  • Learn more about the Pleasure-Way Tofino: pleasureway.co...
    Ever since we launched the Tofino in late 2018 we knew an expedition to the very place that inspired its identity would be the perfect destination for an RV adventure. Enter Devon and Roberta (our creative director and his partner) and their plan to embark on a cross-country road trip to unite the Tofino with its namesake town.
    Eager to hit the highway for a good old-fashioned road trip, our very own amateur vanlifers set out for Canada’s west coast to discover for themselves what makes Tofino such an extraordinary place. “The Road To Tofino” is the result of Dev and Ro’s vanlife maiden voyage. Enjoy!

    Now THAT is how you market a product. This was really well done. It was obviously a promotional video for the Tofino, but with a fun story and playful, creative editing. Looking forward to seeing more Devon and Ro!

      Hi Jeff, that was Green Point Campground in the Pacific Rim National Park. Around 20km outside of Tofino. It's incredible. Highly recommend staying there if you ever get the chance. - Devon

    Devon reminds me a lot of Dean Rumpel. I don't suppose they're related ?
    EDIT: OK, saw ending credits...yes 😄

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Your hunch was correct! Devon is Dean's nephew. Devon produces all the tour videos with Dean.

    Great storyline and videography, very well put together. Do you wish you had a van with a toilet?

    I grew up In Kindersley SK. I recognized when you stopped in Alsask. I found this video because I am researching a travel van that with sleep 4. The Tofino looks very very attractive. I like that there is no shower/toilet to take up space. This is great.

    What's the song at 4:35? Seems familiar, but Shazam can't name it...

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Matt! The song is called, "Runaway River" by Marc Walloch. I choose the song because it had a nice Americana/Tom Petty/The War on Drugs (the band) vibe to it.

    Absolutely stunning views and such a lovely story of the two of you 🥰Thank you for sharing this trip with us, I personally enjoyed it and learned of a new place in BC to visit in my new Ascent. Cheers from Seattle.

      Thank you so much, Sadie! You absolutely should make the trek from Seattle to Tofino (those winding island roads will be no match for the Ascent!) Glad you enjoyed the video 😊

    was surprised that there were not more PW sightings on VI! We have been there many times and are PW lovers. It is unbelievable the amount that we have seen!!!!! PW, the name in RV! THX

      Thanks for watching, Paul! Devon here - you are absolutely right, we actually did see more PW's while on the island but we didn't get them all on camera! It's a great place for a Pleasure-Way that's for sure :)

    The Tafino is a nice compact unit. Enjoy your travels. Back in the day van life was it. The pop top is a pure give away someone is inside. In my opinion no real stealth camping in Walmart. But comfortable. Just sharing and enjoy your travels. Also your time together as a couple….

    excellent video and great way to feature the Tofino. We have a VW Eurovan and the Tofino is a great option to upgrade. But what would be better is to have the next pop up style van on a VW Buzz body!! PW's excellent quality with VW's technology!

    • @pleasureway

      Thanks for watching Shawna! Hmmm.. VW x PW - I like the sound of that! The upcoming ID. Buzz van is very exciting.

    Awesome! Like Devon, I am tall too. One inch taller. I like that He fit well up in the pop top. I didn't see a bathroom facility or a place to put a portable toilet. And or shower capabilities inside not outside but anyway I like that pleasure way. That was a really great video I really enjoyed it. Makes me want to come up to British Columbia and Canada from New York City maybe one day.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad you enjoyed the video! You can't go wrong making a trip to the west coast to visit British Columbia, so much to see and do. A wonderful place. And you are correct, the Tofino does not include a built in bathroom facility or interior shower. Your best bet would be to keep a portable toilet in the rear cargo area. Thanks for your comment 🙌

    we'd been eye-balling the tofino since it 1st came out. we are cyclists and own folding bikes. Like the tofino for size (we can fit our bikes in this easy). Doubt the tofino for its chasis. Wish tofino was built on a Nissan NV3500 instead. In the end, we'd likely get the Nissan NV3500 because it is more reliable. Subscribed. would luv to learn more from u.

      Didn’t Nissan discontinue the NV 3500? I can’t find anything online. Maybe I’m not looking in the right places. I like some of those Nissan products . Just be super careful with that horrid Nissan transmission. It might be the only van I would purchase with the extended warranty.
