I did this to my 2021 Durango RT with Tow N Go package - during the day it looks great but at night with the lights on you can still see some light leaking through on certain edges.
Did you put two pieces of vinyl on top of each other for each area? I just got mine in the mail.and it came with 2 sets, and i saw when you installed yours the first piece i could see light shining through alot but once you were done it didnt show

Yes you have to very slightly overlap the peaces, use a heat gun to get the bubbles out. Over time it will sit nicely.

Any issues with getting pulled over from tinting the taillights? I had black covers on my mustang and I got a fix-a-ticket within 3 days
Never had any issues, the smoked mark blended in with he stock black center of the twilight. The design still allows legal amount of light out.
