Well said…. Looking at your saturation temps is key.

Nice collection, been looking at the thermal images for a while, I need to have a better way of seeing refrigerant levels in the receiver, and the other uses as you stated. Thanks for the video.

I have a Flir Pro One that goes on my phone. It has been a fantastic tool at my disposal. Many uses for it.

Nice video bro, I'm 17 and I turn 18 in 4 and a half months, I just finished high school early and I am planning on attending trade school for the HVAC program, it's 9 months, hand on, and yea was wondering if you could weigh in, you think it'd be smart of me to jump in the HVAC feild now, I really have no prior experience but I have been binge watching HVAC videos and I am willing to to learn and get it down.

Thanks. If you feel like you're up for it you can go for it. School is great for basics and getting a feel for the tools and procedures but you really start learning when you get experience in the field.
If someone is willing to take you along or hire you it's not a bad thing at all.

Well stated Adrian....pressure is just temp anyways. More to the point....saturated temp vs line temp
**** WITH A THERMAL IMAGING CAMERA THE IMMISIVIVITY SETTING IS IMPORTANT FOR ACCURACY. IT DEPENDS ON THE REFLECTIVE NATURE OF WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO READ....BLACK OBJECTS DONT REFLECT HEAT, LIKE A MIRROR OR COPPER WILL. THIS CAN GIVE YOU FALSE READINGS ***

Do you have cheap and accurate thermometers for checking subcool and super heat?

I was wondering the same. Can I use a thermometer with probe (Klein ET05) to measure subcooling and superheat by placing the probe directly on the pipe or do I need a more expensive clamp style? Did you ever find something?
