As you wander around these woods, I worry about your safety with rattlesnakes. Be careful and I will keep watching, commenting and liking. I love the look of that old F150, I think a 69. Chuck
The copperheads are the worse. They don't warn and a lot more of them
My neighbor has one of these. I always admired it as a kid.
This one has been sold and hopefully restored. Thanks for watching
She’s worth saving. This girl needs someone who has lots of time and money 😊
It dose, I hope someone will save it
It would take someone with deep pockets & time, but she can be saved ! Great find ! 👍🏻😁
Thanks. It's been pulled out of the yard and tires put back on it. I hope someone buys it.
I agree 200000%. That that car could be saved to the right person who has the time money in skill and knowledge. That is a rare piece 62 impala Super sport Seriously That anniversary gold, that's a beautiful color.
Big update, the car has been sold and going to be restored. Makes me happy to see it saved
I saw you slow down by that 65 Comet, I could hear the wheels turning. You’re not fooling me pal………😂🤘🏻💯
Those are nice doors
@@flatbrokegarage 😂😂
If you find the “right guy” it could be saved. If you had a decent non-SS car you could build a car around that vin plate.
I agree, I'm just not that guy
Bill. Thank you for showing that rare chevy I had never heard of it. So yes I think if a Jay Leno type with deep pockets could restore it but way to much for old guys like us ha ha
You got that right! Stuff is getting expensive. Just hope someone saves it
Another great video my friend, shedding light on another timeless beauty. Blessings and respect!
Thanks, buddy! I sure hope someone saves it.
@@flatbrokegarage I do too. Such a piece of history there!
Definitely a great car that needs to be saved! Although, it’ll be a big project!
Absolutely massive, I did just find out there is another 62 available
@@flatbrokegarage as a parts car for the SS? That would make a great restoration story, but expensive!
I think it should buff right out!
Ha
Yes
Steering wheel and mouldings would be someone out there trying to find them very hard to get parts, that steering wheel on the wall would be cool, Awesome enjoyed cheers 🍺🍻🍺🍻🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸😎👍
I hope someone buys it
That’s a hidden treasure
Sad to see it like that that
Someone bought it and is restoring it
@@flatbrokegarage
Awesome that’s good news!! Those are
$60,000 once restored!!
Thank you for you knowledge in cars n trucks proud of you and your work!!
@user-vl1kp5wo8g thank you, I'm just happy when one gets saved.
That “could” be a nice car! What will you “stumble” on next? A nice truck perhaps?
I have my eye on a f100 😆
Save that rare piece of history there's a parts car on the property throw it in in with the deal and that golden Chevy could be on the road in a few years
Yes very rare , I have one of very first ones built as is that one , mine was built in October 61 and was one that didn't have the machine swirl rear trunk panel the same as that one , they were built as a 50 year anniversary and very small number were built for the dealerships as a promotion , in November people loved the colour so Chevrolet started building more for the general market with the machine swirl trunk panel which they built more .
This car was actually bought this year and is going to be restored. Yours sounds awesome. Glad to see them saved
I am so glad to hear that. @@flatbrokegarage
Wow this place is huge! Lots of gems right here.
There still are a fee good ones
It would be worth saving if you had a 4 door parts car to use.
There is another ss impala that could go with it.
I could pull that rear quarter out and I'm sure somebody could straighten that decklid but I'd find another one. But it's the x-frame underneath that they always Rot. Nearly impossible to find a original 62 ish frame replacement. But what you could do is patch the frame. Floorboards no big deal in the factory has most interior in it is great. I guess they didn't start making cars to about 16 years later because the 50th anniversary for Chevy trucks within nineteen sixty-eight. I made limited gold and white additions for the golden anniversary. Side note I found one is longbed had 327 originally and they cut it down to the botched job on the frame. The 327 was gone. They put in a 305. On top of that it was a CST. Truck is worth probably $12,000 maybe more before they ever started cutting on it. Here's at $3,000 and I walked away from it. That was hard to do. Anyways far as this car goes it's a verbal and you can get aftermarket friends but they cost $5,000 one last thing 327 it should have the 327 numbers with the flag. That flag is a 283. Am I love have that car to add to my collection with a 62 Impala wagon that I have. I'm really enjoying your channel. Glad that you guy over at Auto archaeology recommended you
We have been talking about pulling that car out and getting it back on its tires. It is for sale. Just to much work for me. Thanks for taking Ryan's (auto archeology) advice and checking my channel out. He's a buddy of mine and thanks for watching
@@flatbrokegarage the 62 interests me.. it's not a bubble back window like a 61 is it? I'm assuming you can get any piece of glass made if you have the measurements but for example the 61 bubble back window is just impossible to find. So that would make that car useless. I think I know where there's a four-door at. I know where there's the remains of a 64 Impala 2-door hardtop as well. But other than my 62 wagons I really don't know where there's any 62 zat and person. I could probably check with half-a-dozen people and they'd come up with some. He had a couple of vehicles I was interested in and I talked with Ryan about that. Always like how Ryan was straightforward. I mean his main interest is Mopar but he gives equal attention and sometime or changes like a friend that has all those Camaro sitting on galvanized tin. They have other cars out there too but the first generation Camaros at least a half-a-dozen of them. I like Mopar Ford Studebaker and many of the rest of the other makes. But what I am really at my heart is a Chevy guy. Anyway as far as that jeep gladiator cuz I mention another comment unless I was going to put it on a newer frame. That thing would be such a big money pit because of parts are hard to come by. Although recently I've seen three or four other trucks like that one. I'd have to think where they've been. Because they just don't stick out to me. I like the body style and they make me think our friend of mine that just disappeared off the face of the Earth a number of years ago because he had one. Well you probably know better than me but what I was going to say about that 62 with that x-frame they are pretty fragile cars when you go to move them if the frame is badly rusted. And with you not being able to open the door and setting on the ground I'm kind of thinking that's the case. But I think they have reinforced boxes length of the wheelbase. If those are rusted anyting can be fixed . But it sure gets into a lot of time and money. Told you that car interested me here I keep rattling on about it. You can straighten that back quarter up in between a couple of those trees out there. All the cars he has out there he doesn't have a donor car? Thanks for the reply
A 1992 Ford aerostar van in there .That's what I drive ..I drove it up from Citrus county Fl to West Virginia. She has spent her 2nd winter up here
It's amazing what's in there. Lots of 80s memories too
Some real nice ones there 👍👍
There are for sure. Some are a little far gone.
@@flatbrokegarage some look a little to far gone lol
Wow this place is huge Bill, and a gold mine, lost count how many times i said look at that and that🤫🤣👊, pitty about the Impala, Ranchero F Trucks Camaros, Awesome episode Bill, all the best😊👊 Cheers🍺🍻 KC 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍

Face plant 😆
When you should the golden chevy Impala I saw a black Chevy pickup in the background from the 60's I would like to see a video of it and I would possibly be interested in it
I'll have to watch the video again. He has pulled most of those cars out and has them for sale now. Including the Impala
Iam blessed i found my 62 impala ss golden aniversary solid with a canadian frame.hassent been reported to gm data base.hopefully someone can save this will take about 30k just in metal work alone.
Or a doner car. 😆
@@flatbrokegaragevery limited on parts some trim is bent and parts look pived sitting on trees and moisture like that mess up metal parts.use as most parts for sure.i feel it's to much gone to build.
@juliosandoval8244 yeah, shame
@@flatbrokegarage it really is.i found my golden in the back yard of a house this guy sold the trim and motor.but I found a 62 code sbc 327 but had to find ss trim for it.its super solid with title about to register it to gm data base.
That 63 is rough but perfect for the right shop I'm sure. For me, the 70 Torinos abd 70-72 Thunderbirds are now too expensive, more than they were a year ago. Niw I'm looking for a 71-73 Impala sedan.
He has a few out here. I bet you could get a good price on one
I seen 79 TA silver
He has 4 of them 77-79. I think 2 have been sold since this video has been posted. Thanks for watching!
I saw a blue trans am in a video when yall got the nova
He has a few of them. I did a walk-around on that car in one of my videos
Save it call Rick Hendrick to restore it
I wish someone would save it.
Hell yeah she us worth saving! How much?
I believe there is another 62 SS that could go with it also. You can contact jeff@thecommongear.com thanks for watching
Was that a vw fox or jetta at the 2 min mark? My first "new" car was a 93 fox. Hard to find them around. The impala however is waaaay past my pay grade.
It might be a fox. You can contact jeff@thecommongear.com he has a list of most of the cars
Iowa classic cars. He will tell you exactly what it is and worth. Ryan.
Thanks. I see a clone version sold for 28k
@@flatbrokegarage he's your man. He probably buy it. He has a good knowledge of these cars. He got cash. Give you a finders fee. Send him a email. Be good to see it saved. Have a good day. 👍
@FYou thanks so much for the info!
@@flatbrokegarage if the engine was there it would be worth good money. But anything thing with SS on it. Brings a premium. Keep us informed. Thanks.
I have a 927 gold one in Australia it’s the only one here 😊
That's cool! The owner of the yard has actually pulled this car out and is going to get it so it rolls around.
@@flatbrokegarage how much is he asking for it
He has another 1962 SS impala that will probably go with it. You can contact jeff@thecommongear.com. he can help out with pricing.
Hey can you tell me where the 62 is please I would appreciate it brother thanks for videos!!!!
Southeast Tennessee. You can contact jeff@thecommongear.com he can help you out
I have an all original numbers matching 62 ss Impala golden anniversary I'm putting up for sale
Where is this place located? That 60/61 Ranchero has a good front bumper which I could use on mine.
Southeast Tennessee/Georgia state line. You can contact jeff@thecommongear.com
You just walked past another impala 62 or 63
Buy it
I'm sure it would be an awesome car. Just to much work for me.
This is a job for graveyard cars!!. They would resurrect this from the grave!! If you got the money anything is possible. How's the old saying go if there's a will there's a way!! 🇺🇲 🏁 🏁 😎 🏁🏁🏁🏁
Probably better off with a donor car with this one
Someone will probably steal the tags off of it and make a fake one
It is a possibility, sadly. He has another 62 SS that is complete but has roof damage he is trying to sell as a pair. Maybe someone will snag it up before that happens
I didn't find the contact information
You can contact jeff@thecommongear.com
#200 I get the car
Very cool

I just found out that there is another 62 SS that could come with it. You need to contact jeff@thecommongear.com

It is a mess. I did find another 62 SS there that may be a good doner.
@@flatbrokegarage then maybe it might be worth saveing it
It's a parts car at best.
It is super rough. I found out after the video posted there is another SS impala a tree fell on the roof that could go with this one. Still way to much work for me.
Onions good for scrap too much money to restore
Definitely to much for me. I'm sure if someone really wanted it, anything is possible
