  • @angelosupreme1
    @angelosupreme1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Floyd may have had brittle hands, but more so, he understood Long Shots cause long rebounds. You shoot a basket from half court, if you miss, the ball is going to bounce back to half court. Mayweather understood big punches and punching from all angles causea you to be open and in a bad position. Floyd never got out of position. Pac got knocked out the times he did, because he opened up to much, loading up for big shots. Marquez was a million times slower than Pac, but he caught Pacs rhythm and waited for a big shot and caught him. So Mayweather probably did still have a lot of power, but why risk it

    • @DrMathOfficial
      @DrMathOfficial 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's simple, because you didn't have a chance to prepare for it/ a chance to brace yourself for it/ a chance to tense your body up for it/ a chance to do whatever else you or someone would want to do to try to withstand the blow...............all of that is apsent when you get hit with a strike that you don't see/ don't expect to hit you.

    • @SaintKines
      @SaintKines 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Like everyone else already but I'll just expound that whiplash\shock or your jaw or head being completely rocked is what's dangerous. Your brain rattling inside your skull for example, this is what's dangerous. When you don't see it coming and roll with the punch or absorb some of the impact by preparing your mind and tensing up your muscles it can easily be lights out.
      That's why there are different kinds of KOs and intensity levels for KOs. A flash KO is getting surprised by a quick sharp Floyd type punch and having the off switch just switched for a second but you come right back. Like when Floyd caught Marquez with that nice counter in round 2 or whatever it was.
      Then there is every variety all the way up to when Marquez put Manny to sleep instantly and he stayed asleep for awhile.

    i call it Chinese water torture.... its not going to be one to knock you out, but the culmination of hits do damage. You wonder why you see 100 punch per round fighter only have 10 and 12 punches per round when fighting Floyd. You get tired of getting hit or not knowing where the punch is coming from.

  • @firellparker7463

    Fighters needed to be patient with floyd, vary the timing. Vary the patterns you want to offset his timing offset his thinking. he can know verything. But he cant know everything all the time. Or the occasional Awkward Pressure using funny angles or timing id do the latter but change the timing. Aaron Pryor, Pernell Whittaker,Tommy Hearns, Duran, Hagler would've been bad stylistic matchups for Floyd.

Lol it would say a lot about you as a fighter. Like he said tho, Floyd makes even the best aggressive fighters stall & think twice. What he does is completely take away what they do best. It's pretty much a wrap once you can't do what you're comfortable doing in a fight while the opponent is diverse in their attack. That's greatness. I don't care about his personal life, that's his own business. When it comes to boxing I've never seen anybody as dedicated, slick, crafty, intelligent, or that successful in the ring.
