Console gamers ask for way too much in games, they want ray tracing, 4k 120fps massive open world with multi-player, no loading screens with 100s of hours worth of content, all from a console which is basically a very very low end budget pc.
What some folks might not realize is that if we have a monopoly on "good exclusives" eventually these games they love will stagnate. Companies hate risks, innovation, and change can be major risks so if Sony or Microsoft should own all the good games they'll eventually just make the same thing every year. Why take a risk when there's no competition? Competition drives companies to try new things, lower prices, have deals, etc. It's healthy cause the consumer will benefit in the end. If any of the big 3 "wins" the console war and they have no competition, those fans will be happy about the victory for a while then in a few years, they'll regret it. Lack of innovation, lack of choices, higher prices, worse customer support, all that. You've got no choice anymore so why would they spend the money to make their customers extra happy? Some of these folks think these companies love us. They love our money, don't be fooled. To play devil's advocate a little. I don't think exclusives are the worst thing. I dunno, I'm not a dev. Just my 2 cents. Then the argument of an exclusive losing exclusivity. That's just being salty. You know what I'd wish the most. That exclusive stays a permanent history and that nbody touched upon ever again. The only thing that we might miss or at least I will miss, is the salty tears of the fanboys.
1:20 I'm sure the issue with needlessly huge file sizes stems from a myriad of things. One example is item shops in F2P games and even sometimes full priced games. Just like Capcom's fabled "On disc DLC," in Fortnite, if you are finally just now in 2024 getting into the game, there is gigabytes and years worth of content that you may never ever have access to because you haven't played since release. But it is really inefficient to have to download 99 other people's purchased skins every match.
No one goes to Burger King and asks for a McChicken & the calls them anti consumer because they don't carry McDonald's products. Literally games like Bayonetta wouldn't have been made if Nintendo didn't help the dev. This is a stupid argument.
Sony was trying to make Starfield exclusive, and Phil Spencer said enough is enough with Sony money hatting and they bought Zenimax. Sony has brought on this exclusive war. Microsoft and Phil Spencer have both stated that third party money hatting like Sony is not what they want to do. Sony raised the price of the games and the consoles and when the market leader does this everyone follows which stinks. Consoles and PC are different PC gaming will never run off exclusives and console wars and exclusives are ingrained in console gaming. This more of a PC vs console piece but it is something different but nothing shocking here,
I always say this. Imagine you want to buy a new 60 dollar game day one because you really want to play it. Would you rather pay 60 dollars or 560 dollars for the game ?
And the best part Sony/Microsoft sell there consoles at a loss So if you buy a console just for 1 or 2 games that’s a net loss for Sony/microsoft despite you spending way more
It’s either one of two things. Either he’s cares way too much about people being excluded from playing something, or he’s rather be a sweaty PC nerd too but thought he needed a PS5.
Small point Joe, Sony trying to get Starfield as an exclusive was one of the key reasons why Microsoft bought Zenimax, since that would have been the 3rd major Zenimax game to have skipped Xbox of that deal had been done.
Exclusive games are totally not anti-consumer cause i love my Zelda Breath of the Wild below 30fps, Starfield at 30fps in 70 dollar game for next gen on a "strongest console" and no possibility to turn off the ray-tracing at all in Spider-man 2
He's upset that he invested in Sony by buying playstations( instead of Sony shares or stock) and didn't receive any dividend and he takes it out on PC gamers as if they had anything to do with his decision( like, they influenced him to do that). And since he thinks of himself as an investor, shouldn't he be happier that Sony gets more revenue by releasing games on PC? More revenue= higher share price so he should be richer. Of course he never realises he's not an investor and that he shouldn't simp for a platform that he himself calls shit, but as we can see self awareness is in short supply in console peasant land.
Will never understand the idea of fanboyism regarding the console wars. So bizarre that these guys complain about one of their exclusives being released on another platform
Imagine advocating AGAINST games coming to more platforms so more people can play said games. Can you imagine how ponies would react if Gamepass came to Playstation?
These dudes confuse pro consumer with pro-business. The ones that think it's pro consumer are obvious fanboys. Thankfully Microsoft has realized that the more widely available their content is, the more potential money they could make.
@@Youraveragegamer_97 Even console manifacturers, the people you keep simping for, think you're an idiot for thinking like that. Also, how insecure do you have to be that you think excluding people makes you feel better? Spoiler: you're not special because you can play games others can't, you're an insecure manchild who should touch grass
I have done research before and now I am doing it again. Exclusivities are anti-consumer. Whether you're a console fanboy or a PC fanboy. You effectively kill the game's potential for high sales numbers. And I can totally see why companies keep screwing us No thanks to these posers console/PC fanboys Wherever You Are. Also, tell Fanboy over here to stay off the internet.
As a guy who owns an Xbox, the mentality of people saying "i invest this console so these games should stay on this console and no where else" is stupid. Like where do you think games like god of war, the last of us, and horizon started on and were developed on? Obviously the PC platform runs games better, but me as consumer is comfortable where i game on, shouldn't matter where the games go in the future.
He was so close to realizing that exclusives are just a tool to bind him to hardware he would not otherwise support, but tribalism was too strong. I was never once worried about a game I like being available for a different platform, more people can play it, what's the problem?
I love it when console fanboys complain about how they "invested" in their console. Like dude, you didn't invest in anything, you bought something. The difference is that the company benefits financially when you buy something from them, you just get to play the thing. If you invest in that thing, then you potentially benefit financially when somebody else buys something from that company. So the one that buys a PS5 get to play games on the PS5, but they also need to own games that work on it, and if they want to play online they need to pay even more. No matter how much one pays, there is no financial benefit. At most maybe one sells their collection, but given that more than any other generation, the PS5 consoles themselves are designed to fail and not repairable by the user, whether it is being able to play it in 10-20 years or being able to sell it, the value of the console will degrade over time. Whereas if one actually invested in Sony, then they would be happy that Sony is putting their games on PC. Even if one didn't actually invest as in buying stocks, the existence of a PC port of these games should be considered a good thing since it gives these games a longer shelf-life. In the 10-20 years that PS5's stop working, one will still have the option to play the game on a working PC, and since PC hardware constantly improves, in that time frame the user could run the game on cheaper hardware, get better performance, run at higher settings, the ability to use mods, portability on devices like the Steam Deck, or a combination of these things. And furthermore, more sales on PC would mean more money which could go to making more games. It literally makes no sense to get angry when a game goes multiplatform. When the guy says it is justified, he is wrong because the anger is completely irrational and hints at the people who are angry believing they "made an investment" that turned out to not be an investment at all. Spending more money for your shit does not make you an investor. Companies like Sony exist to make money for themselves and their actual investors, not some fanboy who thinks they are investor because they bought the latest console, some games, and paid for online.
I in general think all exclusives are bad, including PC exclusives. There's no real reason to be exclusive to any hardware save maybe early access but even then Xbox has the preview program which functions in the same way. Like can we just drop all this nonsense and let games hit every platform.
Whoever told gamers they "invest" in hardware is a marketing genius. "Investment" is something that can appreciate in value over time. Something that will potentially get you more money then you've spent. Buying a console is NOT an investment. They almost never appreciate in value.
Just to be silly if Microsoft didn't buy Bethesda Starfield would still have been exclusive for Playstation. After the purchase they killed that deal and made it Multiplat.
Jokes on you Joe! I love consoles and i watch the entire video! Just because i love my pc more. And about what you are saying about better feautures instead of exclusives on console you are 100% right. Since i bought a refurbished series X during black friday for just one feature that the series X has. I can play a huge number of 360 games i have on my series X, most of my 360 disks work on the X. So i only bought it for the backwards compat, does that qualify as buying it for a good console feature? Xbox has amazing features since the one generation like a legal jailbreak method and a massive backward compat even for disks. Ofc pc is still the best platform but i love that i can use my series X as a 2007 console with extra’s.
I disagree that these consoles are "shit", they're a decent cheaper alternative to PC. You can't get a PC that performs on the level of a Series S/X or PS5 for the same price and thats why it works. People need to ditch the "exclusives = value" nonsense.
@@Nekoksu Yeah no, you can't, you USED to be able to do that a few console generations ago. Not with these consoles and how much PC parts cost and thats implying that you're even capable of building a PC yourself, if you cant then its even more expensive to get a PC that performs the same as these consoles.

I agree that consoles are generally exploitive, but the Series S is actually a good VFM console. Maybe Sony should produce a similar, cheap console, like a Playstation "Light".

I used to buy all 3 consoles but now i just buy xbox and nintendo, i just perfer the simple layout and dont feel like building a pc or being ripped off by pre-built pc sellers idc if a game is exclusive or not i like xbox for the xbox games and the gamepass service i like nintendo for their ips and the portability and 9th gen games are alot more polished and fun in my experience i only liked 20 games across all 3 systems last gen most were nintendo or xbox only games or 3rd party i have no problem with pc getting the games if you want to spend more money for better performance go ahead i just want a main box to play games and stream movies and show quickly without going through a long bootup sequence or haven to hope my browser will load the site in a timely manner also I hate sitting at a desk much perfer a couch or adjustable bed
I respect your preference, but just want to tell you Alot of everything at the end of what you said is all a misconception, my pc is hooked up to my TV in my living room I play on my couch. Boot up with my ssd takes 7 seconds. Webpages load fast. Happy gaming.
i have Series X and couldn't really care for exclusives i got it so i could play games with my friends, plus the cheapest gaming pc in Australia $2000 if you're lucky
I do kind of like the xbox its got prity good feachers like quick resume, game pass backwards compatibility. Theres other stuff but yeah i would be honest i hate exclusives i wish they would just die. The fact the entire fee to get all games is £1300, then theres pc
i could understand someone being angry at sony because due to "x" game being exclusive for a time is now multiplatform, meaning that while you still have that "x" game you basically wasted hundreds of dollars when you could've easely bought a PC for the same price; that in the long run is cheaper than a console, and wait for the game to come out, what i think is pathetic is to cry about people from other platforms playing your "exclusives", thats the issue about all of this, fanboys getting angry at sony not because they're being scammed but cause they arent doing anticonsumer practices anymore hence """"betraying"""" their customers PS: 13:01 thats the thing too, Ponies act like we forced sony to give their exclusives, and the funny thing of all this is that while theres some truth in that argument, Sony didnt gave us the games we wanted, like Bloodborne, the classic God of War games, Silent Hill 1 (ik 2 is considered the best but im kinda sad they didnt bring a PC port) and so many more that are still hostages to their respective platforms 14:50 sadly he might be telling the truth, i remember that the PS5 was 1000 USD the fist months it came to my country, and it was from official retailers, could be either the goverment ripping him off with taxes and fees or an scalper lmfao (rn is sitting at 500)
iam so tired of these old nerds & losers talking bad about Japanese Sony & nintendo. mostly just older american/western people saying all this hate towards the 2 amazing Japanese companies who are trying the very best. man just want these older people ( pc gamers) would leave us console players alone already & this is coming from a 19 yr. old......Long Live the Japanese of Sony & nintendo & all of Japan
The cuttent XBox is still better than PS because they're at least trying to bring some gaming variety and accessibility, and seem to actually begin to care about backwards compatibility. Still never had a console and not buying one ever. Having a console felt like a cool idea back in the times of Sega Mega Drive, and even then PC had Doom, and Quake, and HoMM, and Worms and all that stuff. Now that the hardware in pretty much the same having a console is completely unjustifiable, unless you're adamant you want a relatively cheap and compact piece of hardware that you don't have to assemble. And even then a laptop is easily a better choice.

$620 if the game is online
And the best part Sony/Microsoft sell there consoles at a loss
So if you buy a console just for 1 or 2 games that’s a net loss for Sony/microsoft despite you spending way more
No way he just said games releasing on everyplatform in monopoly 😂😂
It’s either one of two things. Either he’s cares way too much about people being excluded from playing something, or he’s rather be a sweaty PC nerd too but thought he needed a PS5.
I mean damn , so many rapid fire joe videos we eatin good right now folks
Small point Joe, Sony trying to get Starfield as an exclusive was one of the key reasons why Microsoft bought Zenimax, since that would have been the 3rd major Zenimax game to have skipped Xbox of that deal had been done.
the dude is going throught buyer remorse, he is regretting his decision on buying on a platform that he thought was gonna be good... XD
These type of videos always make me think they just want to justify their reason for buying their console
Exclusive games are totally not anti-consumer cause i love my Zelda Breath of the Wild below 30fps, Starfield at 30fps in 70 dollar game for next gen on a "strongest console" and no possibility to turn off the ray-tracing at all in Spider-man 2
All I can think about listening to this is that crying Wojak meme with the blue Sony hat
Oh boy, I sure hope the games I love sell to the least amount of people and the company has no financial incentive to make more of them.
You're on the ball once again, Joe. I was hoping someone like you would cover this dude.
Who is this guy? What's the original link to his channel? 😂
Imagine advocating AGAINST games coming to more platforms so more people can play said games. Can you imagine how ponies would react if Gamepass came to Playstation?
I am STILLLL waiting for Bloodborne to come to PC.
The only reason I have a ps5 and xbox is potential exclusives. Exclusivity is dumb as hell
What game is Joe running with the Romans fighting? That looks pretty fun
Love it when Sony Ponies get destroyed by facts and logic
These dudes confuse pro consumer with pro-business. The ones that think it's pro consumer are obvious fanboys. Thankfully Microsoft has realized that the more widely available their content is, the more potential money they could make.
No they're not anti consumer. They are anti customer.
Just acting entitled, if you can't afford all systems you don't deserve to play every game
@@Youraveragegamer_97That's stupid. When one machine can run every game, it's just greed to say that you need to buy four machines.
@@Youraveragegamer_97 Even console manifacturers, the people you keep simping for, think you're an idiot for thinking like that.
Also, how insecure do you have to be that you think excluding people makes you feel better?
Spoiler: you're not special because you can play games others can't, you're an insecure manchild who should touch grass
i love idiotic casual gamers think exclusives are good.
Hes talking peripherals as the extra $200
When someone refers to a console as an "investment" and losing exclusives makes the console a waste of money are delusional.
As a pc gamer I’m glad when pc games go to other systems I can’t understand being mad about more people having access to games
Brotato is coming on game pass everybody!!! Get hyped!!!
Bro stole Scott the Woz’s intro
How is he gonna complain when Sony Ponies still have Bloodborne all to themselves?
You absolutely can get a better performing pc for a price of a ps5. Are you new to this thing called the internet?
@@Nekoksu Are you sure? It cost around $500-$700 for the Series S equivalent.
@@Nekoksu Yeah no, you can't, you USED to be able to do that a few console generations ago.
Not with these consoles and how much PC parts cost and thats implying that you're even capable of building a PC yourself, if you cant then its even more expensive to get a PC that performs the same as these consoles.
@@Nekoksu Maybe there is a country where you can buy a high-end PC for the price of a console. But not in Hungary. Only my VGA (MSI RTX 4070Ti) costs one and a half times more than a PS5. Sadge.
Consoles are not cheaper than PC
You can't make fun of Fanboys and refer to PC gamers as "we"
It's not The Borg from Star Trek lol
I-m not saying you are wrong, but maybe when he commented he spent 700 dollars on the PS5, he might have been talking about canadian dollars. But idk, maybe he's just dumb
the brainrot this dude has. He should've "invested" in a PC.
The amount of copium console fanboys have..
for $700 he could build a pc
I never get a chance to witness any ps3 games because i cant afford a ps3. Even when marvel spider man was released, i missed out that game and i was glad that sony is making pc ports later on. I just wish sony console games should release on the pc after releasing at console
Nobody plays games they just stream nonsense and give a rating to a game they never touch. Next Gen are special MS and Sony collecting without a problem...
I have a PS5 and a gaming PC (Ryzen 5 3600 and rx 6700xt). I couldn't care less where the games go and I prefer playing on PC these days. People are weird.
The only way I agree. If all them have to give it up. And not just XBOX.
Ayyy, Joe, you hear Brotato is going to game pass? Fuckin intrigued to try it.
cosnole fanman slowly decends into madness realising the futility of consoles without actualy good features
what 2d game is that? can anyone tell me please i want to play it
it is brotato and i found out after spending 15 minutes googling till i just google the hedgehog and it's stats
I believe it's Ryse: Son of Rome. This is months late, though, so you probably figured it out already.
@@WingedSloth its brotato
Let’s not act like anyone is forceing you do anything that’s getting old
I agree that consoles are generally exploitive, but the Series S is actually a good VFM console. Maybe Sony should produce a similar, cheap console, like a Playstation "Light".
the only good console war was super Nintendo vs Sega genesis , though it still was anti consumer, there's never been any generation that has never been anti consumer
Modern games are anti-consumer. They all suck.
Nah consoles are good people who think as company owners not consumers are the problem not the consoles
Happy gaming.
what is the second game
Ryse: son of rome
i have Series X and couldn't really care for exclusives i got it so i could play games with my friends, plus the cheapest gaming pc in Australia $2000 if you're lucky
I do kind of like the xbox its got prity good feachers like quick resume, game pass backwards compatibility. Theres other stuff but yeah i would be honest i hate exclusives i wish they would just die. The fact the entire fee to get all games is £1300, then theres pc
I mean it's a clip talking about consoles, ofc it's crying about suckage
Blud sounds like an edgy middle schooler who frequents Icon Era.
Seriously, go look up Icon Era if you want a good laugh.
i could understand someone being angry at sony because due to "x" game being exclusive for a time is now multiplatform, meaning that while you still have that "x" game you basically wasted hundreds of dollars when you could've easely bought a PC for the same price; that in the long run is cheaper than a console, and wait for the game to come out, what i think is pathetic is to cry about people from other platforms playing your "exclusives", thats the issue about all of this, fanboys getting angry at sony not because they're being scammed but cause they arent doing anticonsumer practices anymore hence """"betraying"""" their customers
PS: 13:01 thats the thing too, Ponies act like we forced sony to give their exclusives, and the funny thing of all this is that while theres some truth in that argument, Sony didnt gave us the games we wanted, like Bloodborne, the classic God of War games, Silent Hill 1 (ik 2 is considered the best but im kinda sad they didnt bring a PC port) and so many more that are still hostages to their respective platforms
14:50 sadly he might be telling the truth, i remember that the PS5 was 1000 USD the fist months it came to my country, and it was from official retailers, could be either the goverment ripping him off with taxes and fees or an scalper lmfao (rn is sitting at 500)
iam so tired of these old nerds & losers talking bad about Japanese Sony & nintendo. mostly just older american/western people saying all this hate towards the 2 amazing Japanese companies who are trying the very best. man just want these older people ( pc gamers) would leave us console players alone already & this is coming from a 19 yr. old......Long Live the Japanese of Sony & nintendo & all of Japan
Soyny isn't japanese anymore.
@@erieriderschillingcorner1595 Sony is Japanese don't know what you're talking about
Yet pc still doesn't have Bloodborne. Its sad tbh.
I have a switch because I like Nintendo games and a pc for everything else.
@@EnlightenAlchemist Understandable, and I don't flame people for buying a console at all, just that the fanboys with their made-up arguments are weird and wtf.
I'm serious man.. its not a big deal
$700!!!! BOI YOU ROBBED!!!
he probably bought his PS5 console from a Scalper
yup lol@@gamemaster2192
