    Looks amazing! A couple of questions:
    -What's your workflow like between Dynamesh/Subdivisions? It looks like around 9:56 your poly count quadruples for that subtool, so it appears you subdivide straight from the dynamesh model without any zremeshing? Is that correct?
    -When you bring the model into Blender, did you decimate it first, or just through it in at 100% of the resolution? What was your final poly count for the entire model?
    Thanks!

    • @viktor-moor
      @viktor-moor  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, thank you and thank you for your question.
      Yes you can subdivide dynamesh meshes. I do it a lot to. I dynamesh the geometry low and subdivide it a couple times. ZRemesh would work too.
      Yes I decimate the mesh before bringing it to Blender. This speeds up the render time. I try to be at about 1million polygons, is still high enough.
      I hope this helps you with your project :)

    What an incredible workflow, learned so much from just seeing your process. I can't believe this was made potentially riggable in symmetricity before posing.
    As a baby Zbrush user :
    How did you quickly combine the two tube mesh for the beard?
    How did you extrude the scalp to be a seperate mesh?
    Is the hair mesh thickened for sculpting? Or did you just decide to disregard whatever's hidden by the head mesh?
    I intend to create braids meant for a riggable character (to be Z-remeshed for neater/lesser polycount), will it be good strategy to adopt your workflow?
    Thank you so much for this inspiring video.

      Hey thank you very much. Sorry for the late reply. Well you have a lot of questions I cannot answer all of them in this comment section. For combining meshes I usually use dynamesh. For creating new topology I use extract a lot. I hope this helps you for now and watch my other videos too. Maybe the other questions will be more clear then.

    Поразительно, как меняется от покраски и детализации образ. Если на начальном этапе мне видился такой тощенький, пожилой казак (ну, с такими усами!), то под конец это был уже даже не сатир (ну, я думаю, что это что-то такое, в фентези ключе), а что-то пугающее, какой-то злодей. Вот из-за этого свороченного как бы на бок лица создается ощущение чего-то злодейского чисто внешне. (Если уж вы хотели показать, что он подмигивает, вам надо было и нос чуточку в ту сторону наклонить. Саму прямую носа. А так стало похоже, будто он с кем-то дрался, ему нос со смещением сломали, он сдвинулся, и теперь, вот, скошено немного. У боксеров такие травмы бывают, когда им ломают нос. Одна маленькая деталь, а делает все лицо мимически неестественным, и из-за этого ты прямо напрягаешься, сразу чувствуешь, что с лицом что-то не так.)

    umm, few things... speaking from me being a complete beginner n someone who wanna learn.. this is mind-blowing work n I really love it. but when it said step by step, I thought I would be able to see the steps bit in real-time or just not too fast, because I could not catch on to it. steps were written below but they went away too fast unless you wanted us to slow down the video n follow along. umm, but it's something that even I wrote on my recent video, but I had basically shown it in timelapse, so I'm not the right person to point it out either. but I kinda added a voice to try to explain what I was right, but even when it comes to voice it's my first attempt, so I can't defend myself much on that front.

      @@viktor-moor I have another question for making photorealistic 3D sculptures on Zbrush. Do artists transfer their 2D reference or do they manage to get the right shapes with time? Or does the sculpt and then projects a ref for a without fault?

    • @viktor-moor
      @viktor-moor  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@empGaming_Music_Movies For photorealistic characters I always use photos as reference, for such as face, body, cloth, accessories etc. Of course there are no photos of a sci-fi space marine or such. So if you are making sci-fi for example you need a good drawn concept but the realizm comes from your modeling and rendering skills. I would say you always need a strong reference either photos or drawings. Depends on your goals you want to achieve.

    • @viktor-moor
      @viktor-moor  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question! Using a base mesh for sculpting can definitely save time, especially on a professional level. However, when learning how to sculpt anatomy and exploring creativity, it's important to develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals of anatomy and not rely solely on a pre-made base mesh. I'd recommend practicing with and without a base mesh to develop a well-rounded skillset and approach to sculpting.
