  • A new device, called the PoNS device, is being used in a clinical trial taking place right now at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital in D.C., in conjunction with the Brain Injury Association of America. The device helps those with moderate to less severe traumatic brain injuries, like those patients who suffer concussions, with their balance. All of this is part of Brain Injury Awareness Month.

Sounds pretty cool. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis earlier this year. I walk like a duck.

Who pays you for it? Typically, a reimbursement plan requires 3-5 high quality clinical studies to be published and a widespread therapy utilization to be demonstrated. No real info

If we can believe to dr.Norman Doidge who describe Yuri Danilov trials, it would help. Personaly I dont care about clinical trials if it PoNS can treat TBI of every etiology. The Q should be Who pay for keeping great, helpful and cheap appliances away from public?

Unfortunately, it's just a scam. Good PR, but there is no benefit from this device.
