On many vehicles, there is a screen below where the pressure sensor goes. So after removing the pressure sending unit, you must fish out the screen below with a knitting hook or some such, and clean / replace it. Not that you'll remember, come next spring. Haha.
Maybe I misunderstood something. Wouldn't it be quickest/easiest to first swap out oil pressure gauge to eliminate or confirm that as the problem? Or put a tester on the wire to gauge to see if it gets current? But what do I know!
So I've been a subscriber for quite a few years. Never have left a comment. But!!! As a mechanic I had too. Someone mentioned shear pin on distributor. No. Either it would work or not work as far as oil pressure. Also it wouldn't be correctly timed. Someone mentioned the bottom of the distributor. That could be a possibility if it is somehow rounded out where it goes into the rod that goes to the pump. I would be really surprised if the actual pick up tube is plugged. Should have checked that when you had the oil pan and pump off. Just saying. Lol. If it really has no oil pressure you would have hears valve train and or bottom end noise. Keep it simple. Is it an electric sensor or a line gage set up? If electric test wires and gauge. Maybe new sensor is bad. Happens alot. If a line gauge check the gauge. Also the line from the motor to the gauge is very small. Make sure it isn't plugged up. Always start small simple and easy and go from there. Hopefully none of the smaller oil ports are plugged that would be bad. Love you're channel. Have saved a lot of money on tools and bought a lot I didn't really need but with the money saved on the Ines I did need that kinda evens it out and I have a plethora of tools wich makes me a happy man. Keep up the good work on the tool deals my man. Much appreciated.
The pin (half moon shaped) can shear when the oil pump picks up small amounts of debris that is in the oil. It’s connected to the cam shaft gear on the distributor and will effect the timing. One way to check if the pin is completely sheared is to lift the cap and watch the rotor when cranking the engine (maybe, it’s been a few minutes since I worked on classic Fords/that weren’t so classic when I worked on them)
Yo man, zero oil pressure may be Synthetic Oil. In old cars synthetic will not Register . Trust me , I panicked when my 79 crown vic police. Old cars don’t like synthetic oil .
Here is some of that Mustang I'm talking about at the end - th-cam.com/video/-JKj310bP0o/w-d-xo.html

I prefer the hulkman jumpstart.
It's beat even the DeWalt in helping start trucks
Man! Mustang stories! Thanks for sharing!
I have the orbital sander and it has performed well under my hard use. But it DOESN'T HAVE RANDOM ORBIT so you will get swirls. Use it accordingly!
If you get oil pressure with the drill Make sure the bottom of the distributor shaft is in good shape.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year bud!
Yes the tent is a great deal! 😂
Is there a shear pin on the distributor? Maybe it’s partially sheared.

✨✨Happy New 2025🎆🎆💥

Pull the valve covers and take an air hose pressure tip blow down oil journals and blow all that mouse shit out . Dude I've got a blockage somewhere

Hey divide 12 into 81 and get ur measurement....lmao
