Wow, 127’s hair is really pretty. Evette is one of my favorite dolls, so it’s nice to have a similar wig! I only wish it had some highlights in it.

1. I love that the Evette lookalike doll with darker vinyl forces certain people to stop and take a slight pause when talking about Evette's doll wig as if she is not a doll of Black heritage. People may now realize that by talking about textured curly hair as a negative issue, may begin to see that us Black girls just see these dolls as a representation of all of us who are...well Black girls and women of color.😮

Hey Kris, so glad that you did the review. I know this video is for adults,, but this comment is for anyone who loves to review dolls and therefore that is our community as adult doll collectors. Many people in the doll world are over the moon with TM 127 hands down. But with that being said,, ignorant people also love TM 127 for the negative wording they can add to a doll review in hopes that it will demean people of color who have textured hair as part of a culture with African American lineage. You mentioned this before when reviewing Evette, that your videos are NOT for that. 😊
I don't know if it would be possible to see TM 127 as a Valentines Day gift from AG to tons of Black girls and boys out there who have dark skin and textured hair. As a mother, I do see African American children talk about how certain kids who are not people of color say discouraging remarks about Black, textured hair being dry, frizzy and every now and then the word NAPPY does follow. This kind of ignorance plagues the doll community because children do see themselves in their dolls. When I see how Asian dolls are reviewed there is seldom talk of the shape of the eyes or even a mention of this in a negative way. I understand that hair is for play and that is a must, but a lot of Black children have hair that AG has worked hard to imitate so that thousands of Black kids can admire and be proud of. Please consider this in your next video because I do value your voice in the doll world and see you as a positive voice for so many who may feel overlooked or excluded for any reason.❤
128 is my absolute favorite! I recently picked her up and I am in LOVE! I love the green eyes, middle part black hair. I have named mine Katie Scarlett after Scarlett O’Hara 👒

I have green eyes, so this trend is perfect for me. Normally it’s the villains in children’s movies that have green eyes, and then one Disney princess, Rapunzel.

I have a question not a fan of long curly hair like on number 125 would be ok to cut her hair to shoulder length ? as is too long and does not look nice in my book xo
I like both 125 and 127. Having a hard time deciding. I already have Julie so not sure if 125 is too similar. As 127 i was worried i would mess up her hair.

Was your 127’s hair cut in a wedge with long pieces in the front? I just got mine and the pieces at the very front are like 2 inches longer than the rest, they just dangle and it’s not cute. I think my Evette was the same, and I ended up cutting them to make the wig look more even.

Ok so no joke, I saw 125 and literally said that’s me. Isabelle (GOTY 2014) is closer to me, but this doll is exactly like me. I would love to know if I get her someday, would you recommend a pick or wired brush for her? Need to know.

For the first time I love the Truly me dolls I love 128 and 125 number 128 would be my fashion deigns play doll ,and number 125 I would dress her as Clara from the nutcracker .This may shock but I only ever want 12 dolls that I keep in a box's that I never how you say play with lol only 4 of them will ever been American Girl dolls in boxes and one American doll 128 that I will use as a model to design my collections you could say she will be my play doll she will join my Generation doll that I use for that purpose in hence saying this love your videos so cute Hugs from Melbourne xo Double PS I looked on their website and these dolls are not showing on their online shop

Sounds like that should be your own personal opinion lol. Compare them and decide if they are too similar to you.

I love the blonde doll’s hair, so so long. Also, the doll with the black hair & green eyes is pretty. It would have been nice if her wig was really long, straight, & black.
Love watching your videos all three dolls are very pretty, their outfits remind me of barbie charm school for some reason. I think 127 name could be maya or fae, and 125 with blonde hair could be Orianna, Pamela.

I like the blonde the best; I think she's a beauty. However, as a black person, I think the original inclusion of Evette with a lighter skin tone was important for AG to do because not all black, brown, or mixed-race people have the same skin tone. It's funny how so many adult collectors focus on diversity in terms of skin tones, but they seem to object to lighter skin tones for dolls that represent black, brown, or mixed-race characters. I actually hope AG eventually makes more dolls like the original Evette.🤔
