How much was your trailer all set up? Just curious what start up fees would be. Also have you educated yourself on how to identify sterling silver? I would imagine you might run across so old flatware and an entire set of sterling .925 silver can be $1000+ in silver scrap value to a local coin shop. Also I would pull out the drawers on old wood furniture to see if there is any money or jewelry that go stuck behind the drawers. These are my least favorite junk jobs, where it all looks like junk, and it would be easier for everyone if it all goes and you can start from scratch with whatever you're framing. HOWEVER instead of separating the things they'd like you to remove they tell you this that yes this no that this for sure no that.... Then there's usually a discrepancy about what got thrown away that shouldn't have.
Yes, absolutely. you have to be very careful. I usually confirm a few times with the customer that way I don't accidentally throw something away that I shouldn't have..

Not saying that is a prise winning model for money just using it as a example of how you literally throw away thousands of dollars and what you kept were cards that child be or could not be worth anything at all. I was friends with a old black man that used to haul trash and he would always say it of every 10 jobs I do I make a extra 5 grand out of the things I haul off. He has passed away but before he did hauling and doing resale out of 3 metal building that started out as 1 that was a 40x40 he ended up owning a trailer park , paid for his sons to go to truck driving school and bought a dump truck for 1 and a rig for the other and over 100 acres of land that his whole family ended up living on and all then were set and didn't need to really ever work but he instilled a great work ethic in them now they all own properties and land and one has 5 new dump trucks and the other has 3 new rigs and the original 1 his dad bought him. So I hope this helps inspire you to look at things a little differently not in how you charge for your jobs hauling but what may be repurposed to resale.
You need atleast 4 ft walls buddy come on that’s going to kill you in the long run put some boards on them sides
This trailer does have 4ft walls it's 7×14×4
How much was your trailer all set up? Just curious what start up fees would be. Also have you educated yourself on how to identify sterling silver? I would imagine you might run across so old flatware and an entire set of sterling .925 silver can be $1000+ in silver scrap value to a local coin shop. Also I would pull out the drawers on old wood furniture to see if there is any money or jewelry that go stuck behind the drawers. Your channel is cool like mine so I will subscribe and learn from your hard work. I wish u were here in IL since I deal with real estate and would have a ton of referrals for you.
My trailer was about $10k .. you can buy a truck for 10k or 100k that's all up to you 😂
And no I do not know how to identify sterling silver, I need to learn that. Thanks for the advice boss! 🫡
17:01 not sure if ya checked the golf clubs but some older ones are $$$$ , of if the putter is a scotty cameron makred sc or says it easy $$$$

To who cares about your chickens and your morning routine!
Lots of people do. Animals make people happy :)
those handles u took of the fan are usualy brass as well
No where the blades attach to are usually die cast but most scrapyards buy them as aluminum. I've scrapped a lot of ceiling fans and never found any brass ones.
Christopher do you strip the fans until u see the copper or aluminum?
@@JackofHaulTrades i take out the motor and the brass handles the rest goes to scrap
@@christopherjacobs2746 found a lot of brass ones here
Wear eye protection when you saw through metal lmao
Yessir I gotta get better about that. Thank you for the comment 🤝
@@JackofHaulTrades keep up the good work 🤝
@zekeg6410 will do! You as well boss 💪
Truck more.
Thanks for watching boss 🫡
These are my least favorite junk jobs, where it all looks like junk, and it would be easier for everyone if it all goes and you can start from scratch with whatever you're framing. HOWEVER instead of separating the things they'd like you to remove they tell you this that yes this no that this for sure no that.... Then there's usually a discrepancy about what got thrown away that shouldn't have.
Yes, absolutely. you have to be very careful. I usually confirm a few times with the customer that way I don't accidentally throw something away that I shouldn't have..
Save those cards. Send them to me of you want…
They worth anything?
@@JackofHaulTrades condition of everything. Also which player it is makes it worth money too.
Wow tax free ?? Good worker
My yard doesn't ask for a license for radiators

Yessir! Thanks for watching. I'll text you
or if you have a habitat for humanity take that stuff there they take all kinds of stuff i wish i could start a busines doing junk removal but im in a very tight pinch and my credit is bad
You don't need fancy equipment brother. I started small and built it up
Do you use any kind of online invoicing or CRM system for customer payments? Im looking for something better than Square.
I use Square. If you find something better without a subscription, let me know 😂🫡
@@JackofHaulTradesYardBook is great, that’s what I use. You can track all your clients build your own Catalog of services and prices. They use stripe for online payments straight to your business account. You can send invoices and estimates right through email. If you send estimate the client can approve it right away. Only drawback is app is crappy, I use online on iPad. I love it and it’s free.
@@JackofHaulTrades Im looking at signing up for contractorplus app. Looks promising.

Hey Brother, one question, Which technique worked best for you to get customers, door to door or social media? my junk removal and demolition company is licensed and insured, but I am having a hard time getting customers. Any advice?
Hey boss, Yard Sings and Facebook Advertising have done miracles for me! I'll leave a link below for you. I have a few videos on that! th-cam.com/video/x-nFeWyFPV8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=M-OArb5nvk9030Xi
@@JackofHaulTrades Thank you, I appreciate it. I will check them out.🫡
HAVE TWO DO WHAT UT DOING HAVE 2 BOBCATS 1 DUMP TRUCK,,,,,LOT CASH
Equipment is not needed for small jobs like this. They would tear up yards and cost you more money. I only use equipment when it's needed on huge demo jobs or tree work
Cut them D rings off the back. You’ll thank me later
I thought about it but I Haul equipment sometimes so I need them
@@JackofHaulTrades yea after I said that I watched more videos and thought you needed them lol. Keep it up man, I’m 5 years deep and still holding on in this trade
