The musical premiered in the 90s and has since been hugely popular in many European countries as well as Korea and Japan, but no official English language version exists. The song that Kai and Dokyeom sing is a duet between the personification of Death (DK) and crown prince Rudolf (Kai). Rudolf is estranged from his parents and unhappy with his father the Emperor's politics, Death baits/seduces him into basically turning traitor and allying with rebels, which ultimately leads to Rudolf's suicide a couple of songs later. I would absolutely KILL for DK being cast as Death (or Rudolf, or Lucheni) in the actual musical, ngl.
The fact that he doesn’t have to open his mouth up wide to sing more difficult notes like some other singers do, in fact his mouth is always either barely open or he’s SMILING shows how amazingly talented he is
His lines in Hot were where i really noticed his vocals. He has so much power, versatility and texture in his voice, really is one of the best out there! He has such a beautiful voice❤️

You should listen to separate songs from each unit, Moonwalker or 'Shhh' for the Performance line, Trauma/Game Boi for the Hip Hop unite and, Don't listen in secret for the vocal team

Seventeen has some of the best vocals to me, but DK is definitely in my top favorites of all the groups I listen to. So effortless.
