You should incorporate a “wet fee “ in your pricing when it’s needed. We get paid by the contract most of the time and if I’m charging a fee for something, it should be of no concern to the customer if I do it in one hour alone or in 5 with an extra guy. Last week I had a customer start haggling the price afterwards because I charged her a thousand bucks to remove an 8x8 concrete slab and I pump d it out in 2 hours alone The thing is I matched my price to a competitor. She signed the contract so there wasn’t much she could do but it is what it is. Keep it going brother, you’re killin it.

Just wondering could you use your skid steer and your grappler for some of that stuff instead of carrying it by hand? You wouldn't have to charge by that hour you just charged by the amount of garbage Yes no maybe? Remember I was only 34 years old when I fell 35 feet out of a tree after 4 back surgeries and two 10 inch titanium rods 10 titanium screws and 2 plates. Anything that you can make the job easier do it😢 i know your young man but one slip and your world 🌎 can stop. I'm 62 years old and I take take so strong narcotics and get blocks 4 or 5 times a year and I still struggle with pain everyday ,just be careful! PS I climbed a tree that was 80 feet tall and I took the top out of it and the rope was used on the ground witch was never supposed to be used on the ground climbing rope only,I swung out on the rope at about 35 feet and I hit the ground hard didn't feel no pain i thought I got lucky i went to stand up and the next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room after surgery 🤔 i didn't check the rope all my fault 😢. Work smarter now harder. Don't mean to sound like a old broken old man but it is what it is. May God watch over you always and all of us.

These jobs were easy...they aren't really back breaking because junk is light for the most part

You should call the temp worker service. They provide workers comp and the taxes for the employee. You just pay the company an hourly wake. First 2 hours free if employee is not a good worker.

Your favorite subscriber from Ohio again I know I posted a lot on this little short movie you made😅 but you ever go out to a job and when you pull into the driveway you look at the house and then the price goes up? You don't have to answer that but if the answer was no then I'm going to call you out because pull into a driveway and I'm looking at the house and it's like a million dollar house yeah price Just went up😂 When I had that tree service we did that all the time but my partner I would price it and then he would set their talk to the owners and drop like a $100, I already had the job priced out and he was still dropping it like he didn't have the job like I could never figure that out God bless him he passed cancer about 6 years ago. Big Mike that was his name he went up in a 130 foot tree with his rope,
his safety saddle and his safety harness and cleats and he dropped his rope to come down and he would not come down free handed i don't blame him so we had to call the fire department and they bought the ladder truck over and he got down like that, the fire department
said how did that little guy get up there I said he's not so little he goes about 360 pounds and there wasn't much fat on this Mike either. The story's I could tell you Andre. When you end every video when you say peace out and you start to laugh and snicker at the very end of the video, did you know you do that every video?
You have no idea how happy I am to read every comment you leave on my videos. To answer that question would be hard ... it just depends on the house and complications / liability that would have to go into it to make it happen! But I can tell you this I definitely won't do it for free 😂 I've helped some very poor people out before for very cheap but I try not to do it too often because you can't survive working for free. You remind me of myself as a young man out there hustling every day I'm not a person that can work in a factory or work in an office retail. I always worked outside I love the outdoors and it's so good to be your own boss because owning your businesses you're out there to make a living for your family and you are doing that sometimes that bank account might only have a few hundred dollars the next day it might have $5000 you just never know in this type of business there's so many companies out there that can cut throat I mean you bid a $500 job, the next person come in and a lot of times the customer will tell that contractor what your bit was so he comes in and bid it at $490 and he's might have junk l truck, trailer you can just tell he doesn't take care of his equipment but some customers don't care about that they're are saving $10 so they're going to hire that guy And he might not have insurance or anything. They are some really low life people that will go behind your back. They don't take pride in their work or their equipment. I'm not saying all contractors are like that but there's a lot of them out there. When I had my tree service business Some of the equipment was old but it was well taken care of like The bucket truck stump grinder the brush grinder ect... You are an honest upstanding contractor because you take what you think you're going to need to bid on a job so you can get it and do it right there You don't have to go back and get your trailer or your stump grinder or your skid steer., You're organized and you're ready to work A lot of people like to see that.

Unfortunately if you won't do it other companies will. CHARGE EXTRA and don't take their work. All the junk companies should form a blacklist, either to charge these contractors a higher rate or not even rent to them. United we stand or divided you fall!

Hey boss! I charge differently for every job. I've studied my market for a while, so now when I see a job, I can estimate it in my head in just a few minutes. Call the big guys like 1800 got junk or college hunks, and see what they would charge and base your prices around theres! and with time, it will get easier to price jobs out
Can you burn in your neighborhood? You could have a fire every night with some of that stuff and save on dump fees

$550 was reasonable for that job in my area. It's hard to find good paying customers tbh ..
@@JackofHaulTrades I understand 550 would have been a good price in a normal situation. For me it being outside and wet would have made it about $650. Extra water weight makes dump fee unnecessarily higher and the distance you had to walk it all that would came with a premium. I still think they would have paid $650 all day.

Good grief that truck payment is a killer you should get rid of that money wasting of a pickup and by something older and use your monthly payments to fix the truck instead of paying to try to keep up with the jonses
I'm not trying to keep up with any jonses lol. I bought this truck for work because I needed something reliable. Yes, it's very expensive and I'm not happy with that payment, but I have to keep those wheels rolling to make a living. Believe it or not, that's what it costs to own a new base model diesel truck these days. It ran me 75k out the door with 125k mile warranty. I started my business with old trucks, but I got to the point where I needed something reliable and another write-off for tax purposes

@SimpleMan-hg3dx So I started it with a 2004 5.9 cummins around 200k miles. I bought the 7.3 diesel with 360k miles for a backup truck, but after my 5.9 went down it became my main truck 😂
