Drifty, our fans are the only ones who reward failures. What is wrong with us? Nunez and Diaz are the reason the whole team struggled last season. Because of those two, we lost the league. Because of them, Klopp missed out on a league medal last season. Because of them, fans are arguing with people like Drifty. Agree with drift in terms of improving the squad. Keeping a lot of players will prevent injuries from decimating the squad. I think we have to take the L and realize Nunez is a squad player and used that to our advantage. Especially with the increase in games next season drifts point is valid.

I think this world of inverted players has made the concept of Sala playing left wing seem impossible. Logically speaking, playing on the left for a left footed player, should not be that hard of an adaptation and in some ways make the player less predictable. The very fact that Sala does so many outside of his left foot passes, rather than use his right foot, is an over complication of what should naturally be a straightforward pass. A left footed player would always be able to cross from the left and shoot naturally across the keeper. Sala would generate more power in his shots, rather than always curling his effort, which at times looks like there is no power in the shot. By having his strongest foot on the touchline, it is harder to tackle a left footer because the player is always on their openent is always on the inside and the ball can be shielded by the natural body position. With Sala on the right, most defenders know he wants to cut inside at some point. It's his shot of choice and is easier to defend against. The idea of Sala being able to play from the left should not seem ludicrous, it is simply old school. It can have advantages, just less conventional. If left footed players, play left back, then it's not a stretch for a left footed player to play less wing.
