Thanks for posting this. I just tried to download DVD Flick today but for some reason when I clicked on the link it downloaded a different program to burn the files to DVD (can't remember the name). It worked well and actually did everything all in one place without needing IMG Burn to actually burn the discs but unfortunately it would leave a watermark in the center of the frame unless you registered the software for $40. I was wanting to do this for free so I will try to download the DVD Flick again. Hopefully it will work this time!

I'm burning a 50 minute long video in DVD. I already took 3 and half hour. How long will it take? Does it take forever? Everything's done perfectly. But it is burning from 3 hours.
DVD flick has not been updated since 2009. When i burn a video to a DVD, it does play through my old DVD player, but the aspect ratio of the pictures is all compressed in the X. I tried with both settings - 4:3 and 16:9 but either wait it looks wrong.
I set the menu but when I play the dvd, no menu comes up. it just starts playing the videos. What setting am I missing? Does it have to to with the Auto Play menu clickbox?

I have a LOT of anime that I'd like to burn to DVD because my TV doesn't recognize some native sub files and I'd like the ability to have both Japanese with English Subs AND the dual audio file of Dub English without the Subs. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Im not sure, I assume you will have to extract the subtitles from the file and put them in, since it says "0 Subtitle(s)" I have a similar issue and don't really want to waste a DVD trying it, so I am just going to extract them and add them to here to be safe
Thanks mate great easy step by step video i burned 2 discs the one disc was played on my freinds dvd player and worked and the other dvd which was a compilation of videos from youtube when he played it on his pc desktop it whould not play it was 47 seconds over the disc time i had 120 mins on the disc the other disc was within the time scale can this cause playback problems Another question is can you play your burned discs on any dvd player and any desktop because i heard this can be a problem please get back to me cheers

why yes the result of burning his DVD while in the play always choked up, what ya its cause? I use the brand DVD r MAXCEL and its bending softwar using DVD flick
been having issues with an under 40 second 24fps avi file, trying to get it to run on my player without lagging, but no matter what settings i have triedthe playback keeps "lagging" playing the video slowly and cutting out the audio during fast moving parts of the video. havent been able to find a working solution anywhere. any ideas?

Can you also use this to copy the whole DVD the menu that features the select Parts button? Or do you have to make that on your own Or does it depend on in how much the blank DVD can hold?
DVD Flick is an independent program. Once you download it you don't need anything else. You can use other programs as well if you want, but all prerequisites are built into the program. Thanks for the comment.
Yeah DVD flick was the best of them all, worked until an error suddently apeared. error 48 or something. now it doesn't even work after reinstalling it. and facing similar occurences on every other dvd software, first in 2 or 3 dvd's have been burned the software no longer works, thats happens with every software and at this point Im out of software to try lol

Thank you for your tutorial. At the 5:33 mark, I actually set the Target Bitrate as you recommended which was at 3 Mbit/s for I'm still getting that delay where video and audio is out of sync. I'm wasting and burning DVDs trying different settings and that's the only part I haven't mastered yet. What do you think it can be? This is so frustrating. Anything you can do to help would be great. Thanks again.
On the final screen, put the '"Process Priority" to its' highest which I believe is "Above Normal". The longest part of the process is the encoding, not the actual burning.
Your video is a bit fraudulent. You got to the point of burning the DVD, but the project destination folder was the MyDocuments\dvd folder on your hard drive, so this "DVD" that you were supposedly burning was going to the hard drive, not the DVD in your burner. I've tried to change that destination to my DVD drive and it won't let me. It just keeps defaulting back to the hard drive. Is this because it's the free version and you have to pay to get it to burn directly to a DVD?
The average "man in the street" doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of following that. I followed a much simpler tutorial twice and neither time burned. Not everyone is a computer geek.
omg it's so easy. Try using Adobe products like Premiere Pro and linking in After Effects for video and Encore for Audio with all their quirks, then exporting through Media Encoder. There's millions of options, you'd die. That's computer geek stuff. This is nerf ball. Just use the ->pause button between steps. You're not going to find a program easier than this.

You can set the Process Priority to the Highest when you get to encoding and burning process towards the end.
Use different software that utilizes GPU acceleration.

When I test the menu, the movie doesn't play. How do I fix this? Will the movie still play on the dvd?
What if you're trying to burn in into mulitple dvds, do you have to encode it every single time for each dvd?

I tried and it took 20 hrs. ecoding and then an error occoured burning to disk. totatlly sucks. is there a better one out there?

I have tried this copying AVATAR film that i rent. They copy all the file without loss the quality. I mean, it was look like 1:1 with the original.

You have to use one of there recommended free CD burner softwares and it work just fine

On the bottom it says the destination is Drive C:, but isnt drive C part of your computer? Should'nt it be Drive F:?
That is just where DVD Flick puts the encoded files, that's all.

Is this the only program you used or did you have to download ImgBurn as well? I cannot find ImgBurn. Thanks
Once I click to "Create DVD" I noticed Imgburn got installed automatically. Try that to see what happens.

It sure does....just an fyi, you can put the mp4 files on a usb drive and play it on the X Box One :)

You just untick the create an iso option and it goes to the cd drive

I don't believe DVD Flick has this capability. A good & easy to use program is VSDC Free Video Editor to trim videos and save them in HD quality.

You might want to look at _Lightworks_ on Wikipedia. Also, someone has forked the original DVD Flick. So there is now a _DVD Flick v2_ on SourceForge.

You probably already have your answer, but once you create your files you can use Imgburn to burn the folder DVD Flick created to a disc
