Just got my mega live. This video has been very helpful. I’ve only had a little bit of time to play with it. This is going to be very helpful in the set up. Can’t wait for a fun fishing session to dial this thing in.
I’ve had mine a year and survived all the updates! Lol. This is a great video, straight forward with great tips. One thing I’ve forced myself to do is use landscape mode more often in less than 9fow. I’m hooked on that now. Biggest tip is I’ve found to switch to the casting rings instead of grid lines. I’d love to see a video on the landscape mode. Thanks
We are trolling for salmon and I wanted to use Landscape mode so I can see my gear behind the boat and any salmon going after my lures. Also to locate fish and what depth they are holding at. Any suggestions on using Landscape Mode? I tried Forward and Landscape and Landscape I didn't see much at all.
Just having my boat rigged with my first Mega Live and this explanation is a good preview on how to create settings that should point me in the right direction. Thanks for sharing.,
I’ve had MegaLive for 3 months now, and I’ve found it useful in four different areas: 1. finding fish; 2. locating structure; 3. seeing depth changes; and 4. determining the direction fish are moving. For me, MegaLive is most useful for locating structure and determining depth changes.
I see you also have the 360. I also have both but I'm finding I rarely rely on the 360 terribly underutilizing this unit. Have you done, or can you do, a video showing how you use the combination?
Would it be possible show The cone angle got great pictures I just cannot see my lure thank you again for the settings they've helped first time I've got it all dialed in except for being able to see the lower at any distance
Last year I used Mega Live while fishing for Coho Salmon on the river by us. All I got were a couple big blobs on the screen that moved around. The Coho are roughly 5 to 7 pounds with some a bit bigger. Not sure of what settings I needed to change. When testing the Mega Live I actually spotted fish that were moving around. Even one that was moving through the water and joined a group of other fish. These were way smaller than the Coho Salmon. Any advice on setting for that.
I noticed you don't have the Targetlock. Curious why you don't have that unit as it would make your trolling motor independent from the mega live. Seems like that would be especially advantageous with spot lock.
Does the MegaLive transducer connect directly into the graph? Will the graph pickup the MegaLive software when the transducer is plugged in or do you have to download the MegaLive software on the graph?
I have a mega live unit. It worked fine a month or so ago. The next few times Ive gone out, I keep getting the error message saying "mega live out of water". The transducer hasnt been damaged so Im a little lost as to what happened to it. Any ideas?? BTW, thanks for the informative videos, keep em coming!
You obviously haven’t tried it before. It’s actually very fun and enjoyable, it’s crazy to see a fish react to your bait. The number of times a fish will follow your lure and not commit is crazy. Depending on how they react will tell me to start speeding up, slow down, fish bottom or fish top. It’s very situational but a great tool when you use it on the right fish.
My new boat is coming with Live, I have used all other Huminbird products with the exception of Live. The dealer stressed the importance of negating interference. My current boat has Mega 360 and Garmin...Rarely have interference issues. Im a little concerned regarding live clarity.

@@Askeyb2011 it’s all about matching the degrees to what depth you are at. Yuu will have to play with it a little to figure out
One of the best I’ve seen explaining mega live!
Best instructional I've seen on the M Live. Great job.
Now if only I had a boat.... or electronics.... 🤣😂. You've been doing amazing my guy!

Great video, Ty. Not too many useful tutorials to ML and this was a slam dunk. Thanks again.

Excellent video. Thanks so much for the help!
Excellent tips for my ML!

Awesome video, thanks for sharing 🎣🙂
Awesome video thanks tyler
Got the Solix!! Same here. Got the 10. I love it!! Don't use live scope though.

Curious about your power source.. Lead acid or Lithium? 12v or 16v?
Are you still running mega Live? I'm considering buying it before the BFL regional. Can you make a video with the most up to date update installed

Trust me I want one!
Very good video!!!
How do you get your live to be clear with no interference from your 360 if you run the both?

Are the settings pretty similar if I'm running my mega live on a helix unit instead of the solix?
Nice video!
Thanks for this. i fish a lot of ohio water myself

Update your head unit
@D White I'll try that, thanks!
At least I can still fly fish and not have to look at a screen.

@@Maxiumus_Mausimus Respect your opinion....I just don't need a fish that bad...same reason i prefer a bow to a gun. To each his own.
Well fly fishing sucks. It’s ok if you can’t afford things.
Good for you
So why are you watching a bass fishing channel?
Sorry, I’m not a fan of any “live” imaging.
Hummingbird Equiment is fucking junk. Garmin is by far better
