This is so amazing!! While watching you sculpt, I was also able to appreciate the original illustrator, and the details of their work. I love watching artists studying other artists; it's like a secret wordless language that only artists share where the concept of "exposure" doesn't exist!
Hey, thanks alot for your videos, really inspiring and helpfull ! Could you go a bit more in detail at what you did exactlly at 12:01 when you dynamshed the part of the face together and project details because as a beginner I have a few interogation : - Did you project detail from the subd part of the faces to your new dynameshed face or is the opposite and you dynameshed the face together to make more detail and project those on the face you zremeshed a bit later ? - By any chance, do you have any source of tutorial on projection details ? Again thanks alot for your work !
Hey, thank you so much that you saw my video and try to learn from it. It makes me happy to realize that people are actually analyze my videos that way. So first you have your base mesh, made from primitives. You can add as much detail as you want to this stage but I leave it mostly pretty basic and work on proportions first. Then create a copy from it when you are happy with the proportions and dynamesh the geometry together on the copy. Now you can work on details on the dynameshed head. When you are happy with your details make a copy again and ZRemesh the head at a low resolution. Now project the details on the "better" remeshed head. You even can project your poly paint if you already have some. It's a very dynamic and staigt forward process that's why I love using ZBrush so much. I hope I could help you with my answer.
@@EllieWilliams-ju3zm Hey, thank you for your question. actually you do not need to do it when you do 3d printing because the details are so small, they do not apear on a printing. but when you struggle with keeping lines like the eye lids clean and nice, you should do it for printing modeles too. I hope this helps you to make your printing models. happy sculpting! :)
@@viktor-moorThank you, I would also like to ask if this photo of Moritz Cremer can be used as a public profile photo? Does copyright law prohibit this?
@@Matix_00053 Copyrights are very complex and are different from county to county. of course the 2d artwork of Moritz Cremer is under his copyright. But usually 2d artists have no problem when you use their work for your own interpretation. However you are not allowed to sell the artwork etc.
thank you! there's no other thing that relax me so much that looking you sculpting!! if i can ask you something, what software are you using for the reference image on overlay? i use zbrush spotlight or also opening the image on other screen, but the zbrush spotlight is so unconfortable, i have to open and close so often.......... :(
Hey thank you very much 😊 I don’t like to use sport light too. I know what you mean. I just open my reference in any image preview in the background. I use the see through function of zbrush. You find the slider at the top right. I hope that helps you 😊
Hey, I use a Wacom Intous 4. I own it for over 10 years now and it's absolutlly worth it. I got two tablets from Huion just for testing. They are good too. But because I'm a tech noob I didn't create a review for them. Just used them for sculpting.
hey, good question. it always depends on your portfolio. if you have a strong 3D portfolio you can apply to a job but I think after 6 months you popably do not have a strong portfolio. if you like check out my patreon, there I have a some videos about portfolio etc.
Hi Mikiwa, thank you for your interest. Yes I am offering live trainings or feedbacks on my patreon. I am available for commission too, if you need help with your project.

Looks good, but I feel you didn't capture the facial features correctly, the lips specially, such volume and thickness is more in line with negroid ethnicity, also the nose seems too long looking at the reference, otherwise, the rest is mighty fine

Yes as a 3D artist you have to pay a lot of attention to details and you need to know what the original idea of the concepts was.
This is such a great video, thanks! It's super interesting to see your process. I have lots to learn about Zbrush
