Good demo especially in the wind. It shows people that they can do it too. Never buy an expensive tent, just buy tarps, mosquito netting, and/or zippers and get a-sewing, or just do what Lonnie does!
I really like the idea of the tarp set up! It's a brilliant idea! Add another one for a floor and it's game on. Looks mostly wind and weather proof. Great design for camping/ shelter on the cheap!
It reminds me of the tarp setups that we used when we went to the lake in the late 50's and early 60's. There were always three to five families of us who would always camp together. We all had motor boats, so water skiing and fishing were always on the itinerary. I was really good on the Slalom ski and I would do all kinds of tricks, like skiing with my foot holding the ski rope and skiing holding the rope in my teeth. None of my other three brothers ever did anything challenging. I loved crossing the boat wake and jumping out of the water without crashing on landing.
I had to share this one. 1 because this channel is awesome, and 2 this is just a great set up. It would be great for long overnight fishing sessions. U can sit under the middle with a beer, or take a nap and where u can run out quickly when ur line starts screaming
Been a while since I've commented... This is one I'll have to try. I've gotten away from using prefab tents, last one I bought was a 10 man tent for my family of 3 and a dog about the size of buck. Complete overkill. I only tarp camp now with the family, if I go camping solo, I just fashion a survival shelter from local material like I've seen in some of your other videos. I've truly learned much from you, and am a better outdoorsman thanks to you and mrs. Connie. As always, thank y'all for the video, keep them coming and God bless.
I'll hand it to you, it must have really enjoyable the record this tutorial. The end result was one of sheer ingenuity and demonstrated the great utility of this design. Your labor under those conditions, speaks for itself. Even an old coot, such as myself, might be able to pull this one off! Thanks for this fantastic demonstration.
Thank you Lonnie...I lived only tarp for more then 10 years in the summer..and I never think of that one ... One thing in bear CONTRY I like to see all arond ... So went no win or rain I will have a small pole to made more view around...the back
Lonnie & Connie U 2 are the best, I have been under the weather the last few months, I love everything U two dew, UR minds R always working, I have learned much from U and Connie. God Bless Jim from Mich.
Hello, nice Countryside! I like that view! Thank you for sharing this technik with us! With that knowledge, the building of ancient saxontents make sense. In that way, you could build a tent out of 3 sails...and it looks axactly like the tents on old pictures.
Great Video Lonnie, Connie did a good job filming as well with the windy weather making it difficult however it did not put you off delivering some really good tip yet again.. many thanks Ian
You know Lonnie I am glad that you don't work out of a little Inn in Vermont because I would be worried you might say this is my wife Connie and this is my other wife Connie. I know this will never happen because your other brother Darryl told me so. The information you provide may seem simple and basic but you have a great way of delivering good information that is not a joke and is really helpful.
Fantastic idea, so easy and less poles to carry. Once again you have educated us in the most delightful way. I’m sure we all Thank you and Connie for all the great videos and your time making them. Stay well, stay safe and God Bless. Ash 🏴

Good demo especially in the wind. It shows people that they can do it too.

Good lord that’s a lot of wind. I can’t imagine how many new words and phrases Connie learned! Very nice video my friend.
Very clever. I like it. Thanks for sharing. And thanks to the viewer who suggested this.
👍 thank you...even in the wind, it held strong.
Awesome tarp tent. It looks a lot like the «Saxon» tents used in medieval fairs. Very practical.
I always enjoy your videos. You have a great ability to communicate. Thanks for putting in the time & effort!
@@zulufoxx3829 Thanks!
I really like the idea of the tarp set up! It's a brilliant idea! Add another one for a floor and it's game on. Looks mostly wind and weather proof. Great design for camping/ shelter on the cheap!

Amazing thank you this is helpful where I live cause my tent is 100 degrees inside right now and this will help cool me down
your sound improved greatly. in such conditions getting a clear voice is quite hard. congratulations to you for improving in that area
Most excellent Lonnie !! This setup gives lots of room.
I wouldn't have thought of it.
What a wonderful north country you live in. I'm stuck in the lower 48. So hot can fry an egg on my truck hood. Hope to see more great vids.
Well, I'm impressed, Lonnie's beard is a great mic windscreen for 0$, cheers guys!
Nice one! I always carry two ponchos, now I want one more to do this setup. Thank you Sir, you are a beast!

Hi Lonnie and Connie. Thanks for another video, It's always good to hear from you.

Lonnie and Connie! Friends I have not met... The coolest attitude in the coldest latitude!
Hello,
nice Countryside! I like that view!
Thank you for sharing this technik with us!
With that knowledge, the building of ancient saxontents make sense. In that way, you could build a tent out of 3 sails...and it looks axactly like the tents on old pictures.
Thank you both for the great tent idea!
Cool breeze, fresh air, beautiful view behind you and behind the camera. Wow, Lonnie, you had it rough that day, my friend!
Buck is a star!
That is a great looking shelter, thanks for sharing!
I like that set up. Thank you for sharing.
very nice i love camping.
Great setup. Looks pretty roomy. God bless you Lonnie and Connie.
If you put your adjustable knot on the tarp end (as opposed to the stake end) you won't get as wet if you need to tension your tarp in the rain.
Great idea you all, very spacious and cozy. Thanks for sharing Lonnie and Connie. ATB Von
Thank you Lonnie and Connie, we have been using some of your tarp setups with the Scouts, thanks again guy's
I was blown away! Seriously great set up and a large amount of space once set up. Such a lovely Dog:)
I was "blown away" as well . . . almost. :O)
Hi Lonnie and team. Great idea and cheap too. Thanks for sharing and stay safe. ATB. Nigel
Great Video Lonnie, Connie did a good job filming as well with the windy weather making it difficult however it did not put you off delivering some really good tip yet again.. many thanks Ian

Never seen that before
I’m going to try it
Must have been difficult in the wind like that
Connie and Lonnie rocks

Nice roomy set up... thanks for sharing
Wow That sky!...and awesome tarp set up!
Hi Lonnie! Great idea! There's a lot of space there and I can see how a long fire in front of that would be quite comfortable.
Looks like it could accommodate a larger group of people. Maybe five or six. Thanks. Great video!☺
Well pal at work right now I will watch it later on tonight
Thanks for the link. It sure is spacious. Great configuration. I just may implement this on my next fishing excursion... 😎
Would 10x10 tarps work?
excellent DIY video on using 3 tarps to make this shelter and the view of the mountains in the background was amazing
Great looking shelter. Buck got a haircut! Appreciate the effort it took to film in such a wondrous location. 👍
Neat reduction on the ends of the poles for the grommets to sit on.
Beautiful scenery!!
I like your set up, I'm going to try it next time we go camping. Thanks for the information.
Always appreciate you both :)
Nice setup! Enjoy summer up there!
What people are missing is that the wind keeps the bugs down. Great video
Sure the wind is great for that but I prefer less wind and citronella.
What a view, that's a great step set up thx for sharing.
Very cool tarp setup
Solid video. Great video for the community
