Found an Olypus OM1 with 50mm f/1.4, 35mm f/2.8, and 135mm f/2.8 in excellent condition for under $300. Make a nice addition to my collection.

Hi, thank you for your video. It was a great help. I’m having problems on the shutter speed inaccurate problem. Which the most accurate was on the 1seconds with results of 0.9s. Would you mind to point it out where could I check it up?

Hello, My OM1 has focus problem. What it is in focus on the viewfinder, is not in focus on the film. What do you think? I've tested with a ground glass and the problem seems to be in the viewfinder or mirror.

I probably can’t help you without seeing the camera, but I’ll tell you what I’ve seen in my past repairs. I’ve never seen a camera just go out of focus on its own. Usually it was the lens being out of focus, not the body, or it was my fault. Sometimes when working on a camera I reassemble it incorrectly, or I forget to put in a part or I put in a part upside down. Impact to the front of the camera can also cause focus problems.
I know this is probably not helpful. There can be so many things causing your problem. If it’s not too late, I would tell you to not touch any of the focus adjustments. This usually only makes things worse. If the camera is assembled correctly, it will be in focus with the factory settings. It’s always helpful to have a second junker camera to compare with or swap out parts.
      Regards
      Kori

Sir, thank you for your videos, they are very helpful. I disassembled an OM1 to see what was happening with the meter strings and the strings are disassembled out of the pulley Can you tell me where I can see a photo or a diagram that shows me how to put the strings on? on the pulleys and reassemble everything correctly? thanks for your help

I did some looking on TH-cam, but could not find any videos on the OM-1 meter strings. They are not easy to reset, even for me. And there is also the question of why yours were off the pulleys? Until you find out, it will just happen again. I can only suggest you buy a locked-up OM-1 on eBay for $20 and take it apart (slowly/carefully), while taking pictures of the meter strings layout. This will teach you how to fix your own camera. I would like to make tutorials, but I repair cameras full time and only use my spare time to make my vlog videos.

As for the meter strings and pulleys on the front of your camera, I am making a video on the OM-1n in which I explain how the strings and gears are laid out and timed. It's not really a tutorial, but it might help you reassemble your OM-1.
