I want to give an official shoutout to Intel for not changing the CPU socket for 14th Generation CPU's. 👍🏆
AMD fanboi's can finally shut up about Intel's CPU platform longevity.

Maining 12900KF 7900XTX going great. Am rebuilding board swapping the boards for the others 12700KF 3060 media pc build getting it's own Z690, and the B760M is getting put with a 12400F I got on sale earlier this week. So I'm moving the last 2 into new cases or unbuilding to rebuild idk. 12th has been a good value for upgrades. I have a lot of pcs coming from Spectre, moving on to 12th gen. I think I am sitting out 14th.

I'm really glad that you broke down the memory constraint differences from 12th gen/z690 and 13th/13.5th gen/z790. If you are trying to run 4 sticks of fast DDR5 ram, definitely going 13th gen+ and a solid board is where you start.
Edit: Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX is my board and it's been amazing.

I used the Asus Rog Maximus Z690 Hero on my Grand daughters build and has no issues so far. Price is 50% less than the release. Really good bargain.
This week the wife did buy a I9-14900K and flashed the bios on her Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master and it took. Than swapped the I7-12700 on Grand daughters board for wife's old I9-13900K. No issues with current bios. So I can confirm that most 1700 CPUs are interchangeable with the right board.
Yes AMD gets all the love from us gamers but don't overlook the crazy prices with Intel 12 and 13 generations right now. Especially when you can basically get a high end last gen board and CPU from Intel at stupid low prices.
Great information Jason on this. Your recommendations were spot on. Keep it up.

14700k on Z790, 2 DIMS only, one NVMe
Rest are for the Office, low power CPU, you never need office gear at home.
What Gen 5 drive ?? Gen5 NVMe ? on Z790, the Z790 AERO G, NOT ANY FASTER on the drives that are sold now, micron drivers are not any faster.
Solid State Dive, any PCIe slot !
Not sure what you need, but you never need his LOW POWER CPU's !!!!!
NO LOW POWER, understand it now, rest you can do in cards etc, but never buy the LOW POWER CPU's this guy is using. Why office crap at home ?

Last CPU's before my actual i5-11600K has been the i7-3770K and i've been totally overwhelmed by the hilarious number of available Bios-settings just related to the CPU.
It took months and some Bios-Updates to be able to set everything up proper. The automatic values didn't work with the very first Bios versions wich leaded to "exploding" temperatures and even an unstable system (Bluescreens and such). There have been a vast of settings i never heard before so it has been extremely hard to figure out working values to run the CPU ... at least stable.
Well, i just wanna say thank you for your amazing channel not only for beginners! Guessing i'll watch more of it soon because new hardware arriving xD

Thank you again Mr. Jason. I personally just picked up an Aorus master z790. Mainly for the second pcie slot running at x8 instead of x4 like most boards. I’m going to be using my 12700k in combination with my 3090 and an Arc A380 for a plex server/gaming rig. Although this board does not have thunderbolt I’ll be using a 50ft fiber optic usb 3.1 extension and a powered Lenovo usb hub along side a fiber optic hdmi for the 4K TV in my living room. Thanks to amazons second prime sale I was able to get the fiber optic cables for a great price. Already tested and I’m experiencing little to no latency

@@antesdedormir8732 Just got away with AMD. Bought a 7800x3d and will buy a mobo that suits in that in the future. Main issue I saw with the intel is I should be more careful when selecting a mobo because of those VRM issues (More watts for high end processors mean you need good quality VRMs. However, this is not a problem with AMD cpus). I'd suggest you to go for something like 7700x, 7600x, 7900x, 7950x (Non x3d version) for 3d modeling and rendering stuff. I bought 7800x3d because it is the best gaming cpu and my personal preference (not so good but enough for me with productivity stuff). Do some research. I spent freaking lot on this haha.

    • @nashonightmare
      @nashonightmare 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@antesdedormir8732 I got away with AMD. After hours of research one thing I found out was that intels are hard to cool, draws more power and most annoyingly hard to choose a mobo because z790 are so much expensive where I live. I chose Ryzen 7 7800x3d. I would recommend non x3d version for those purposes (7600x, 7700x, 7900x, 7950x). I decided to go with 7800x3d is the best gaming cpu even surpasses 14900k in gaming. It is decent enough for me for those productive purposes.
edit: b760 would be enough for 14400k but it should have good quality vrms for those k processors. Also it would be a waste to buy a k processor if you are not going to oc or other tweakings. z790 chipset boards have good power delivery and decent vrms but they are quite expensive here. I can just go with a mobo under 100$ for the 7800x3d and dudes saying its easier to cool with even the stock air cooler (probably I won't and will go for arctic lf3 or lf2 360mm).

These are gamer creator boards, and creators need FAST storage, so we are looking for lots of max memory, and lots of high speed external options, and overclocking so we can run Lightroom and Photoshop to the max. You mention Wifi on every board as a feature, yet in the start you mention how this can be added on and its no big deal...which I agree with, (who cares for Wifi when its a box with LAN, not a laptop).yet on the specific Mobos you mention 2 maybe 3feature sets and the wifi is one...Help us non gaming creators out! :-)
