For me the HDMI input would already be the reason to upgrade. Thanks for commenting on the sound differences to the 6000a. Another question: Is the display of any practical use or just nicer to look at? Are there any other significant differences to the 6000?
Hi Francisco, They sound quite different. LEAK Stereo 230 is to the warmer side, but also feels a lot more powerfull than the 7000A. Whereas the 7000A seems more neautral in the presentation. Personally if price wasnt an issue: Stereo 230.

The Leak 230 isn't "a lot more powerful that the 7000A". The 7000a is rated on Audiolab's website at 70 watts, the Leak on its website at 75. Both are owned by IAG. Leak was a failing brand. IAG bought it as a turnaround project like other brands. They sell massively more Audiolab products than Leak. The most likely scenario is it's the same amplifier, mostly designed for the major product line Audiolab, that was mildly tweaked for Leak. Both amp's use the same DAC for example. The Audiolab is a modern, neutral amp, the Leak more of an amp with some traditional British colouration. The biggest hint is looking at how their packaged. The 7000a is ultra modern and sleek: the 230 old school. Diff in marketing on the outside but mostly likely virtually the same on the inside. I wouldn't buy the hype but what look and sound you like.
@@davidschultz29he didn't say that it was a lot more powerful (other than when you quoted him out of context). He said it, "FEELS a lot more powerful than the 7000A." This is valid feedback from someone who has actually listened to both amplifiers. Ironically, you later go on to say, "I wouldn't buy the hype but what look and sound you like." He provided a good description of what it sounded like and you completely dismissed it earlier in your comment!
Great video. Good to hear a range of music not just the style that 'best' to show off the kit on demo. Well done.
Hello, thanks for your videos.
I have a linton with 6000A, but I would like to know if they are better with leak 230? br,
Hi Horacio,
LEAK Stereo 230 is on another level, and quite the upgrade from 6000A :)
Con Yamaha a-s1200 si sposano bene i Linton?

Agree, HDMI ARC is definitely a big plus compared to the 6000A.
why? to connect a TV? only 2.0? movies are 5,1 or 7,1

hello, leaving the aesthetic part aside... which amplifier has more synergy with the linton, the audiolab 7000a or the leak 230? thank you

The Leak kit is a Quad amp circuit in a different chassis NOT the Audiolab circuit.@@davidschultz29

Can you tell me which one is better, mahogany and walnut?
Anyone help. I have a 3000 budget set up. Also a bose revolve l..

че за ультразвук в начале видео, как ножом по ушам! Так же нельзя!
Sounds too harsh and bright an lean to me. No body in the music.
No one ever plays good music on these speakers....
Lol 😆 running into the same problem. I dig the Mona Lisa acoustic video by someone
Could be a copyright issue. Limited on choices perhaps.
Zero bass. Sounds like Audiolab to me.
