes into total panic just approaching his cage because he is barking like a normal dog saying hello; he isn't even giving any signs of actual aggression until she starts screaming at him and getting his mussel and collar on him - he is expecting her to attack him and he is trying to get away. I can't imagine any reputable veterinarian suggesting in full seriousness that an aggressive dog should be euthanized; I wouldn't trust her friend with my animals. At least this woman does seem to love her dog and want the best from her situation. She needs to work on her fear and learning a dogs body language. What I saw in this video is not an aggressive dog.

I remember slapping the face off my friends American bulldog in his sitting room. Doing it for about 5 minutes playing everything was grand he was jumping up I was slapping him lightly in the cheeks. My friends mother walked in (very nervous woman) seen us playing said oh my god and with fear in her voice and it was like a switch was tripped in the dog. He stopped playing became very agitated. People don't realise how they effect dogs

The dog is not abused. The dig dies not need training. It's just a very nervous and territorial dog. Some dogs are just like that no matter what. The trainer can make him more manageable but the neuroticism is still there.
You're talking to dog fanatics, especially vicious dog fanatics, where everything the dog does is the fault of the owner. Never genetics or anything else.
