If all the hybrid engines had a slight roar like this from the start, I think a lot less people would be complaining about them sounding like vacuum cleaners. I mean just listen to the treble when he gets on the power coming out of the corners, almost resembles something straight out of the 80s!
Its Mostly microphone placement and distortion. They could just add some more distortion to get a similair sound
