Wow that's a great pair of finds 63 and 64 SS Impala nice!!! These are getting alot harder to find. Theae cars are definitely restorable. I'm picking up a 64 Impala next weekend I just saved can wait to go pick it up

Wow factory air, I always like those little round ball's on the side, And With the little roller in the Dash! That little 63 would be a sweet Ride! The Seats have been redone...
Bought my 1964 Impala SS In 1976 With a $550 loan from the bank, The lady thought I was crazy. I still own it, haven't had appraised for 25 years it was worth 12 grand Then. I'm the 2nd owner.
The 64 has aftermarket air conditioning. The factory unit would be integrated into the dash. Under dash A/C was very common in the 60's. My parents had one installed in our 1962 Chrysler Newport around 1965. That Chrysler was turned into a freezer. That was great for the Central Valley of California which has too many 100 plus days in the summer.
You are correct on the 64 a/c. The 63 has factory installed a/c, as shown by the vents in the dash and that huge item under the hood on the passengers side firewall...the a/c-heater unit. You can get the compressor and other components. The 63 also has the factory door handle protectors, gas filler protector front and rear bumper guards and rocker panel moldings-all options. The steering wheel in the 63 may be the optional sport steering wheel. The wheel covers in the back seat of the 63 are for a 65 SS and the interior has been reupholstered in a cloth. The SS buckets were only available in vinyl, no cloth or leather.

Yes thire company that send u the paperwork for Indiana u fill it out they run the numbers if it don't come back stolen they give u all the paperwork for a title in your state ..just go to the dmv and they hand u a title...I did it on my 67 firebird it took like a month with the back and forth between us with paperwork but np

@Wired Customs LLC When you think about it car theft was much easier back in those days if they were on a new car dealer's lot few places back then had any kind fencing or security at all. Keys for those were limited tumblers so if you had the right key from another car like it you could have put your key in and driven away easily. No computerization at the police depts so only a limited number of local PD would know of the thefts. Thanks for the reply. I was not even born yet when these cars rolled off the line.
Pretty crazy how they did things back in the day! When I was in high school I had a 79 pick up and so did one of my friends, I would use my key to park his in a different spot haha

You are correct, the 409 callouts were on the automatic or the 3-4 speed transmission cars.
The fan shroud looked to be a 409 they were shorter then the 283 or 327 ones
