- After the celebrated 2018 Mozart album of Chopin-Award winner Seong-Jin Cho, the South Korean pianist returns to Europe with recitals in Autumn. Especially for this occasion and in addition to his latest album, he recorded the Rondo in A minor, K.511. With frequent oscillation between minor and major it is one of Mozart's most important individual pieces.

I've watched this clip about 5 or 6 times, and I always have the same thought: Seong-Jin is already one of our greatest Mozart pianists. His elegant, cultivated style simply enchants and elevates one's soul.
I agree Joe. I love his Chopin and Beethoven too. Now I want to hear him performing more chamber music, e.g Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert.
So beautifully described true essence of this great Pianist.
It must be a stereotype but I kinda feel like Korean pianists like him really shine when playing pieces that are elegant and somewhat polished. His notes are like pearls falling to the ground.
Solitude and sadness are inherent in his performance.
He's easily my favorite pianist. As a composer and pianist, I just love to listen to him interpret composers' music so well. His colors and tone are gorgeous!

Cho gives the Classical era music of Mozart a Romantic era inspired interpretation without losing the basic character of the composition. Sublime!

tough to say with this rondo as it basically is already a romantic piece covered in a classical hood. Mozart was really ahead of his time with this one and many other late pieces post K 400.

Though i'm kinda ignorant in all this classic music stuffs, cho's playing makes me feel like a medieval king that owns virtually everything. Such a privilege to listen to his playing effortlessly via youtube.

I love this Mozart’s Rondo for its special elegance. It just feels not like his usual whimsical expression that attracts Mozart lovers. And personally I believe Seongjin’s playing justifies the music.
