Into the Pandemonium was even worse than Cold Lake. Those Vocals on Into the Pandemonium may have been the weakest tone deaf monotone attempt at trying to sing ever recorded. The only reason Cold Lake is thought of as their lamest effort is because of the band photo on the back, and every one thinks it's trendy and hip to just hate hair pop glam 1980s Headbangers Ball Metal in general. Some of those Hair?? Bands were really good even if they looked stupid, but Cold Lake sucks because it had bad songwriting ,and terrible Vocals. Celtic Frost were always an image conscious band, just stepping out from their Doom Slayer comfort zone was a big mistake. If they would have hired someone that can really sing both Into the Pandemonium and Cold Lake would have been at least listenable
@@yeahsure8323 no Cold Lake wasn't good, especially for what it was . The Vocals are monotone and nasal , the lead guitar is fast and sloppier than Kerry King on his worse day , and the album intro is a hip hop sample that sounds amateur. Still Cold Lake is at least an attempt at some song structure, which is more than anyone could say about the thrown together mess they call Into the Pandemonium. Listen to similar albums by Firehouse, or Babylon AD released around the same time, and compare the quality of Cold Lake to them
I just listened to Morbid Tales and I turned it up loud. As I got to Danse Macabre I turned it even louder, so when Nocturnal Fear came on... Maaaan, did I have goosebumps!!! That was awesome.😃
Great video! Celtic Frost is one of the best metal bands ever. My first frost album was Monotheist back in 2006/7 is still to this day one of the most evil things I ever heard, what a masterpiece, the atmosphere is brutal and the misathronpic feeling freezes your soul. The 2 Triptykon's albums that continue this doomy sound are fantastic as well. Those shows with Martin screaming "there is no God" at the begining of Ain Elohim are pure gold, what a shame he passed away.
I remember discovering Celtic Frost back when Morbid Tales was first released. And I was really blown away by their heaviness. It was a really incredible debut album and a true classic Metal album. So there far I have to rank Morbid Tales as my #1 album. Verygood rankings as my rankings of them would be pretty much the same as yours.🤘
Man I love Into the Pandemonium! Mexican Radio is a great jam! Perfect description of Monotheist. One of the heaviest albums I've ever heard. Agree with the top 2. What a legendary band.
Took me a couple of listens but Monotheist was a great and intense album. Nearly scared the shit out of me in 2006 like Venom and Celtic Frost/Hellhammer did to me in 1984. I was lucky to hear Venom's Welcome to Hell first (before their others) and Morbid Tales when it came out. A 36 yr/old me was a kid in a candy store when I spent an hour at a record store signing with Martin (mostly) and Tom on the first round of Monotheist touring. Poor turn out because it was last minute and not advertised so they asked me to stick around. Got my Morbid Tales jacket that I painted in 1986 signed.
I will not deny the awesome power of Morbid Tales or To Mega Therion, but Monotheist to me is not just the greatest Celtic Frost album, but one of the greatest metal albums of all time. Another great video, so thanks and keep ‘em coming! I second the many calls for Bathory mostly because Quorthon had his 3 phases, black, folk and even thrash for a short period. All have their merits and I’m interested to see if what period you find has more merits.
I think that's my order for those as well. Monotheist is a great record , I'm so glad it came out to put an amazing cap on the legacy of Celtic Frost. They absolutely ruled on that tour as well, I got to meet Tom G after the show!
@@slavkagill Awesome. Tbf Into the Pandemonium isn't great but I do like Inner Sanctum, Cold Lake is pretty bad but not awful and Monotheist ,with all due respect to people who love the album, I really hate a lot.
Great vid (as always) and I've been waiting for you to do Frost since you started these. Me? 1) Into The Pandemonium 2) Monotheist 3) To Mega Therion 4) Morbid Tales 5) Vanity/Nemesis 6) Cold Lake But having said that any of the top 4 could be swapped if really required. I put Pandemonium #1 as even though 34 years have elapsed its still misunderstood. I think the main problem (my self included until this fact dawned on me) is we approach critiquing and even just absorbing the album (and CF as a whole) as 'metal fans'. We use the parameters and 'rules' of metal both consciously and subconsciously (because that's what we do on here!) and for something like CF I think that's wrong. Tom himself has said in numerous interviews over the years - particularly with his battles with Noise and other labels - that if we thought such as French horns, cellos, synths, female Opera singers were 'out there' for Mega Therion and Pandemonium then we should have heard what direction he REALLY wanted to take CF in! The mind boggles! Sure they've always been 'rooted' in metal as that's where they (sort of) belong most. But even in the Hellhammer days they were the proverbial square peg in a round hole. PS - I've never got - commercially- why they never re-released/re-packaged Cold Lake. Given copies have gone for silly(ish) money on Ebay. Ok, there are (superior) remixed version of some of the tracks on the Parched With Thirst Am I And Dying compilation. But as Ruthless Metal says it might be their worst album... but... its way, way better than other band's worst!
Thank you for this video...FINALLY on Celtic Frost. Most excellent. So my favorite lp by Frost remains Cold Lake. I dont care if I am possibly the only one. Lol. Really if they looked the same as before Cold Lake in the videos, photos etc I really doubt if all the hate would be heaped on it as hard. That said I love all of their lps as well as Triptikon's. Also dug seeing Tom as basically H.R. Giger's secretary in the Giger documentary.
Super stoked to watch this one, and you didn't disappoint. The first two were obvious, and although I would have originally flip-flopped the middle two and top two, your reasoning for putting them where you did was spot-on. ITP was maybe too experimental, and Monotheist was definitely more brutal and straightforward. And while it's tough to go against MT with (I think) their two best songs, Into Megatherion is the perfect mix of experimentation and brutality - with a fabulous cover, to boot!
Agree completely with #1; To Mega Thereon is an outstanding record, one that I’ve been listening to regularly since it was released. I’d even say it’s the one album out of hundreds I own that gets super regular spin time. My only disagreement with your list is Pandemonium. I absolutely love everything about that record.
i agree . i dont see how people think cold lake is better ???!!! i guess you have to like other kinds of music , like jazz , new wave , classical , heavy beat sampling ,ect... Tom was stretching out his creative boundries and it made for an interesting listen i think . i t still had heavy undertones too though on it .
@@mikekrause3671 I bought Cold Lake when it came out, and as a then closed-minded metal head I played half of side one and filed it away. A few weeks ago I decided to give it another try and while it’s definitely not my favorite of theirs I definitely enjoyed it more and can definitely appreciate it now.
@@thephideaux i was watching that live video they put out on VHS around that Cold Lake period on you tube awhile back , and while most of it was bad they did a few songs from CL on it and i must admit they had a few good riffs and parts to the songs. they should have reworked those (ill have to see which songs those were excactly again) on Vanity/ Nemesis or some thing and made them like the earlier ,heavy dark songs.
Into The Pandemonium gets really overlooked. I personally think it’s a damn good album. It’s very Avant-garde and it still sounds heavy. CF weren’t afraid to do things no other Metal band at the time would do. However, it does have a few flaws. I also find Tom’s impersonation of Rozz Williams hilarious but I never really thought of it as an issue. Overall, it’s a very interesting album that deserves a little more attention and praise! According to Tom, the next album was supposed to be in the vein of ITP but unfortunately, what we got was something entirely different (Cold Lake). Also, “Rex Irae” pretty much predicted all those bland Gothic Metal bands (with male/female vocals) that would come later on lol.
The Rozz reference is DEAD ON. I nailed that upon first listen back 30 years ago.... haha! Personally, I really enjoy that distressed, withering, defeated vocal style. Especially with the more exotic touches found in the music. And Tom knows when to turn it on and off too, still giving us his signature vocals and those legendary death grunts. The only song I don't like on ITTP is "One In Their Pride", which was a half-ass attempt at industrial music, I suppose. Everything else is just perfect. I couldn't choose between this and To Mega Therion, honestly. Both are essential listening in my book.
@@noinim Yeah, I also think it sounds cool! But, I sometimes can't help but laugh sometimes haha. Tom was a huge fan of Christian Death and Goth music in general, which explains why album has strong Gothic influences! And I agree, he doesn't exactly overuse the voice. The whole album has a good balance of Tom's signature voice and Tom's Rozz Williams impersonation. And "One In Their Pride" is kinda cool in my opinion but it definitely is the weakest song on the album. At least they tried! The woman who recites the poem in "Tristesses De La Lune" was Manu Moan, who was in a Swiss Darkwave/Goth band called The Vyllies!
I became a CF fans back in '85, because of "Circle of the Tyrants" (I was a 13 yo kid) and "To Mega Therion" is my favourite CF album since 36 years. "Morbid Tales" was raw, dark, heavy.. and in my personal ranking shares the second place with "Monotheist". Thank you for this video.. I really enjoyed it! :-)
I remember watching the music video for “A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh” on headbanger’s ball when I was younger. Scared the goddamn shit out of me. I’ve been a big fan ever since.
1. Monotheist...transcendent album. Still overwhelming and mind-blowing to me 15 years later. Layered, dense, and creepy AF. 2. To Mega Therion. The most cohesive, fully realized collection of songs from the classic era, IMO. Just the right amount (and kinds) of experimentation to deepen the listening experience. 3. Morbid Tales. Terrific debut and big leap forward from HH. 4. Into the Pandemonium. Daring but maybe slightly underfocused? 5. Cold Lake. More memorable songwriting than V/N, IMHO. Off-putting wardrobe choices exacerbated by a phoned-in mix/master which didn't do the band any favors. I only came around to it many years later. I still find the intro terrible. 6. Vanity/Nemesis. When it came out I thought it was a relief compared to CL, but it's never sounded particularly inspiring to me? If Prototype had appeared here, I can't imagine it would have fared well!!
The songs from Cold Lake that reappear on Vanity/Nemesis are cool songs. I never listened to Cold Lake, but I enjoyed Vanity/Nemesis quite a lot when it came out. Pandemonium was odd, but I also listened to it regularly when it was new. I never gave Monotheist a second listen, tho I probably should. Morbid Tales will always be my favorite.
Some of the Cold Lake songs were rerecorded for the Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying compilation and they sound really good in my opinion. Also the version of Circle of the Tyrants that appears on there, is different to the one on Emperors Return, contrary to what some people seem to think.
@@RuthlessMetalYT you are more informed than I am...lol My first show EVER was anthrax(among the living) Exodus(pleasures of the flesh) and Celtic Frost (???) .... Harpo's 1989 Detroit. I believe Celtic Frost is my #1 band of all time....lol Tool, c.o.c., DOWN, NIN, Handsome, helmet, prong, perfect circle, Deftones, Old Quicksand, fugazi, Sepultura, .... This is my kinda groove. Me and you touch base on venom, Celtic Frost, nuclear assault, s.o.d. etc.... You know your stuff...lol
I totally agree with your rankings. Saw them on the To Mega Therion tour with Voivod opening. Blazing concert! Also lucky to see them in a small club for Monotheist tour. Lound and heavy as ever! And then came Tryptikon...
Good video I dunno if I completely agree but it's nice to see a different perspective on such an influential and experimental band. My picks 1. Vanity/nemesis 2. To mega therion 3. Monotheist 4. Morbid tales 5. Into the pandemonium 6. Cold lake
I don't disagree with the order at all, but I still love Into the Pandemonium. I remember ordering it from our local record store and being hooked on the theatre of it (also a huge King Diamond fan for the same reason) I Wont Dance is one of my favourite all-time songs. When Cold Lake came out I was horrified by what they had become. Definitely the worst mistake ever by any band in history.
Despite of grandfathers of extreme metal, they were also grandfathers of symphonic metal in some way. Interesting to see that this is a subgenre which emerged not from the most obvious places, take Therion for example (the band I mean, they also started as a death metal one).
I've never been able to pick a favorite between To Mega Therion and Morbid Tales. Both are stellar albums. I also saw Celtic Frost on the Monotheist tour and while it was a killer show, I was disappointed they didn't play A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh, which is probably my favorite song by them. They played the whole fucking record except that one! It has the most incredible vibe and is so fucking dark and crushing. I just love it.
Ruthless here's Celtic frost studio albums i ranked in my opinion: 5.Cold Lake 4.Vanity/Nemesis 3.Monotheist 2.Into the Panedemonium 1.To Mega Therion So i gotta say Cold Lake is a sell out album because of glam. And the album i liked is To Mega Therion because is such a killer album.

Time go listen to Monotheist a few more times! I remember when it came out - what a surprise! Extreme metal would not be the same without these guys. And To Mega Therion is definitely their best.
I love Monotheist! Very dark and creepy. I don't care for the female vocals however but it seems to fit the album. I remember going to the record store back in the day and Cold Lake was always in the used CD bin! LOL! Ruthless Metal guy, please do Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, and Sepultura albums ranked.
How would someone even rank Napalm Desth? They have so many crushing, pummeling albums…they found a perfect balance between death metal and grindcore starting with Utopia Banished, and every album since then has been great…and they have to get respect for the first grindcore album with Scum
Celtic Frost, such a great band, so influential on many bands. Dethroned Emperor was the first song I heard and I was instantly amazed. No big change in the ranking here, maybe a switch of place between Into the Pandemonium and Monotheist, but that's more a question of mood, Monotheist is one of my darkest records. Take out Mexican Radio, Tristesses de la Lune, One in Their Pride and I won't Dance, I would consider Into the Pandemonium as a Masterpiece, the participation of Martin Ain on the vocals, this passages sound so haunting, great stuff. ALL HAIL TO MEGA THERION! 🤘
Haha - I first heard ‘Circle of the tyrants’ back to back by Celtic Frost followed with Obituary’s cover on the JJJ Australian radio show ‘2 hours of power’ in 1990. There was a special guest on the show called ‘Killer Sausage Tyrone’ who was interviewed about his friendship with Thomas (Warrior). All new to me and as this was some of the first death metal I had heard, my young ears took a few months to make the one way switch from thrash to death metal. Death metal is a bit like learning to stomach opera singing. The tape recording of this particular radio show (which I wore out) helped seal the deal. At an album purchase rate of 0.5 per month, taping late night radio shows playing death metal and thrash was really important! But, a few years later I was earning money and so standing in a record store deciding what my next purchase should be. I was deep into death metal. I flipped through the dross and I spotted a Celtic Frost EP with a brown cover. Wow! The first Celtic Frost album for me to ever see! I only knew Circle of the tyrants from that radio show and having never read any reviews, I very excitedly put my money down. Got home spun the platter and Mexican Radio came on. Shit! I was very confused and quite gutted, but….. in those days I would put my new vinyl onto tape and listen to it on long bus rides I regularly took. Everything I bought was closely listened to. I was having my first girlfriends and seeing the world in a new way. Into the pandemonium was a shit death metal album, but not a bad album. Atmospheric, emotional and actually very creative. ‘Mesmerised’, ‘Sorrows of the moon’ and ‘Rex Irae’ started closing my mind’s door on straight up death metal and got me interested in more emotionally expressive, mysterious and experimental music. Cathedral, Paradise Lost, OLD, Godflesh, Scorn, Fields of the Nephilim, Fudge Tunnel,…..
I have loved Frost since the mid 80’s. Fischer’s guitar tone/sound has been emulated by so many in grind Nd death metal/black metal of contemporary days. And they had the courage to explore hair metal where as the “hair bands” would never dare touch thrash, speed, black, or death metal. And their is still a haunting sound on Cold Lake - Cherry Orchards had a video too!!! I feel the same with Discharge’s metal album as well - it takes guts to take those kind of chances. Vanity/Nemesis was a great reprise for Frost. But “Pandemonium” is an amazing piece of metal that approaches art (as Tom G would say). Tristesse de La Lune is a poem by the French poet Baudelaire (From Les Fleurs du Amal) and shows Frost’s appreciation for art and literature; the cover of the album is a painting by Bosch). Monotheist is def a heavy slab of sound though too.……Uhhh!!!!!🤘🤘🤘👍🔥🔥🔥
I was playing D&D with my group a few weeks ago and going through the DM's record collection during the other player's turns. I felt like my heart was gonna burst out of my chest when I happened across Morbid Tales and To Mega Therion on vinyl, the original pressings from the 80s.
Cold Lake must have been like what Load was like for me. I am very sorry you had to experience that and I hope you have recovered since then. Me, I'm still in shock over Lars' eye shadow and don't think I will ever be the same.
Into the Pandemonium was my first CF album, so I am used to their avant garde/ experimental sound. The early stuff is all great, but I got Monotheist the day I bought my Mustang GT so I will forever link the song Progeny to a growling engine flying down country roads. Monotheist feels like the culmination of what CF was always trying to be, and were finally able to get the production they deserved. When I listen to Triptykon it's just CF with a different name.
I did not get into death metal or thrash etc etc etc but I am getting into it now in my life, I will check these guys out! sounds dangerous and deadly you turned me on to these guys if I rip my head off it is your fault and and Tom G Warrior. just being funny lol
I remember staying up really late to catch the premiere of Cherry Orchards on Headbanger’s Ball’s Triple Thrash Threat. I can still remember the massive disappointment in my 13-year-old mind. In retrospect though, the riffs on Cold Lake could have been molded into some really great songs.
My favorite song by Celtic Frost is Circle of the Tyrants. I first heard it on a VHS tape released by Noise Records called "Doomsday News". It was a compilation of videos by Noise Records artists such as Voivod , Kreator, Coroner, Helloween , and a few other more obscure bands. Does anyone remember that? I wish I had kept it. Anyway my fav CF album is Morbid Tales which features the most evil sounding riff ever on the track Procreation of the Wicked.
I'm one of the weirdos. 1) Monotheist, 2) Tie between To Mega Therion and Into the Pandemonium, 4) Morbid Tales, 5) Vanity/Nemisis, 6) Cold Lake To address the obvious anomaly of placing ItP so high, I love the extreme experimentation that it brings. Not everything works, but I personally love the vocal take of Mesmerized. It's as if Tom had been listening to a lot of Christian Death and wanted to try to incorporate Rozz's vocal style into CF.
Monotheist was the first CF album I heard when i was a kid.. it still gives me goosebumps listening to it in 2022. It's by far my most favourite CF album. Hauntingly beautiful dark compositions I have very specific memory of playing GTA vice City for hours while listening to this album on repeat lol Im so glad Tom carried on evolving the sound into Tryptikon
I am old enough to be a fan of Morbid Tales and To Mega Therion albums, but, with the pass of years I really think Into The Pandemonium is a cool record.
l’m a big Hellhammer and Celtic Frost fan. I’d place them next to Venom and Bathory when it comes to originators of extreme metal. l would put Morbid Tales on 1 and To Mega Therion 2nd place, and pretend the other albums never happened.
I would include Voivod on that list. Their 1984 debut album War And Pain was probably the heaviest thing I'd heard at that time. Voivod were the band that made me realize that you could be really heavy and not have to be Satanic. And of course you can't forget Slayer who had their debut album out before Celtic Frost or Bathory did.
@@g-man4744 Yeah you’re right man. around that time I was into bands like GBH, Discharge, Disorder etc. That kind of sound undeniable had an influence on extreme metal.
@@offermoord totally, Tom G. mentioned Discharge many times as a game changer. Venom was in touch with Amebix, Bathory was inspired by GBH, Sarcofago were huge fans of Finnish punk...Rattus etc.. massive influence

Into the Pandemonium 2. Monotheist 1. To Mega Therion Just like you 😀. I do not consider Morbid Tales as a studio album, but "Into the Crypts of Rays" deserves a special mention. Hail!! 🤘🤘🤘
Original "Into The Pandemonium" hasn't "Tristesses de la lune" track, but the original metal version, with T.G. Warrior's vocals, "Sorrows of the moon". "Tristesses..." came from the "I won't dance" 12" EP and was included as an LP track since the earlier Noise remasters. So people knew the orchestal/ female voice version after the metal original one of the LP. Cheers!

I'm very jealous. And yes, Monotheist is amazing \m/
Dude that's awesome!
Yup agree with the whole list.
Extra points for the S.O.D. quote, speaking of which when is their Rank em All coming out 😁
Cheers!
I dig Monotheist but I wouldn't put it that high, it's a bit too modern and weird for me personally. :)
I've been listening to this channel all day having a blast and love it. Glad you did this channel my friend!
thank you! Cheers!
Awesome video! In my opinion I would switch the place of Monotheist with Into The Pandemonium. As I said, just my opinion. Once again, awesome video!
Cheers!
I think that's my order for those as well. Monotheist is a great record , I'm so glad it came out to put an amazing cap on the legacy of Celtic Frost. They absolutely ruled on that tour as well, I got to meet Tom G after the show!
Cool! Cheers!
My Ranking:
1. To Mega Therion
2. Morbid Tales
3. Vanity/Nemesis
4. Everything else imo.

@@RuthlessMetalYT No problem. Not a huge CF fan (never took to Tom G Warrior's vocals) but the albums I love I do genuinely love.
Great video :)
Agree with you
@@slavkagill Awesome. Tbf Into the Pandemonium isn't great but I do like Inner Sanctum, Cold Lake is pretty bad but not awful and Monotheist ,with all due respect to people who love the album, I really hate a lot.
I thank Obituary’s cover of Circle of Tyrants for getting me into Celtic Frost. To Mega Therion is such a well made, unusual album.
UUGHH!!
The Tardy bros are huge CF fans, of course we all pretended Cold Lake never happened.
yeah that was a great cover
Great vid (as always) and I've been waiting for you to do Frost since you started these. Me?
1) Into The Pandemonium
2) Monotheist
3) To Mega Therion
4) Morbid Tales
5) Vanity/Nemesis
6) Cold Lake
But having said that any of the top 4 could be swapped if really required.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Hi Dude! greetings from Chile, im a 45 y.o. Celtic Frost fan for life \m/
Hello there Sir! Cheers!
Cheers!
DUUUDE!!!
YOU ARE FUCKING AWESOME!!!
THE WAY YOU STARTED THIS VIDEO WITH THE LYRICAL QUOTE IS FUCKING GREAT!!
YOUR RESPONSE WAS PERFECT!!
hehe thanks. :)
Yeah a lot of people dig Pandemonium but I think it's a bit uneaven. The best songs are good though. Cheers!
i agree . i dont see how people think cold lake is better ???!!! i guess you have to like other kinds of music , like jazz , new wave , classical , heavy beat sampling ,ect...
@@thephideaux i was watching that live video they put out on VHS around that Cold Lake period on you tube awhile back , and while most of it was bad they did a few songs from CL on it and i must admit they had a few good riffs and parts to the songs. they should have reworked those (ill have to see which songs those were excactly again) on Vanity/ Nemesis or some thing and made them like the earlier ,heavy dark songs.
i play it too - (TMT )- many times a year. It still holds up even after so many years.
Cheers!
@@metalheadgamer80 Interesting... I never knew about the connection between CF and The Vyllies!
@@noinim, Yep! I can assume CF were fans of The Vyllies, which is why they got Manu Moan to recite the poem.
Great video. I 100% agree with the ranking

Love Monotheist
Cheers!
Cheers!
I remember watching the music video for “A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh” on headbanger’s ball when I was younger. Scared the goddamn shit out of me. I’ve been a big fan ever since.
Cheers!
Monotheist is Creepy for sure.
Cheers!
couldn't agree more with this list, mega therion is an amazing record that will continue to inspire new bands for decades to come
Cheers!
Cheers!
That song Mesmerized is really cool.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Some of the Cold Lake songs were rerecorded for the Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying compilation and they sound really good in my opinion. Also the version of Circle of the Tyrants that appears on there, is different to the one on Emperors Return, contrary to what some people seem to think.
Good Show Buddy. I agree with all BUT morbid tales #1...lol
You are very informed on metal. I wasn't sure there were many of us left...lol
Yes, I've been a metal nerd for decades. It was a hard pick for me, love both the top choices here.

Despite of grandfathers of extreme metal, they were also grandfathers of symphonic metal in some way. Interesting to see that this is a subgenre which emerged not from the most obvious places, take Therion for example (the band I mean, they also started as a death metal one).
yeah maybe so, they were one of the first to experimenting with backing female vocals and weird instruments like french horn and stuff.
1. Into the Pandemonium
2. To mega Therion
3. Morbid Tales
4. Monotheist
5. Vanity/Nemesis
6. Cold Shit

I prefer Morbid Tales but my favorite release from them is Satanic Rites when they were Hellhammer.

Yeah I saw them on the same tour, amazing! Cheers!

5.Cold Lake
4.Vanity/Nemesis
3.Monotheist

I love Monotheist! Very dark and creepy. I don't care for the female vocals however but it seems to fit the album. I remember going to the record store back in the day and Cold Lake was always in the used CD bin! LOL! Ruthless Metal guy, please do Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, and Sepultura albums ranked.
I'm not really a death metal guy, that's why I leave the voting to you guys. Sepultura I might do some day though. Cheers!
Cheers!
Cathedral, Paradise Lost, OLD, Godflesh, Scorn, Fields of the Nephilim, Fudge Tunnel,…..
haha nice name. Cheers!
Cheers!
I was playing D&D with my group a few weeks ago and going through the DM's record collection during the other player's turns. I felt like my heart was gonna burst out of my chest when I happened across Morbid Tales and To Mega Therion on vinyl, the original pressings from the 80s.

UUUGHHH!!
Love this Rank em All series. Have you done VOIVOD? It's an idea...

Yeah maybe so. :)
Call me crazy but I like the slightly kooky experimental side of Celtic Frost. Great video as always!

Yes I do. I think I have my VHS laying aorund somewhere. Good stuff!

To address the obvious anomaly of placing ItP so high, I love the extreme experimentation that it brings. Not everything works, but I personally love the vocal take of Mesmerized. It's as if Tom had been listening to a lot of Christian Death and wanted to try to incorporate Rozz's vocal style into CF.

Venom and Bathory when it comes to originators of extreme metal.
l would put Morbid Tales on 1 and To Mega Therion 2nd place,
and pretend the other albums never happened.
