      I'll correct myself, just one knockdown vs hernandez. He also was legally knocked down by Zab Judah but the ref missed it. I thought Corley knocked him down also but I was wrong not 2 knockdowns, just the one. I'm not trying to diss Floyd, he's an all time great and probably the best defensive fighter of all time. I was just pointing out that he was knocked down b4.

      @Kelso lowk Maidana was robbed in the first fight even though a lot of his shots weren't landing clean they were wild shots coming from awkward angles and I never seen floyd put himself in a position where he let his opponent take control. As you can now see, and as Mayweather fans have been trying to tell people all along, Money Mayweather was a marketing ploy that A) assured him long-term success 2) made his opponents think he was being childish instead of working hard, 3) Enticed fighters who despised him to come after him harder, which fit his style better.

    • @dadadannn
      @dadadannn 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Bill Payer it made floyd the villain and even being hated so much worked to his advantage. Fighters like mosley would go to the press conferences with a huge crowd cheering for them, ultimately boosting their pre fight ego which carries over to the ring as floyd said "the fans cant fight for you"

    • @Ariez___
      @Ariez___ 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      People are just so blind their hate for mayweather made him extremely wealthy and they are going to do it again with May pac 2 this dude is a boxing genius the only way to beat him is to get someone in the ring with a similar inring iq not happening

    • @James_Edward59
      @James_Edward59 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Peace Maker people literally do not understand that everything Floyd does is a tactic, he is the epitome of a boxing genius in and out of the ring. I truly believe most his fights that he can finish the fights a lot earlier and KO more people in the 2nd half of his career but I also truly believe that he didn’t purposely because he was in such great shape that he enjoyed going to full 12 rounds and outboxing everyone. You gotta ask yourself why hardly anyone asks for a rematch with Mayweather? Because he made them work their ass off for months and months in camp and then go the full 12 rounds and get outboxed most the bout and look childish, who the heck would want a rematch with that? Also, I can’t stand when people are like oh this person or this person is giving Mayweather a tough round and beating Mayweather this round, no the truth is that Mayweather takes rounds off when he wants because it’s all a strategy even the way he clinches with everyone is just a strategy to tire them out faster even though it’s doing nothing to him, he lets people throw a hundred punches at him while he’s up against the ropes because it isn’t doing anything to Floyd and it’s only tiring out the other boxer. Very rarely have I ever actually seen Floyd try really hard in a bout.

      Floyd had to adjust to Judah's style and speed. If you go back and look at rounds 1-4 you see Floyd's body work , which is underrated was hurting Zab. That's what changed the fight and opened Mayweather's offence from round 4-12. Rounds 1-4 Zab was showing his game plan. Floyd took the data and made adjustments. Especially his foot dominance over Judah's. Besides Yoel was giving him some crazy ass advice between rounds. "Hit him boom! boom! boom!"😂

      @koolguyinplano 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Every boxer does get hit. That's why Floyd will not fight and should not GGG at this stage of his career. Judah hardly made him miss like crazy. Mayweather was thinking too much because, he and Zab know each other so well. Zab on the other hand was not thinking because, of the same reason. Once Mayweather got Zabs tendencies during the first 4 rounds and dug into Zabs body
      It was cruise control to picking Zab apart. Plus Zab is not a WW he is a true Jr.WW. Got to give him (Zab) credit for taking on great fighters in WW.

    When Floyd was caught with that big right hand of Mosley and how Floyd reacts in a split-second to protect himself from kissing the canvass, that is the point when I admire him the most and I like him the most. You don’t have to be a Mayweather fan but if you are not a fan of his boxing skills, I question whether or not you are a boxing fan. Mayweather’s boxing skills are other worldly. Simply, he is a talented black man who changed the sport from how one trains, self promotion and boxing purses. IMHO, Boxing is better because of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    What’s incredible about that round is how composed he remained even when his body was involuntarily buckling below him to try to regain balance
    Grabbed him… composed himself… hands up.. marched forward.
    Got hit again shortly after with that second huge shot… legs buckled.. walked forward..
    Legs buckled AS he walked forward… ignored it as though it didn’t happen and kept walking forward. 😂
    His ring IQ and composure is just absolutely incredible.
    Seems counter intuitive for a defensive fighter like him but in a vulnerable situation like that a good offense case is the best defense.. although risky, he understood that acting as though it didn’t phase him at all and trusting his abilities and landing a couple shots would help nullify any momentum he had… and he did just that.
    This man was truly on another level.
