True it's so amazing they can even sing with that kind of choreo. They do sing completely live if the dance is light. I don't want them to strain their voice so much.
Brittany Bennett first of all, there’s not that many amerians singers who dance like really dance. Second of all, you’re not a fan. You don’t know how kpop groups work. We do. You’re the one who don’t know the context of these clips. It might be the beginning of a song but it doesn’t means it is a first performance.

i think most of the “worst” versions were when the idols were sick because to me most of them sounded as if they had a cold or sore throat
Idols aren't technically classified as singers in the kpop industry. Some of them *are* vocalists and singers, but they're also rappers, dancers, models, and actors. Dancing, rapping, and appearance along with singing is used to create an income and get brand deals. It's only in more recent years that kpop has become more focused on creating unparalleled performances, and pushing idols to become high class vocalists. So, most idols use backing tracks because 1. their performances are *exhausting* and they want them to be able to last an entire performance/concert and 2. because they aren't held to the same standard as normal singers are because technically, that's not their job.
Of course, kpop has a huge number of amazing vocalists, and many groups at this point are singers, but idol does not equal singer, especially not to koreans
yeah each group at least have 1 amazing singer but the rest of them either rapping,dancing or just stand there and look beautiful lol

Well baekhyuns el derado had a out of control vibrato but it was too loud to hear
backtracks are sometimes necessary because the idols probably dance to a performance in the same day or are just dancing in general. so in order to provide support for their breathing whilst dancing they use back tracks. honestly im not phased by it since they still show an amazing performance.

In some of these live performances, sometimes it's not up to the singer to even have a backing track but their label or the music show staff. I've seen a couple occasions when the singers have asked the staff to turn it off (even subtly mid-performance), but the backing vocals were kept on anyway. But, it is true that they'll have something playing in the back of some performances to help support the vocalist while dancing choreography.
What's funny is, when EXOs messed up, they recognize it and laugh on stage and even bullied by other members right at that moment even it's live😂😂😂 And i think they use backtracks coz KPOP groups move too much in their performances. They dance alot, apparently, they lose their breath.

Hello I love you videos ^^, the only reason they have backing tracks is because they are doing heavy choreography during their songs, they only have backing track in certain parts as their voices need to be supported because they have been breathing heavily, I'm obviously not a vocal coach so I don't know everything about it, but most of these groups of already done six or seven songs full Choreo beforehand, even though they're standing still now, there still exhausted.

Actually the first clip was when he had a severe sore throat after just finishing several concerts to start off their tour and also appear almost back to back doing the comeback award shows! This was an annual award show that followed so they had to attend and perform even with his so bad sore throat. The next day when they appeared on a tv show Jimin ended up having laryngitis so when he was required to do a cutesy aegyo he sounded like a frog instead! This clip is shown all the time! The backstage where he is all upset from Burn The Stage actually was only just a few days later during their first stop of the tour in Chile! Jimin was all upset because his throat was still sore he was still sick and he really wanted to his best and felt bad! This had nothing to do with insecurity, just feeling bad because they hadn't been to Chile in a long time and he wanted to give them a good performance! When other members get sick and have a sore throat and feel bad about it and even cry nobody ever says they're insecure when seen crying! I find that strange that when Jimin is upset all of a sudden he's insecure! Also that other time shown in this vid, was only a practice before the live New Year's Eve performance anyway. Jimin even laughed about it!!

Personally I don't mind the voice cracks here and there since it proves that they're doing it LIVE. The best thing we can do as fans is continue to love and support our groups without letting them feel upset about what happens on stage.

They aren’t just singers, they are also dancers, entertainers and much more meaning that they aren’t focused on just singing! They have so much to think about when performing such as their vocals and dancing! The reason why they have backtracking is because they get tired while dancing and start breathing heavily! This causes their vocals to go down a little but as I have said, they are entertainers and so they have to make sure their audience enjoys the performance and that’s where backtracking comes in to make sure that the audience are happy! If they didn’t have to dance then they wouldn’t even need backtracking! I hope you take this into consideration while speaking out your opinion of them!
Let the man live. Besides we all know this and he probably already looked up the kpop industry and how it works including the vocals they have.

I would highly recommend I’ll Be Your Man and Beautiful Pain (Beautiful Pain was actually a song without their main vocalist as he was in the army however all of BTOB’s four vocalists are main vocalists and Beautiful Pain showcases the others even more)

The backtrack is not up to the idols, but the company (some put more, some don't) and TV channels/shows. Some put the backtrack way to lower (because they just prefer the performance, specially the dance, and not really a live vocal performance), but in other performances on the same week and song you can see them sing perfectly live. We can't do much about it

It's really heart-breaking and soul-crushing that people even think of making compilations like that . These vocalists work unimaginably hard -they diet, have no sleep , battle with stress ,panic disorders , societal pressures and invasive fans , yet what they get in return is some random people picking on their mistakes or constantly trying to compare them to others. Life is hard.
1:24 chen is going to be a married man and a father.....wow....and you'll find a lot of the time that the mics or the backtrack is set either too low or too high and the artists usually find that really annoying and will tell them about it too...
I remember when Chen is performing Best Luck at an award show and he stopped in the middle saying the backtrack playing has voice in it and he wanted to perform with his vocals only.

Just some extra info the grp at 5:10 (NU’EST) their worst vocals was likely a debut stage or at least no more than a few months after they debut-ed cause the song they were performing is their debut song so - and mind they were literal kids when they debuted 4 of the 5 members (including the one who’s voice cracked) were only 17yrs old international age

The group at 5:07 is called NU'EST, that was their debut song. The one singing the part is their main vocal Baekho. The first video was them during their debut year performing the the song. I believe the 2nd video was rather recent, like maybe last year, which means there was a 6 year gap between them. And through these 6 years, Baekho has actually became a vocal trainer himself.
I love how baekhyun's worst notes are as good as everyone else's best notes😭😂 he's truly a vocal king
