i have read that the adapter has "rev hang", in off throttle situations there is a slight delay. Do you experience that? Would you recommend tapping the manifold or the adapter. I am taking off the manifold for the ribbon delete, either way works. I just want the best.
I have not had it out on the water yet. Last week I did hook up the water and fire it up for the first time this year. I took a video of me revving it up a few times. Give me like an hour or so and I’ll upload it. If you’re taking the Manifold off, I would go with the adapter. It makes it easier and looks better than tapping it. And if you take out the BOV, you don’t have to worry about the cut tube, you can just take the adapter off and it’s back to stock. It’s a PAIN IN THE BUTT to install it without removing anything else. It’s tight and nothing fits in the area. I was using channel locks at first but it biting into the brass. I finally was able to get a wrench on it just right to take it out. I wanted to do the ribbon delete, but it’s also the spark arrestor. And the BOV pushes the air directly towards the fuel tank. For the gains you get with a ribbon delete, I didn’t want to mess with it. Mine is just a cruising ski, not using it for racing or stuff like that. I try to get the video up in the next hour or so.
2019 FX Cruiser has a bracket right above making it harder to get to sensor. But what is easier is using a box end 11/16 and slide the sensor wire through then but the angled down box end on the sensor. Gives you about 1/2” of turn which is all you need to break it loose and finger it out. FYI. Hope others see it. Thanks for posting your video.
