Seventeen are widely known as one of the most well rounded groups. They produce and write 99% of their own songs (mostly produced by Woozi, their lead vocal), have lots of input with choreo, and are yielded as arguably the best dance group in kpop right now. If you want more of their vocals I would recommend "Say Yes", a duet by their main vocalists DK and Seungkwan, and their immortal song performances of "Short Hair" and "Tell Me"

Seungkwan KILLS those high notes every time! SVT are truly some of the most talented, all-rounded groups I have ever seen. And that’s part of why they’re my ults 🥺💕
Has anyone taught you the phrase “ate the record” or “ate the CD” yet? It’s a Korean expression that international Kpop fans have picked up as well. It’s when referring to an artist sings live and sounds as good as or better than the studio recorded version. Like “what does Chen eat for breakfast?! CDs? He sounds just like on the album!” Or “wow, it sounds like you ate the record you performed so well!”
I feel like this is a phrase you need in your vocabulary when reacting to these 😂 Also just a cool expression that should spread outside of Kpop. But it kind of shows that is something they really think about and put effort into in Korea. They put so much more emphasis and effort into performing live.
Yes, they sometimes do lip sync. But it’s usually because they want to put so much effort into the dancing and they can’t sing quality when moving that much. The greats can. But my point being when a Korean artist lipsyncs it’s because they want to show talent in another area and not hide the fact they don’t have a lot of talent. Idk. Singers who don’t dance vs those who do I think lip sync and backing vocals should be though of entirely differently. It just makes the groups with amazing, obviously live, vocals that much more incredible!!
I just thought the expression gained a resurgence in popularity again. I used to hear this expression as a kid all the time, then again in middle school (2007/2008), and now.

Clicked because of Jeonghan >< and I was surprised to see so many carats here! Seventeen is one of the most, and in my personal opinion, the most talented group. They compose, produce, write lyrics, choreograph. They can all sing and dance and still be completely stable...I’m always amazed
You should react to red velvet more, because they are the best vocalist of 3er generation. The vocal line is out of heaven. Also they are from the same company as EXO and NCT, every Sm artist has a great vocal range. SM house of kings and queens.

For GOT7, that is such a hard song to do with no music in the background. I think if you watched a live performance version vs acapella. If any other group were to cover that song they would struggle too.

Yeah no one talks about them, hardly reacts to them, or watches their videos. As a Starlight, that irritates me. Lol So underrated. They are amazing! I've tried to comment them under as many reactors as I can, but they get ignored and overshadowed by everyone wanting the new or popular groups. But! I AM happy that Justin liked their voices bc they definitely have killer vocals.

Vixx have very talented members they are all really good at dancing, singing and everything, they are very famous in korea but not as famous internationally. They are called the concept kings and they have a really mature and sexy aura about them :) I recommend checking out some of their videos! Girls Day are also very talented they are queens of mature and sexy concept along with 9Muses, Sistar and AOA!

you should react to The Unit (vocal position battle) it was a survival show for k-pop idols who wanted “reboot” their careers it created two groups Uni.t (pronounced unity) which is the female group and U.N.B. the male group. On the show itself, before the groups were formed, they had a vocal position battle where all of the vocalists on the show competed for the title of the “top vocalist” spot. They’re all super talented and all have very different tones and unique voices that I think you would enjoy checking out.

thanks for this reaction! i think you miss out on a lot of seventeen's stuff only watching the compilations though, cause there's a whole bunch of moments like that in songs like 'good to me' which has insane adlibs, 'second life' which has probably woozi's highest note ever, and just all the vocal unit ballads.
No one ever talks about VIXX but they are so amazingly talented!! Ken, the one who hit that high note at the end of their video actually does a lot of works for musicals! Leo, another member of VIXX, has also done musicals! They're very strong vocally.

You should react to ATEEZ ‘Wonderland’ and ‘Hala Hala’. I really love the two songs because of Jongho’s high notes and the other members voices. The person who sang the high notes in ATEEZ - Wonderland is Jongho. He is the youngest of the group. He can even break apples in half and break other fruits like watermelon in real life.
The guy with the high note in the first group is Jongho (main vocal in ATEEZ). He is my favorite singer. It could be amazing if you could react to some of his live vocals.

You should react to some iKON, people sleep on them even tho they have 2 of the most unique voices in kpop and their live vocals are just incredible and different. From Junhoe's raspy rocky sexy ass voice to the sweetness mellow beautiful voice of Jinhwan. They have two of the most powerful main vocal.
