    I have this combo, 6000a + lintons and in my opinión they need a more powerfull amp, maybe the 7000 or others. This comparative is gold by the way. Thank you so much!

    For me it's clear the 7000 and 9000a are the most refined ones, with good control and definition, going up in the line-up. However, the 6000a is still a charmer by sqeezing 'everything it can' out of it in an engaging way.

    Thank you. It's clear that the Lintons will increase in sonic performance the more power you push into them.

      Every speaker will shine more the more power and control you give them. Linton has 90dB sensitivity, so is quite easy to drive. 6000A probably would have to struggle when connected to speakers with 85dB sensitivity f. ex. DYNAUDIO. Would be interesting to hear the shown amps with such sort of speakers.

      What is sonic performance? I'm not good in English

    6000a for casual listening. 9000a for more serious & refined sound. All sound good!!

    The jump in quality from the 6000 to the 7000 is surprisingly higher than I would have expected.

      I agree. Higher than from 7000A to 9000A imho.

    Nice step between all of them. 6000 to 7000 increases control and definition with a bit of bass punch. 7000 to 9000 clear punch improvement. Thanks for the review.

    What is the best amplifier match you have found for the Lintons whether it be old or new? And what wattage would you recommend to drive the lintons? I often play music loud. Cheers

      I'm interested to hear them paired with the new Yamaha R-N1000A.

    9000 or leak 230?

    The 7000 betters the 6000 in every way, is it really that obvious in the listening room? I really wanted to try out the 6000, but not if it's that far behind the next model up.

    I find the 9000a the most refined of the three. However, it is also the most boring to listen to. It lacks the bite and excitement of the 6000a and 7000a. The 6000a is less smooth. less powerful and a bit unrefined, but it is just more exciting to listen to than the 9000a. The 7000a strikes the happy medium between the two. More refined than the 6000a but more exciting to listen to than the 9000a. I'd probably choose the 7000a and save some money unless my speakers needed the extra power.

    Audiolab 9000A sounds the best of the 3. It sounds smooth, detailed and non-shouty. There is a cohesiveness and lack of treble glare, which is evident with the 7000A. Overall 9000A seems to be the best match for the Linton. I'm planning to connect the 9000A with my Denafrips Pontus 2 12th-1 DAC to enhance the detail retrieval further in an analogue fashion. Dim the lights, turn on the speakers with a warm drink in hand = Pure Bliss ❤

    Hi, after all you the videos with Lintons, what can you can suggest: Leak 230 or Audiolab 7000?

      Hi Alex, between LEAK 230 and Audiolab 7000A: 230 is the clear winner. More power and a better match :-)

    Connecting Lintons to Audiolab 6000 is a waste of Lintons. Lintons love extra juice, they need extra juice to reveal their secrets, and as much as you provide, they will use. Audiolab 7000 is merely the starting point, and barely so. Give Lintons steady 2 x 150W per channel, which means $5K+ amp, and then we're talking.

  • @roa5359
    @roa5359 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    To be honest, I really can't hear much difference, it's minute ... at least here on youtube. If you really need more power, get the 9000A otherwise, if you have relatively efficient speakers just stick with the 6000 or 7000A. Clearly the 6000A takes it for value for money. Problem is, once you get to the 9000A price range, there are some heavy hitter contenders from the likes of Hegel, Arcam etc.

    9000a for me it's the best , the max power for ' hungry' heritage it' s corrett. For my opinion the best buget amplifier for linton it's cambridge cxa81 ( 1.100 +/-) . Sorry for my english 😂😢direct challenge would be interesting cxa81 vs 7000 /9000a. the cxa 81 could even beat the 9000... a more open and lively sound would make the difference, perhaps a few less imperceptible details, but let's not forget that music should be 'listened to' and not 'analysed'.

    • @marcovanelli4215
      @marcovanelli4215 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cxa 81 vs 7000/9000 in classical musical, the song in the video is perfect for understanding the differences and understanding a little something even with headphones 🤟 i correct the cxa 81, it doesn't sound open, in summary I could say that it sounds 'slightly forward' and is very incisive in 'managing the current'.... the Cambridge tone, the maximum peak of current consumption, no crossover for sub..un mix of mysterious choices🤣 either you love it or you hate it but I think, I remain in doubt, however the doubt will remain about the next purchase of the 9000 or cxa81. I thank you for the video which helped me (in the shop I only heard the cxa81 and audiolab 8300, both excellent but I have a slight preference for the Cambridge tone.

      That's because the headphones, which we use to listen to this TH-cam video, more easily reproduce mids that Audiolab 7000 is opening up, plus the richer upper part of the bass frequencies. But to experience bass, it's punch in the stomach and its velocity, and enhanced stereo image in the room, headphones can't reproduce that well and that is where Audiolab 9000 delivers. Lintons love extra juice, they need extra juice to reveal their secrets, and as much as you provide they will use.
