I appreciate all the good vibes. Keep watching the vids and commenting. I promise I will do a better job of updating the build and answering questions.
Man it's beautiful , I used to be picky about stepsides , but not anymore ,I'll gladly buy one, hard to find in good shape depending on where you buy it from , man that truck would look great with a cowl hood on it , awesome build !!!!!
Great video man!!! I kniw this video has been out for awhile but i am wondering do you happen to remember the backspacing of the rear wheels on this?? Im doing a 86 and just trying to get a idea of how much i would have to cut for the wheels id like to get....thanks for any information....and again nice build man!!!
Depends if you want to flip the leafs to the inside of the frame or not. Leaving everything stock you can do a 12 inch wide wheel with a 7.5 backspace. It'll just tuck and just clear stock leafs with as big as a 14 inch wide tire. What he did here is awesome, it would fit without the narrowing of the diff but he wouldn't have the awesome big lip look on the wheel.
@@hotshothogger ok got a question if i go with a 22x12 with a 4" backspacing & -75 off-set would i have to cut my rear-end the truck have tubs in the rear im trying not to cut my rear-end

Good looking truck.
I have a Black 76 step side
Those hoods are so big they have a tendency to bend in front of the springs
I would rather have a step side
Stepside are harder to find them fleetsides and more expensive here in Texas
By the way the paint code is Inferno Red Pearlcoat 5469/5470

Definitely coming together. What brand drop? What are the tire sizes on the wheels? This definitely gives me motivation for my 82 2wd K5

How wide is the lip on the wheels in back
How did you manage to fit the rear wheels with only shortening the rear end 2-1/2 on each side? What else needed to be done?
