This worked for me! I replaced the ink cartridges then followed the steps in the video (powered off, opened, moved cartridge rack over, powered back on, closed lids as cartridge rack started moving)
Excellent - the last option worked - powered off, opened, moved cartridge rack over, powered back on. On the way to cartridge park, shut top and good! Thank you!
What?!?! I was ready to throw this printer in the trash. (I mean... it's old, but it's been a little workhorse and I have a ton of ink cartridges, so it seemed such a waste.) The Canon site was zero help, and I thought I had tried everything to resolve. Cartridges were not empty, but printer head kept stalling mid-warmup-sequence. SO GLAD I found your video. Husband was 🙄when I closed the lid as the printer head shifted back to the right, per your final tip. We were both 😲😲 when it actually WORKED! Thank you!! 🙏
Thank You so much! Really helpful! Also will get error if printer does not recognize the cartridge . I use kingjet way cheaper that OE and printer recognizes cartridges. Thanks again!
My MX850 got B200, 1sec after Canon logo turning on. No chance to get the print head moving to the right and to the left. To get QY6-0075 is also difficult as very limited shops sell online as I'm a bit worried about buying a new or refurbished print head that will solve B200 error. I did wash, soak, rinse the print head and clean multiple times with no luck. Don't know why. Why does it take 1sec only after the Canon logo disappears the printer got a b200 error. Any clue guys? Thanks.
Probably the printer head had officially died. I've tried buying two refurbished ones off eBay and they have been rubbish the first was listed as new, but the ribbon cable had a rip in it. The seller keeps promising to send me a new one for over a year now. Bought a second one from another seller. It came in the same packaging as the first one. It was dead on arrival. You might be able to buy one that works that is refurbished but it would seem it's hit and miss. Perhaps try looking for a second hand MX870 to get the head from if it's not working.
@@outie555two Thanks for your reply. I bought one from eBay that came from China and it is totally rubbish as not I have got another error 1405 and 1660 which I believe fry my logic board printer. Try to return the print head to the seller but it seems the seller did hit and run as they cannot give me a return label. The question is if I buy the expensive printer head/refurbished one, would it be bring back my printer back on again? Quite rare to find reputable sellers in eBay now.
@@outie555two I also. They slid across the first time and I Replaced a cartridge and it rebooted well, so went to print and then B200 came up again. Went to do it again but now cant slide the printer heads across at all. Does it lock them down?
Give it a few goes and it might clear. The printer heads are getting old and this error is the early signs that the printer head will soon fail at some stage. You may need to buy a new printer head for it if it doesn't clear.
I can't get the printer heads to move with the printer turned off and unplugged. It's as if they are locked in place. I was able to move them the first time I tried, but now they're stuck 😞.
Do they move when you turn it on? If they do, then switch the printer off after they have started to move, then slide them to the middle of the rail and power it back on.
This worked at getting the error message cleared and allowed me time to clean the printers and paper feeds but when I actually tried to print something, the error came back. Would like to know if that happened to anyone else.
Just like waffles I too watched many videos, yours worked.. Now if you could help me get back into my Yahoo account you would be my hero. If you have any videos on that subject let me know. You may have a new subscriber.

Nice job buddy
This worked - its important that you lower the lid as the heads are moving backwards
yes!

Fantastic!
Mine cleared too but now it is back.
Holy smokes after watching five different videos, yours was spot on, thank you.
Thanks! That specific step of closing the lid while the cartridges slide to the right!
Replacing two ink tanks and closing the lid when the tank was moving did the trick. thank you so much!
You're welcome!
You beauty - never had an issue with this printer until today and fixed in a flash - thanks.
Great to hear!

This worked on my MX882 but then I told it to copy and the display went black... Now it won't power on at all. Thank you for the trick.

So far the 2nd step worked no more b200 error a timing issue thx
Nice, hopefully it stays that way. Otherwise you will need to buy a new printer head
Worked! Much appreciated outie. Took only 3 minutes!
Thank you! It totally worked on my first try!
Thank you sir! Your information was spot on!

The printer heads won't move at all. Not on their own and I can't move them...any advice?
Not encountered that with the printer on. Is your one off or on?

Awesome.3 part worked

Where is the video to remove the ink holder to clean it?

This worked for me.
Terrific
It worked thank you
I've tried everything including new head but still have the b200 error
I still get the B200 error without the print head installed so I think the B200 also relates to some other problem.
Mine removes the error after lowering the lid but time to print and it pops up again b200

Same here. It's locked to the right no matter how much I try to jiggle it and pull it. It doesn't move when powering on or off either
I ended up getting a new AiO printer, a Canon G7000 series, with ink that comes in bottles. Good luck!
Where is your other video?
Sorry, I think it's on my other channel, also called outie555
@@outie555two I don't find that. Link please

Just repeat the process until it turns on without the error and prints. That's what I do
Why are you speaking so softly! I can barely hear you.
Thanks for letting me know, I'll speak louder next time you watch the video.
I would like your video if I could hear you!
TH-cam should have generated closed captions by now, so please enable them. Hopefully that can assist with your hearing difficiency.
