- I am comparing the brand new iPhone 11 vs the iPhone 8 Plus, does the iPhone 8 Plus hold it up against the iPhone 11?

To really compare both, u had to upgrade the 8+ to ios13
I did after the fact and it was about the same, no big difference honestly.

Highlights why benchmarks are kinda of pointless on iOS hardware as with actual usage they before about the same. A testament to Apples chips and software.
I wanted the Max Pro but can't use Apple OLED due to the PWM. I'm on a 7 plus and prefer 1080p sharpness over the 11 828p. So considering an 8 plus.
I agree. AnTuTu or even Geekbench are just pumping up some synthetic tests, and maybe between Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs it could make some sense to weigh in.
Apple SoCs are pretty much optimized for their own iOS, hence this experience...
Honestly I am not able to pick up big differences between 8 Plus and 11`s screen besides the deep blacks, they are indeed using some great LCD/IPS screens here.
For OLED PWM - we have DC Dimming (still experimental in OxygenOS) but it helps reduce the headache.

Well, that`s a though choice... given the fact that they cost about the same.
Let`s see the PROS for the 8 plus
Screen is FULL HD > better than HD of the iPhone 11. I had them one to one as you can see in the video, myself, I hardly notice the difference in a daily use, BUT the display of 8 Plus is better.
Also 11 has a notch :(
Storage: Clear winner here - 8 Plus 256 > 64
Camera: Winner here is 11
So if picture taking and video and camera matters to you, go with 11.
If everything else matters more - go with 8 Plus.
Honestly I would chose the 11, because 8 Plus is such an old model now ... ;(

I have a new iPhone 8+ paid off and with 128GB with no scratches or scuffs. Not worth an upgrade when they basically do the same thing and my phone is still in great condition.
