Some dogs can be very intelligent.
It was so touching when he said what the dogs would say if they could talk. "I need help!" We need more people with this kind of empathy... Animals are so precious and need to be protected at all costs
What a wonderful man
That was heart warming to see someone going around and trying to protect these dogs. Instead of the types that would quite happily kick the dog for no reason or just abandoned the poor mut.
My dog was my best friend for 16yrs, Lurcher cross Pharaoh Hound. He was called Summit, beautiful dog.
That pit was so pretty. If somebody fed her right and showed her some love that would be a solid dog no doubt. So sad to see that
Pitbull just got into a school and mauled 8 children. 70 percent of all dog maulings are done by pitbulls. Breed should be banned.
Imagine how great the world would be if everyone had this mans empathy and caring heart

We need to support people that want to provide help - financially, socially, medically. We need more people like this gent in society
Good guy......it always breaks my heart seeing dogs being ignored thrown a side like a thing/toy. Im glad that in the Netherlands there almost no straydogs, and most dogs are chipped.
Ppl that have some experience with dogs, who can read them, love them...pls consider for your nxt dog, a rescue dog.
It's a good deed (that's always a good thing) but its also so rewarding and most dogs are so grateful, they will melt your heart.

The rescue I volunteer with was part of this documentary. Dog Man is a life long friend of ours, helped me so much with my dog, but I was not happy with the editing of this episode. They cut out most things from our rescue and any solutions that are in place. Pretty much anything positive or constructive. They latched onto some weird characters like that guy who attended our class and his miniature pinscher ran away. It almost felt like that guy was a plant. He was only there for that class while they were filming, he was erratic and strange, and he never came back after the documentary was done filming. They interviewed many regulars who were working with their rescue dogs for years at Dog Man and put none of it in the film. Only the rando who showed up that day. It lacked information on what we are all doing and continue to do to help the shelter over crowding issues. Featured none of the solutions that were currently in place even though they interviewed several people who were part of those solutions. I always respected Louis as a documentary filmmaker, and then left feeling like I should take all documentaries with a grain of salt.

BBC producers always get final cut regardless of how much 'freedom' may have been given to film crew/cast. The difference in directors cuts and final cuts are usually insane in documentarys

Cornelius and myself have the same passion. It breaks my heart to see such wonderful animals abandoned or abused. When I win lotto, I’m building a dog sanctuary so even if they don’t get adopted, they can live a free life on my farm!!!!!

I have two rescues and one I've had since he was a puppy. one of my rescues is a large Transylvanian scent hound. She was dumped once in Bulgaria and then at a sanctuary in the UK she was taken home, kept for a while and then they just gave up. Took her back. Apparently she sat by the gate waiting for them to come back for weeks. 😢 All she needed was some understanding. She's such a loving sweet dog. I think she'd never been treated like a lady because she's big and black and was so scared all the time that she seemed angry. So I put a flower on her collar and there it has stayed. I get her a new one now and then. After a few months of treating her tenderly she started calming down. I never shout at her. Never get cross with her. Always talk softly to her and always share my toast and do little things like let her go first if we both get to a doorway at the same time.. She's brilliant. The best dog ever. She totally loves me and I her. She turns up for a hug session like clockwork. Morning, midday then bedtime. Just to get some cuddles because she knows she can. And she was dumped twice??
What a decent fella, stepping in and helping out the dogs, he is a rare breed, no pun intended

Pits are the best dogs, most people loving and social dogs.. and owner just tells the Dog Man it isn't my dog.. even tho the poor doggy goes straight back to that door. We should catch these owners on a leash, and put them in cages, not the dogs!
They're okay, certainly not the best by any means.

Most dogs are people living and social. Only pitbulls are statistically most likely to rip your throat out though.
