Hahaha, brilliant comment😂
Soooo true. 😂😅

THAT REASON ALONE MAKES ME CHANGED TO WIRELESS GAMING HEADSET, FK THAT SYIT
No BS, just the rundown. Good shit man.
This is honestly the best review I have ever seen for headsets. I have scoured all over YT to find the right review. This man is putting in the time and effort for the best review in order to meticulously pinpoint the true pros and cons of these products. Thank you so much man, you are brilliant. Exactly what I needed after hours of searching.
i love u personally for the way you made this video and the fact that you actually have used them all, not just showing stock photos and yelling specs
I've been using RIG 500 Pro for about 2 years, gave my old set to my wife and ordered a new set of the same only Gen 2 version. Simple changes gen1 to gen 2 but very light weight and good clam pressure. But the sound. With partial open ear design, they offer some of the best audible ranges and clarity that I've personally heard with my ears for gaming headsets. Very worth the money and was able to get the gen 2's for like 60 on Amazon recently, which was cheaper than my previous pair. now, I also know hearing is very subjective. Each person needs to hear a headset and wear it for themselves. That said I'd say most people will probably find the RIG versions of gaming headsets pretty usable and very durable. My first pair still look new and even the ear cups are still in very good condition. The mic on the Gen 2 is detachable as well as the cord for connecting to the PC. Its not proprietary either, if you have any Male to Male 4 pole cable it will work. Mic also mutes when either removed or rotated up. I've not personally used the mic so can't qualify its clarity or noise cancel ability as I use a Tonor transducer style on a mic boom. The adjustability of the RIG was a little off putting at first glance however, they offer 3 adjustment points. You remove the ear piece entirely and place it into one of those 3 slots and with the comfort band not being part of the actual clamp bar, it sets very well without issue on the top of your head. RIG also offers pretty inexpensive replacement parts should you need them. I carried my first pair in a backpack nearly daily for the first year and as stated before, they are still in nearly new condition.
Edit: FOrgot to mention. They offer Dolby Atmos as well with them, as a free download app for windows if using on a PC. Really super rich 7.1 surround sound style audio for gaming or movies.
Idk, this sounds like an ad more than a review or even an opinion. The headset only has a few reviews and it looks very gamer-ish, not saying these don't but the quality looks subpar. Just my opinion of course.
You have a criminally low sub count for someone that makes some really quality videos.
Thank you for your content. This was genuinely informative.
I've been looking at the Cloud III, but decided to pick up the Cloud II instead as it was £40 cheaper. I'm not sure the upgrades are quite £40 at this stage!
The open h6pros are legit amazing definitely give them a try if you like open sound stages. There have been times in games where I forget im wearing my headset and turn around to make sure something isnt behind or beside me because the sound seems so natural.
how is it on cod? muffled?
@@boujeelouie9435i havent played cod but i have used other fps games and work well to help you hear where gunfire/explosions/footsteps are coming from

No curveball, no change up, nothing but fucking GAS, THATS HOW I WANT MY REVIEWS KEEP IT UP BROTHER
Yeah I'd say the PC38X are the headphones to get, amazing for gaming (especially FPS games) and just general use / music.
I'd highly recommend the SOULWIT Cooling Gel Ear Pads for $25 to replace the stock pads which aren't terrible but like most headphone pads tend to get hot over a bit of time.

Have been using the Logitech G Pro X for a while now. While the sound might be a bit on the low side, they feel very comfortable with good enough sound and a clear mic.
Best reviews on TH-cam hands down and such a chill guys aswell. You're my number one for audio peripherals and webcams.
Keep going, fam! ☃️🎄 Merry Christmas!
Ok, so I picked up the H6PRO today, based on your recommendation. I’m a wired guy, so I bought them to replace the nova 3’s. Wow. Just wow. They blow steelseries out of the water in every imaginable way possible. People are sleeping on these. Thank you for the suggestion. 👌
Glad to hear it!
What type do you use? Closed or open ones?
@@g33k51ndr0m3 I was using the closed back, the reviews I read suggested they were slightly better with directional abilities. That said, as much as I liked them, I ended up trading them in for the TB Stealth Pros.
How is the range?

you're a seriously underrated tech TH-camr! this review is exactly what i needed and I've finally pulled the plug and ordered both the PC38x and Audeze Maxwell (for different situations)
Thanks for the review, it was nice that you added those handy timestamps. I was wondering about the Audeze if the range and connectivity is any good?
Thanks for adding the mic comparisons. Very helpful video
I’ve been looking at top 5 headsets list for sometime now but this bud was the best one 🙌thanks 👍
For wireless headsets the Maxwell is definitely the best one I've tried so far. When I'm on pc though, I use the VZR Model one and it's definitely the best wired headset I've used so far, Especially paired with a Game DAC. I only use the Maxwell with my consoles and it's fantastic for that.
What Game DAC are you using? Can you link it?
U need to use arctis pro it's the wireless goat not this mid
Maxwell is better except footsteps@@Robzzx

Just discovered your channel and you're underrated man. I know nothing about audiophile stuff but you make it easy to follow and I'll deffo follow your reccomendations.
Thanks for making this video; it was really helpful!
Very well made video!! Thank you!
I found this channel for the first time earlier today and I was watching the best headsets vide from last year. The I go back to youtube homepage and find this years version only 40 minutes after it was posted.
Hey there! I really appreciate the mic demonstrations! They helped me choose whichever one I can decide between so thank you
I've had the PC38X since about a month after they released, and they've lasted this long. I've only added a hook and loop section to the head pad so i can remove it for cleaning, as i do with the ear pads. Actually the most durable headset i've ever had. I also don't have any creaking issues.
I have the earlier version that was the Sennheiser Game One before EPOS got involved. As I understand it there are some differences in the drivers but I have been using them for 8 years. If they are still built the same way, they feel flimsy but hold up.
@@rolandk2403 The response is the easiest to EQ to neutral on the PC38X and comes better out of the box. The stock, preinstalled sporty-textured earpads also dilute the muddiness of the velour earpads. The sound stage of the 38X compared to the 37X and One is noticeably better. I got the One for my daughter.
Good vid. I hope the maxwells have better build quality. I got a set of the Penrose when they released. Cheap plastics broken easy and had to be repaired multiple times. To fix the crinkling with the magnetic drivers I just cut air relief holes in the padding and that problem was solved at least. But overall for the price, I was not impressed due to plastics breaking. I ended up going back to my ATH MSR7s and a good desktop mic. But, in terms of just sound quality, the penrose are hard to beat.
sennheiser(epos) taking spots 2 and 3. made the switch to them from turtle beach probably close to 10 years ago. wont buy anything else now. the neutral sound and wide soundstage is really hard to beat for the price range of each lineup. the drop hd58x are great.
This is what the world needs. Great video quality. No bs. No sales. Subscribed
I went from Astro a50’s to the Maxwell and was blown away
Your technique for showing the mic's is the best I feel I have observed. Thanks.
Great review, seems you value the audiences time no fluff just straight review.
I half expected it to be a generic video with a bot voice, like the other top 5 gaming headset videos.
Love the way you explained every single detail about each and opinion is great
TY man
Loved the video, its helping make a choice on what to get but I was wondering, for the h6pro would you need the sound card in ordee to hear the direction of the footsteps or could you also kinda tell without it?
Great video!! Very informative!
Ive seen plenty of headphones from my time. Using a razer headset, to logitech pro x to hyperx cloud 3. Gonna be picking up hyperx cloud 3 for me and my wife. Thank you so much for so much detail for these reviews of the headphones!
Witch one would you recommend? I am about to get the cloud III but considering between it and the logitech pro x.
Ive had the corsair virtuoso rgb se for about 3 or 4 years now. Lately they have been giving some issues and i been thinking of getting some new ones. I was a big fan of the mic quality, any recommendations?
Awesome knowledge. Thanks for sharing!
I've been very happy with the Hyper-X headset. Until I needed a precise spatial sound. Then I bought the PC38x and... My God ! For me, it's the absolute perfection !!!
Great fucking reviews, thank you! I especially appreciate the microphone test, because there are times when I'm editing video that I just don't want to break out the nice microphone for 10 seconds of commentary
Man my first watching video from you i love how the way you explaind everything from the headphone and the editing video is damn 🔥 please continue this kind of video double thumbs up
Great video thank you!😃
Great review straight to the point, thank you.
I still have my cloud ii wireless which I love. My next headset would likely be the logitechs but my main issue for headsets is accommodation of my ears which stick out
As someone with a bad case of tinnitus I appreciate how comfortable and light the hyperx cloud 3’s are. I was about to pick up a pair at Best Buy today but the check out line was constipated and I had a dog waiting in the car
Dude did you get that right after getting jabbed or is it just me?
Wym bro?
@@Facecel_ like right after the vaccine
Just received my maxwell a few days ago and so far. They sound very good and very similar, if a little better, than my hyperx cloud orbit. My teammates say the mic is much better than my orbits. The ear cushions aren’t my favorite on the maxwells, they’re quite shallow and my ears touch the drivers. I will be upgrading with the wicked cushions replacement.😊
Hey man since youve had them for a while now whats your opinion should I buy them?
I would absolutely recommend!! They sound so good, they make gaming so immersive. I did upgrade to the gel cushion winched cushions and they’re deeper and my ears no longer brush the inside of the drivers. But they are legitimately incredible. I feel I have an advantage in competitive games when I’m wearing them
@@chancethornton6321could you throw me a link for the cushions? I'm between the Audeze and Blackshark V2 2023, since I've got some Razer equipment already. I think I might pull the trigger on the Audezes, unless I end up going for a desktop 🎙️
Are you able to hear the direction of footsteps with the epos h6pro or would you need the sound card in order to get 7.1 surround sound
thanks for the review mann
ive had the pc38x for some time now and id recommend them to anyone. i will say that sometimes the sound will leak out of the headphones and into the mic but there are ways to fix that with software. another note is that the clamping force was only uncomfortable for a couple weeks, if that. now they are the most comfortable headphones ive ever had.
I've had these and they're great but my voice is quiet for everybody else on PC through discord and they have me all the way turned up, did you have this issue?
@@jasonwelge6522 not really. i just make sure to have the input volume in discord all the way up and the volume in my gigabyte audio software all the way up. other than that im not sure what might be different
Use an apple usb c dongle to give them the boost they need.
Nice to see someoone recommending the Audeze in a gaming headset roundup, an actually good sounding headphone unlike the gamer brands.
This is how you review headsets! Thanks man!!
The PC38x was the last gaming headset made by sennheiser in conjunction with Epos. They split, Epos wanted the E-Sports money and tried to push sennheiser for a E-Sports tuned headset, they did and then walked away from Epos after people reviewed them. Epos went in the completely wrong direction.
Holy shit just STRAIGHT into it love it bro
Heres a question, how would they compare to 3rd party usb soundcard with 3mm jack and using decent quality headset such as sony wh-1000xm3?
I like that this video start straight away ❤
Just subscribed bec of that
HyperX Cloud Alpha S
Never want anything else. Great sound, comfort for all day use, and the mic...everyone on my TS and discord say i sound like im in the room with them.
Can you pause/play videos on the headset directly with the HyperX Cloud?
OMG!! THANK YOU FOR ADDING A MIC REVIEW.
I've had the Sennheiser Game One headset for many years. It's the same headset as the p38x for the most part. It has lasted forever, tossed in bags, crushed and smashed, no idea how it hasn't broken. I wish there was a wireless version.
With playing on Xbox, is the H6PRO still a good choice? Or does it really matter since connecting the headset to the 3.5mm jack on the controller?
I've been using these ear buds with mic built in from the dollar tree in my area that I got 6 years ago and they still work perfectly to this day. One dollar plus tax well spent. I just use it for communicating though. They're not meant to help you hear sounds in fps games like cod. Oh well.
I have the Maxwell. The audio quality, headset controls, build quality are amazing. The mic is great. The weight is it's downfall
Whats the best headset for PS5 for Warzone to hear those footsteps better and also to be able to change the EQ. Astro a40 with mixamp, H6 or steelseries arctis 7p or what would u suggest ?( price range 250-300) ??
Hello, I am looking for an option to work that has excellent audio for music and a microphone for meetings, any recommendations?
i have a big head, anything plastic near the earcups will eventually break/snap. i have gone through logitech, steel series, razer, astro, and even medusa’s. the cloud 3s are my favorite over 10 years of gaming, solid aluminum and I have no worries about these breaking
hi, how was your experience using cloud 3?
Hey, just want to say I really appreciate an actual review. The search results for headsets are littered with a bunch of cookie cutter scripts just going over either whoever sponsored their video or the top results on amazon. So I appreciate your legitimate review.
Yep, I've been seeing some super suspect AI voiceover videos at the top of search. Super generic videos from people that don't even have the headsets.
For real I couldn’t find a real person talking
@@gentianp7383 That fact that those AI voiceover videos with stolen B-roll are doing so well is a pretty hilarious exploit and shows how bad the TH-cam algorithm is.
I have the Audeze Maxwell, outstanding headphones.
epos h6pros have been great for me tbh no sound complaints
Hi, great qualitative video for choosing your gaming headset. I have a few questions, where do you place the Astro A40 tr in your comparison, is it still your favorite headset for fps. Could you test the MMX 300 Gen 2? And what is the difference between the Sennheiser HD 560s and the PC38X?
Honorable mentions below. Also I made a subreddit: www.reddit.com/r/StreamTechReviews
- Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. Sound quality and feature wise it should easily be over the Cloud III. However, the launch price of $330 is ridiculous considering the other options on the market. It's not the best at any category, so I can't justify telling someone to drop that much money on the Stealth Pro when the Pro X 2 and Maxwell exist.
- Astro A40. Another device that I personally would pick over the Cloud III. However, with the PC38X dropping in price, I found it to be redundant on this list. They have a similar EQ curve, but the PC38X has more detail and the bass has even more impact. Power handling at max volume is a bit suspect on the PC38X though if you use an amp. The A40 also can't touch the Cloud III in terms of comfort and microphone audio quality stock, but it gets close with the Mod Kit.
- SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro. This thing does well in terms of detail in the highs and upper mids, but that's it. The H6PRO is a straight up better choice for those who like that sound signature but without completely punting on the lower mids and bass. The H6PRO is still very light in the lows compared to the rest of the top 5, but it actually tries - unlike the Nova Pro.
Very nice and useful review, I got pc38 x and h6 pro , they are both good, also I got VZR model one , thus is hard to tell , you may have a look on this thing. My Penrose x is out of order , so I am considering Maxwell , thanks bro
@@tonyngai9203 wich have best mic the h6 pro or 38x
My Stealth Pro blows my Pro X 2 out of the water. SO if the money isn't the problem I say get it for sure.
looking for haptics since I haven't experienced them. Is there a reason you avoid them?
The epos h6pro is basically the best value to performance then because you can tune stuff in windows and obs anyway
I own the Drop pc38x i use on my ps5 and its been a game changer!!!!!
The mic on the Corsair HS80 USB headset is the best I've seen on a gaming headset. I have the EPOS H3 and its mic sounds better, more natural to me (recording sound on my computer for testing) than that of the H6Pro, though the H3's mic does have a fair bit of self-noise.
How did you get the software to.. find the headset?
Customer service can't even help me..
for competitive fps games, do u think the maxwell are better than h6 pro, and if they are better, do u think the price difference is worth?
Which headphones are the easiest to determine the exact position of the enemy in FPS like Pubg, Warzone, CS? I have a Sennh HD569 that I want to change to a closed back. They have a problem. I often simply don’t understand from which side the shot came. When I am sitting inside a house and an enemy is running towards me, I also often cannot help determine whether he is running to my left or to my right, I cannot determine whether he is running from above through the entrance on the roof or running from below from the main entrance. I just hear a sound approaching, but sometimes it’s not clear which direction it’s coming from. I was going to try the Beyerdynamic Mmx300 or Epos h6pro, but I saw a lot of reviews that they are also bad at determining from which direction enemy steps are heard. Besides the fact that the h6pro itself has a very terrible sound that looks like porridge and is not suitable for music, movies, or games, that it does everything terribly with its sound quality... Maybe it makes sense to take the classic HD600 /650 for games or is it still better to choose gaming models to determine steps?
I have astro a40 there decent do the job just have to mess around in the eq if u want more bass
I have been using the PC38X (the yellow color) for 2 years now. This is the longest time I have used a headset. I used previously the Cloud 2 and Cloud flight, both great headset and loud. But nothing compares the PC38X. The downside is that the volume control knob terrible. If you max it out, one earpiece will not work and you can accidentally adjust it without any effort. I would still recommend it, do not max out the volume knob.
Sounds like yours might be faulty, I've had two sets and neither did this
Went from Logitech g pro x (broke after a year) to a Beyerdynamic dt770 pro, massive improvement in sound quality. Got no mic, but those on headsets always sound bad (g pro x was ok). thhe dt770 pro are build like a tank (made in germany) and very comfortable on the head even after unhealthy amounts of playtime. And music is also a joy to listen to, just eq the highs a bit lower, turn up the low base and this thing purrs.
HyperX Clouds are so nice but they need a detachable cable, I've broken 2 pairs of Alphas and 1 pair of the originals by getting the cable caught on something.
Where do u rank the byerdynamic mmx300 and the new mmx 200?
Is Corsair HS 65 surround comparable to any of these?
How do you feel about the Pulse 3Ds?
The cloud 2 Got a buzzing noise, does the new ones have that
shame seeing the cloud 3 being stagnant regarding the cloud2. since hyperx switch the 7.1 for dts spacial audio it kinda screw the headset for me with software drivers issues and even hardware issue with some crackling sounds.
Heads up with the h6 pros, they deteriorate reslly quickly, my one starting crackling within 5 months of having them and the sound got worse and worae quality overtime because of that staticy crackling noise
Not sure if i missed it, but which is superior in purely footsteps audio/imaging? PC38x or H6pro?
How do the Astro A40 compare to this list?
I really agree at 1:19 , but for Cloud II (both wired and wireless) that I've used for about 4 years. So I guess Cloud III is the same.
Now I have the Audeze Maxwell. :) because coming from Cloud II and switching to Cloud III is not so much of an upgrade.
for Audeze Maxwell, you have to invest to a wicked cushion earpads to be able to be on par with Clouds comfort
Agreed I just bought the cloud 3 Friday returning them this week I can’t tell any difference from the 2 I just stick with my h6 pro nothing around 200 bucks comes close in my opinion

I searched for a new headset ( primary gaming ps5 then movies) but it seems that there are so many good choice i found myself doubting about what to buy,for example imagine in the game its raining in the forest,id like to hear all the drop, form the terrain to the leaf, the distance sounds, like a thunder, and the creak form a wooden passage;what headset would be for me?(i know its on the developers to make good audio design, but still)
you seem like you’d want a headset with neutral sound and a wide sound stage
Bro just got right into it
i wouldn't trade my Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless for any of those. Wireless with hot swappable batteries that charge inside the DAC. Can have connected to pc for game sound and chat through the DAC and connect to my phone thru BT at the same time. They can also be used as wired headphones.
The Audeze maxwell are really good, kinda surprised me. but on PC I use Hifiman Edition Xs (with schiit jotunheim + bifrost) and samson q9u, way better than gaming headphones for everything.
bro thats like 2 grand worth of audio equipment. obviously will sound better for everything
