@@robertcampbell8070 There's a very cool game time with Burnie and Gavin where they literally go through Gavin's life story on how he got into RT, the trials and tribulations of getting a visa to even work for Roosterteeth, and his adventures working films and what that was like. If you haven't watched it and you want to learn more about Gavin, I highly recommend it.

I love how on Achievement Hunter and all that, Gavin Free sounds and acts like such an idiot, but he's actually a super smart dude in reality. I love him lol
Best way I've had it explained was Ryan. "Leave it to Gavin Free to go from genius on motion and film, to shrieking about a creeper giving him a hug. I wish I could turn my brain off too"
My favourite Gavin moments are when he asks a question, gets confused about his own question, stutters, and then just goes ‘wait what’ like he just blew his own mind at the fact he is controlling his own mind
same, I'm used to seeing him in AH as the uncoordinated goofball behind lava chicken or flinchless bouncy doo. it's so wild to me seeing him as a knowledgeable expert other people contact for insight lolol
React to "Gravity" in details and how they shot it, how they put a long take together, especially the scene when Ryan try to put out the fire and hit the wall in a different direction...and so on, thanks, love you guys video. Hi from Thailand.
You can tell how talented and thorough Gavin is, just by monitoring Sam's approval. The dude is chill and somewhat stoic and usually not very quickly impressed with something.
Scene request from Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, where Soren is flying in the rain or in the fire. The feathers of the owls looks so amazing 😫
There's an AH compilations channel who is making a video comparing Gavin in Slow Mo Guys to Gavin in AH. Genius filmmaker to bird noises, he runs the full spectrum.
he plays full dunce for Achievement Hunter, and only about 20-30% dunce for Slow-mo shots, you see it when he fails to do simple things like stand up straight, or he fumbles stuff, but then he slips out of character when he really gets talking about how his camera's work and a few of the more sciencey stuff they've done (Like AH Gavin would never be able to talk about how old CRT screens refresh or how their pixles are, he'd just ask Ryan a stupid question and make him explain it)
The most unbelievable thing about the driving in Parasite was the amount of time they appear to be driving without stopping. The traffic there is awful.
Yeah they looked at the effects on de-aged Jeff Bridges. I'd like them to look at the effects of the action pieces, like the light cycles and the final chase sequence to the portal.
@@healingthoughts3166 yeah the story itself is very run-of-the-mill. Having said that, I still quite enjoyed it. Though I admit probably mostly because of the fantastic visuals.

As VFX artist, I enjoy watching you guys while learning what could be for our community and what to improve for my own work. Thanks a lot!
Mowgli - Legend Of The Jungle, the middle-aged manimal faces are just gold.
Kong : skull island, scenes in the skull island.
The big battle at the end, in the lake. That was AMAZING. The sense of scale and mass and power was perfect.
I wish I could turn my brain off too"
@@Leucienfireweaver the same gavin who put his finger up a cat ass
My favourite Gavin moments are when he asks a question, gets confused about his own question, stutters, and then just goes ‘wait what’ like he just blew his own mind at the fact he is controlling his own mind
Hes basically a super genius with slow mo cameras and science, but with video games and basic thought? He tends to let loose
he's just not used to anything that moves at 1x speed.
"Wild WIld West" the collapsible train legs and the robot spider.
They should definitely do that. The movie is godawful.
Do “Limitless “ ! The beginning of it has a infinite zooming. Wanna know how it’s done.
I never knew there were so many VFX involved in Parasite until I watched this video! What an incredible work!
"Now listen to me very carefully" Terminator 2 Judgement Day when Arnold cuts off his skin
It's a dummy with fake blood. Probably pig skin or just rubber.
@@kin-3877 its exacly that i seen behind schene
It's not a vfx shot. It's a practical effect.
yes
I'm always so used to seeing gavin as part of achievement hunter or slow mo guys that I forget he is actually very well rounded
same, I'm used to seeing him in AH as the uncoordinated goofball behind lava chicken or flinchless bouncy doo. it's so wild to me seeing him as a knowledgeable expert other people contact for insight lolol
Stranger things, Demogorgon breaking out of the wall at the school
Yes. All of Stranger Things!
Trash
"Train to Busan" there is a lot of great scenes to react to in this movie
Me, everytime the ads start: Aw man, it's over already?!
yeah same
I hit the like button cause of the tie thing at 6:05
nice catch
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me - At the end of the opening credits, he comes up out of the pool in his normal outfit completely dry... how??
Reverse.
Reversed footage.
Ahh, yes. That makes sense.
He is just awesome ike that
Michael van Dijk That’s what I was thinking tbh, just needed confirmation I guess. Though I should’ve known better. lol
React to "Gravity" in details and how they shot it, how they put a long take together, especially the scene when Ryan try to put out the fire and hit the wall in a different direction...and so on, thanks, love you guys video. Hi from Thailand.
Gth-cam.com/video/iSDasOegDy0/w-d-xo.html
Cuz I use to did one short film with some similar VFX, here's the link th-cam.com/video/uk8kvGGUKow/w-d-xo.html
The forest scene in Sherlock Holmes 2 makes the whole movie worth watching. The music, the slow motion, it's just a perfect scene.
The new and old Predator movies. The new has some bad shots, like where the space dog gets blown up.
You should watch “Indian Superman” it is horrible and amazing
Amazingly horrible?
Dariya Dil 1988
Horribly amazing?
**** The more you beg for subs the more I dislike. You are clickbate, that's why your views are not subs.
The Last Samurai: practical effects in the war scene
Yeeees, we need that
Tyler Rake: Extraction, the scene where they get chased by the police cars
YESSSSS
You can tell how talented and thorough Gavin is, just by monitoring Sam's approval. The dude is chill and somewhat stoic and usually not very quickly impressed with something.

"Last good movie you will ever see"
I will have you know SAM that Scoob! came out yesterday
I'm SO HAPPY to see Gavin on this show. That little British squelch makes my life compete.
Scene request from Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, where Soren is flying in the rain or in the fire. The feathers of the owls looks so amazing 😫
Absolutely loved that movie
You guys are awesome & your channel knowledge are next level no any one can discrived vfx, cg shots like . Welldone all of you.
Niko: The Slow Mo Guys
Sam, an intellectual: The guillotine channel
bro your pfp 😢
A real intellectual: Achievement Hunter
@Ba Doai The only thing I understand about this link is PAIN (by a crab)!
The Pirates of The Caribbean series has a lot of good CGI. I’d love to see a video focusing entirely on that
me moving directly from YDYD to this: how is gavin the same human
There's an AH compilations channel who is making a video comparing Gavin in Slow Mo Guys to Gavin in AH. Genius filmmaker to bird noises, he runs the full spectrum.
he plays full dunce for Achievement Hunter, and only about 20-30% dunce for Slow-mo shots, you see it when he fails to do simple things like stand up straight, or he fumbles stuff, but then he slips out of character when he really gets talking about how his camera's work and a few of the more sciencey stuff they've done (Like AH Gavin would never be able to talk about how old CRT screens refresh or how their pixles are, he'd just ask Ryan a stupid question and make him explain it)
What's YDYD?
Look at the cgi of the tv show “Marvels Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Multi Genre That’s my favorite show
Look at a few different clips, because it has some great and some bad CGI
Good choice! It has both great and bad ones lol
Me: "Oooh! Why we calling Gavin?"
*Sherlock Holmes appears on screen*
Me: "Nice."
Pirates of the Caribbean-
skeleton VFX, especially the underwater scene
Yes ! Davy Jones ship crew.
@@mansiege9234 they've already did it: th-cam.com/video/_4WrKeoeZhk/w-d-xo.html
They should check out Jason and the Argonauts with it's better skeleton warriors than Spykids 2
The most unbelievable thing about the driving in Parasite was the amount of time they appear to be driving without stopping. The traffic there is awful.
YAAAAY GAVIN (and Dan ofc!) FROM SLOWMO GUYS! I love them and their content so much!
I'd like to see your opinions on Tron: Legacy
They did
Yeah they looked at the effects on de-aged Jeff Bridges. I'd like them to look at the effects of the action pieces, like the light cycles and the final chase sequence to the portal.
@@Wokka88 hell yeah!
@@healingthoughts3166 yeah the story itself is very run-of-the-mill. Having said that, I still quite enjoyed it. Though I admit probably mostly because of the fantastic visuals.
Take a look at “valerian city of a thousand planets”
that movie was so weird and so good at the same time
Specifically the rihanna scene!
This movie is A VISUAL TREAT
It was beauty ruined with a giant turd on its forehead with that absolutely creepy mouth breathing cringe guy playing front and center. Why did they have to make him so fking creepy? Why couldn't they make just a likeable guy???
@@LastAphelion because it wasn't an original story, they couldn't just change the characters.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole the storm scene.
Yooooo that movie thoo is way more underrated than what people say about it. Soo i def agree
the movie has beautiful animation but highly predictable plot
They tried shoving a bunch of info from the books into a movie that felt rushed at some parts. On a technical standpoint, at least from memory, it was amazing
Still scarred from moon-blinking though
Not the greatest movie plot-wise, but hot damn is it fucking beautifully shot and choreographed.
I honestly love that movie Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows, but learning how much work and realism went into making that amazing scene makes it so much better in my opinion. Thank you Gavin.
Real Steel: final fight against Zeus. Or any fight.
Or Tron Legacy: light bike sequence
I really thought he was gonna say we just shot at Jude law lmao
haha yeah same. btw you wrote say as "day"
"yeah we accidentally shot him a few times but he's a trooper and just kept truckin on"
