Looks great! I saw a TB70 fly recently and looked at the TB40 and Dominator 470 Wow are they different than they were 10 years ago but also so much the same.

Yeah, Align seems to have their favorite way to do things, like the single-point tail pitch slider of which I'm not a fan. I mean, it works... but it could be so much better. Then again, this thing was at least $200 cheaper overall than the others in its class...

Nice flight. The older I get the more I appreciate smooth 3D. I've been looking at the TB40. One of the things that put me off is if one had to replace all 4 side frames, $130+. This is still a great value so pulled the trigger. At least the rest of the parts are affordable and the canopies come clear coated, are you listening Sab ;)

I'm really enjoying mine! It's odd, some of the parts are very reasonably priced, others (like the side frames and swash guide) seem really pricey. Hopefully they won't be often-broken items. :) Pay close attention to the tail assembly. I had to spend a bit of time on mine to get it to move freely, and it's still not as good as I'd like. There's a slight vague wandering back and forth about 10mm when hovering, but it's not a big deal. I think it's mostly the tail servo, which is a 1520us servo instead of the typical 760us. It doesn't bother me enough to spend $75 on a good tail servo. ;)

@@JustPlaneChris I forget what fbl unit your using. But, Im still flying a 20 yr old align 600n with an old 2 piece fullsize vbar and an even older 1520 tr servo. No tail wag whatsoever. There are alot of different fbl tapes avail nowadays. I would experiment till you find one your happy with. Like you said, why spend $75+ on a better servo. I happened across a yt'er that said he uses a 100% silicone treadmill oil on his tr shafts and solved most problems. Others say you need 2 degrees at Nuetral on your tr blades which acts like precomp. This is verfied true.
