I love using a mortar & pestle, makes you more connected to the ingredients in a way. The one I have belonged to my late uncle, first my parents got it but they just had it sitting in a cabinet as decoration. When I saw that I told them what a waste that was and got to keep it for myself.
Thank you so much. This cook is exactly what we have been waiting for. We just took delivery of the same smoker and we plan on doing a prime rib on it for Christmas Eve.
I still prefer mine marinated in Madera wine from Portugal or Port wine from Portugal and herbs and spices roasted in a hot oven standing on its ribs. Thusly the term standing rib roast. Looks good and I would definitely eat it.
Hi, new subscriber here Quick question - which would you buy if you only had space for one: LSG's El Patron or their combo Grill, Smoker & Offset/Vertical Smoker? I like the look of the latter, though its lack of a rotisserie bothers me (seems that with a slight mod to its design, that could have been included).
Hi, Paul. I used the same 2.5 gallon zip top bag shown in the video. I like using the plastic bags because you can remove most of the air and really get good contact with the meat.
*Ballistic BBQ* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along on your cook. GOD Bless.
That looks incredible.

Awesome Greg! Got my El Patron a few days ago.
You're gonna' love it!

Nice Magpul shirt! I just got their Christmas beanie. Love it. And great vid. Happy holidays
Looks great, please keep doing cooks on the el patron! I am planning on making it my next grill and like to see how it cooks.
A very nice cook. The prime rib roast turned out awesome. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Cheers, Greg! 👍👍✌️🎄
Looks fantastic Greg! I’m going to use this technique for our Christmas rib roast, thanks!!😛
Thanks for watching Gary. Hope you and Heather have a wonderful Christmas!
Well done Greg‼️ This is my favorite way to cook‼️ ‼️W the spit‼️🤗🤗🥳🥳🤤🍻😋

I see a lot of people putting ranch seasoning on their burger and with the buttermilk and garlic herb it reminds me of that.
Prime Rib Roast is Expensive !!

I think the El Patron beats the grill/smoker by a hair, especially with the pizza oven feature and smaller footprint.
To add to what Greg said the base price of the El Patron is very reasonable for what you get.
I have really enjoyed my El Patron.
Is the house next to you for sale😁 Great cook sir.
How is raw better than cooked.
When you say you’re marinating it in the butter milk, does that mean it’s soaking like in a tub?

@ thanks for the response
