I have the core box retail version. Got the insert and it's pretty cool, yes the original plastic insert in the box gives you a way to organize but again it holds alot of empty space without giving you the possibility to really make a fast setup of the game. Especially when you have all those tokens mixed together etc. Only downside that both inserts have is in case you paint the miniatures, storing them like that will not be the best idea.
Hey Val! I’m with you. It was the empty space I didn’t like about the game insert provided in the core. I don’t think the mini storage is great for painters. One thing that also makes this tough to build an insert for is the multiple expansions and content available for the game vs the size for the core box. It’s quite small for such a content heavy game! I was pleased it was able to cover the core game and more unlike the original insert. Cheers!
Is there room for the bags (folded) above the resources? It looks in the video as if there's a space there, beneath the manuals, but it's hard to be sure how deep it is.
@@RollingSolo Say at 12:34, it looks like there's a maybe 12×3×½cm gap just ‘north’ of the bright blue token, vertically over the resources and the pale blue tokens. At 14:45 the manual seems to just hang over it.
Ah, I see! There's not much space there. It looks odd on camera in that shot but everything sits flush beside each other with the smallest gap seperating each of the housing pieces. The manuals also take up all the empty space above when laying on and it all fits snug.

Hey Stephen! When you say 'above' do you mean on top of? Can you pin a timestamp and I'll take a look? :)

Should be good. I didn't see the wording IKEA anywhere!
🤣 Nope, safe there! Although I like some IKEA stuff, like Kallax shelves. 👍🏼
Looks really cool but sad about it being out of stock
Where are you located? That’s very strange. I feel like Canada there is stock still.
