    Thank you for your videos! How do you recommend taking the nut oil or cod liver oil liquid (not capsules). Not sure if I should just get spoon and take them or it there is a different way in case it doesn't taste great!

      @BumblebeeApothecary  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome! We use a plastic syringe with the liquid cod liver oil. If you don't like the taste, just have another bite of food ready for right after :)

    Hi I'm really enjoying your videos I have suffered with h pylori and leaky gut syndrome for over 15 years.. I'm now seeing a functional medicine doctor and I'm finding it very beneficial already but I can't find the links that you keep referring to in your videos.. I did buy the book and I can't find where to get your recipe book as I'm just starting the gaps diet. I really appreciate any help and thank you and love your videos!!!

    Hi Marisa when is the best time to take probiotic? Should it be on empty stomach, with food or after food? Multiple times a day or only once? Thank you in advance for your answer!

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Dr. Natasha says it doesn't really matter, there are pros and cons to taking it with food or without, or at different times of the day. I personally have taken it with food, towards the end of the meal, twice a day. Hope that helps!

    my family is on stage 3, just had our first nut butter pancakes! hurray! they were amazing.
    my question is, my family lives overseas where we don't have access to any suppliments. we do have a stock of fermented cod liver oil, we take since before gaps we were a Weston a price type of diet. so we can take that but what do you suggest for us in not having access to these things?
    eat more fermented veggies? or... we want to get the most out of the diet

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pancakes are so good when you get to add them! Are you able to order supplements online at all? If not, then yes, eating as much fermented foods as you can is what I would do. Hope that helps!

      Thanks for the quick reply, we are not able to order which is a bummer, but we will ,see sure to get our fermented foods upped soon thanks! 🙂

      I am new to this but have been eating for my gut health for years. I do intermittent fasting and it is good to carry around some Himalayan salt with you to up your minerals and energy so might help w. Gaps. Also, can you eat the skin of the chicken and fish that you are making your stocks with? I read that we have to eat the gelatinous stuff under the skin and in the joints of the meat after making the stock. Just checking, but I am new to this too.

      Thank you so much! It's hard to say without knowing more. I would recommend finding a GAPS professional that would be able to work with you one on one, and figure that out. You can find GAPS professionals here: www.gapsdiet.com/gaps-professionals.html Sending well wishes your way!

      It's hard to say without knowing more about your health history and lifestyle habits. GAPS is very bio individual.

    Hi Marisa , do you have any reccomendation for probiotics, cod liver oil and enzyme for toddlee 2 yo?

    Hey thanks for the video, i didn't get something though. At what stage of the diet are you supposed to add those essential supplements ?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks, great question! That is very individual, and it depends on the person's needs. Most of the time, supplements are added once a person is on full GAPS.

    I'm on phase 4 of the gaps diet. Do you think this is a good phase to add the probiotic supplement?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me, I made sure I was eating a variety of probiotic foods in the target amount that Dr. Campbell-McBride recommends, and made sure I wasn't experiencing any die off symptoms and felt good, and then I began the probiotic. Hope that helps!

    Thank you for the helpful video.
    Me and my two sons are in the diet, now in stage 3. They doing well but i feel that they both need to add an enzymes supplement now.
    So my question is if they need to take the enzymes before every meal, when should I give them the probiotic foods?
    Right now they drinking the sourkraut water and yogurt.
    I want to know if it ok to take the enzymes and eat a probiotic foods so closely to each other?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're welcome! Dr. Natasha usually recommends people add supplements when they're reached the full GAPS diet. In the meantime, increasing the sauerkraut brine can really help. I like to drink 2-4 oz. before a meal, and it really helps with boosting stomach acid and promoting the body's own enzyme production. I'd try that, and then think about enzymes if you feel like they could be helpful once you're on full GAPS. Sending well wishes!

    If I’ve been consistently taking a good probiotic for years do I have to go off of it when I start the intro? Or can I just keep taking my usual dose? I wasn’t sure if starting slow was for people who hadn’t been on a probiotic consistently before :)

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I would continue it at first, and then gradually transition to fermented foods, and when you're having plenty of those, discontinue the probiotic. Fermented foods are more powerful than probiotic supplements :)

    Hello! I am such a fan of this channel. Just read the book and following your channel. But I have a question!!
    I was already off grains en eating probiotic foods and fermented foods before.
    Now I started and am listening to the advise. I only eat meatstock, veggies, sauerkraut juice and the boiled chicken and beef. This morning was adding one egg.
    BUT
    have some bowl problems. It makes me constipated a little. I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
    I dont like to hang in this stage too long as I am afraid to loose too much weight.
    Do you have tips?
    I started it because I had bad bowl movements (way too soft and mushy)

    Can you use cod liver oil in the first stage?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Dr. Natasha says these are officially introduced in stage 3, but GAPS is very bioindividual. If you're working with a GAPS professional you might find you need to introduce them earlier or later.

    I'm a 26 year old female, and I'm feeling really exhausted with the gaps intro
    Especially since there is no source of iron and I'm having anemia
    I'm also experiencing hypoglycemia attacks even when I'm taking teaspoon of honey
    Please save me before I quit the gaps diet😅
