  • A Calgary clinic is offering a new technology aimed at helping those with brain injuries rewire neural connections. The portable neuromodulation stimulator sits on the surface of the tongue and delivers mild, high-frequency electrical impulses while the patient undergoes an intense regimen of daily physiotherapy. Isaac Kohtakangas was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2011. He had done research on the therapy and hopes to improve his gait and balance and walk without a cane. (August 26, 2019.)
