Great vid. Drilling the holes was a pain for me. One side the clips matched the holes but the screws went in at a slight angle and the bit made the hole a bit too big in the plastic of the fender. I just used black silicon sealant for the bare metal and to fill the plastic around the screw head. The other side, my holes were too far away so the clip holes didnt line up when I slid them on. I just used the clips like you did for the plastic peice. I set the clip over the hole on top like a nut and held it in place with needle nose pliers then got the screw in. It worked great. Taking the tires off the rear would have made the rears easier, plus my angle driver was freaking massive and couldnt get in the spaces. I used a small ratchet driver with the T bit.
I like your video. Since you work for a dealer, you may know if the top of the flares will scratch, or dig into the paint. Thank-you in advance for your help and expertise.
Looked like you did not use the 3M Activator except for the little bit on plastic piece. There is a huge difference in the holding strength of the tape when the activator is applied.
Can you put these fender flares on with aftermarket mud flaps I got some WeatherTech type mud flaps on my truck and I still want to keep them there so is there a way you can still Mount these fender flares with them, have you done that already?
Hey Donny I have a 2020 colorado z71 4x4 and I plan on putting a bison grill and fender flares just like your truck already bought my grill but we're did you buy your fender flares
I was wondering do you ever bang your shins on the assist steps? I'm 6ft and don't think id ever actually use them but I do like the looks of them and thinking about installing some on my 19 Colorado.
Hey, this is really helpful, but did you not re install the rear little flaps you removed? is that why they want you to use the longer screws? to compensate for the plastic double up if you put the flaps back on?
I have a 2020 Colorado, but cannot find these flares anywhere. On Amazon, they say they are unavailable. Couple other sites say up to 2019, but not 2020.
Yeah those flares they look good but prepare to keep them on forever because once you take them off there will be paint damage as my friend found out

I'd like to see a front bumper upgrade. Great videos on the Colorado 👍

Good vid, it worked no issues 2021 colorado z71
Where did you find flares to fit the ‘21 Z71??
The part number has changed for at least the 2022 - wokring at the dealership any indiciation if that is still the same process?
Just get a handful of washers and you can use whatever bolts you want.
Looks way better without it the trim. Looks like a Subaru now
Yup, I'm liking this info too. Thanks, man.
Is this basically how the 2021 Silverado fender flares go on? I got some from my dealer and I have no instructions.

Awesome video! Thanks. Thinking about ordering these as well. Do you know if these would work with GatorBak mudflaps?
Thanks, sorry I have no idea
Coming together nice! 👍
Great looking truck!! How much were the flares with your discount? Thinking of asking a fruto get them for me
Do you think the 33" trim kit would work with these?
Have you had any issues with the fender flares?

Will these fit a 2021 Colorado Z71? I can't find these they are either out of stock or listed as discontinued.
Awesome video! I want to get these for my truck but it bothers me that they’re not really black. It’s more of a grey.
Paint em black you can paint them any color you like
Do the flares go over the plastic mud flaps in back and front of ?
Thanks for the video! Looking to do this on my 2021 Colorado. Appreciate this.

How did the steps work out? I'm 6'3" and I have the same concern. I'm thinking of buying a Colorado today.
Looks very nice but why don’t paint the new holes?
He said he did not have paint on hand. I would have painted it as this will rust for sure.

I'm pretty sure I had nothing left over when I was done.
@@Donnythelatemodeltech Oh ok perfect! Thanks so much for speedy response!
Thank you for this video..
Does the tape make it difficult to get the bumper off?
Great videos!

Thanks for the content!!
What is the oem part # on the fares ? And would they fit on a 2021 colorado z71 crew cab short box ?
Great question. I have exact same model. Can’t find em. Anyone?
@@oneweak8938 am finding it hard to find aftermarket parts for my 2021 colorado z71
Go to the my Chevy app under accessories and look up by your vin. I got the 21 crew cab and my part number is 86777977
Do you happen to know the part numbers for a 2021? Same to Model
looks great, nice process
Did they come that color or did you have to paint them? Thanks!
Straight out the box
Great video.
Any one know how to touch the adhesive on the flares ? My flare on the rear driver side is slightly pulling away.
They don’t have them anymore on Amazon nor the GM website
Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can update some of the links.
Can you do mine
Yeah 👍
You are making me want to spend money 😩
Go for it!
Thanks for the video, because the instructions that came with the flares…..HORRIBLE! They look like a copy of a copy of a copy! So yeah, thanks.
Ruined the truck.
false.
