  • Can a Surron get along in the desert and sand dunes and actually have fun doing it? We all had our suspicions and doubts, but the results were rather shocking. Check out what it's like to ride a Surron in the desert and in small sand dunes.

Haha I was wondering how these bikes did in the dunes since my buddy just got a Talaria and found your channel. Dropped you a sub. - BTW It's Brendan.

Was this stock wheel, sprocket?! I just ordered a 16” rear wheel and 54t sprocket and if it could do that on stock power, I can’t wait to get my controller!!!!!

Hey when you used the Kendall k760 tire since it’s large did you notice your sur Ron slow down in acceleration or anything like that?

The Kenda K760 is on my dads bike which I haven't ridden as much but if there is a power difference it's very minor, we haven't felt it. I recently took both bikes down to a sand area and ran a 90/100x16 on my bike with a full MX rear tire (amazing) and the Shinko 520A on the other bike on OEM 19" rim. It was interesting, the bigger/wider 16" floated the sand and had better traction, overall big improvement. The smaller lighter 19" Shinko sorta felt like it had more power, but really only because it spun a lot in the sand which fools you into thinking it has more power...but in reality it just doesn't have as much traction. I'll put a video together and post soon.

I recently built up a 90/100x16 with a motocross rear tire and it's amazing, I'll post a video riding in sand soon. It's winter here, not exactly easy to get out and ride at the moment :-/

Another strong review for the SurRon coming from a dirt biker! Sounds like you really liked it.
