Hello friends, some upcoming videos that you may find useful will be this full process in Blender. Also quite keen to show mocap animation for rigify characters. Alternative suggestions welcome :) (Happy to use Maya/ Zbrush/ clo etc)
@@QuoteTrek Yes! Start with all the free blender documentation on their site docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/ . They also have Blender courses on there (I think it’s a monthly subscription but worth it) . Give yourself time and enjoy the journey.
There's only one problem. Reallusion does not give you intellectual property rights to your characters. They only give you the rights to render them. You can't use the characters in a video game that you sell. You use the characters for freelance work for other people. You can't sell characters to clients. This is essentially, only for people who do 3D as a hobby.
This is legit way more professional workflow than I expected XD This is awesome, I'll go make some characters. I have to say, out of all the AI related channels I started following from beginning of the year, your channel has been most useful for doing actual useful work that I get paid for. Thank you. Keep doing what you do
Always something useful to be had in your videos, that clothing library sounds like something everyone needs to look into, thanks for letting us know about it!
Using three different very complex and very different pieces of software to get to these results is way over my time budget. I am always looking for Blender only solutions.
THIS. IS. A MIRACLE!!!!! I've been struggling to make characters and clothing for my game for about 3 months now. Thank you so so much, I could cry! 😂🤣😭💖
While I've still not got round to actually doing any 3D work, I do so enjoy your videos and tutorials. Keep up the good work and thank you for taking the time to share.
Awesome. I do like that you try and pack in so much knowledge and it's super informative. I have pointed my team to your channel as there is so much great stuff. Keep it up 👍
Awesome video. I’m going to try this week. Hopefully today. More video in this vein would be great. Reallusion + Blender + UE. Im constantly reviewing your character generation videos as I’m learning Thanks for these tutorials
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:51 🎨 *Use Pure Ref for collecting diverse reference images to enhance character creation.* 02:17 🕒 *Utilize kit-bashing techniques in Character Creator to save time on face rigging and morph targets.* 04:05 🎭 *Customize character details like eyelashes, eyeballs, and teeth using pre-created assets in Character Creator.* 06:14 🧵 *Speed up clothing creation with kit-bashing using assets from Slava's Esset preset clothing pack.* 16:45 💡 *Use the Character Creator Blender Pipeline plugin to seamlessly import characters into Blender with Rigify rig and skin weights.* Made with HARPA AI
To me a much faster way to make a 3D character is to a good sketch of a character front and side views and use primitives to trace the outline. As for clothes, use box modeling over your character, subdivide them a couple of times, apply cloth physics and collision detection and then animate with Mixamo.
As a noob to creating characters and currently learning in Blender, this has been a really interesting video and insight into how you can create your own stuff....definitely will be checking out some of the software mentioned. Thanks!
ok, thank you, but I need to know when bring from Zbrush, the character is stylized look. How you did this?? please any video for steps to do it this character like stylized from A to Z. /thank you
That Character Creator looks like a cool piece of Software. Sadly I switched to Mac OS. Any chance you can recommend a similar software? ^^ (After I spent so much money to Apple I finally want try to get „productive“ with blender stuff… but I’m a total noob… ^^)
It's kinda so cool that you can make a character not from scratch, to modify it and stick it back with still having the ability to use face rigging. Is it possible to add custom irises for eyes?
Hello, the video is very helpful thanks, but when I create the character in CC4 and import in Zbrush to modify it, at the moment to return the character in CC4 by GoZ I can't be able to modify the character as you show (face, eyes etc are all setup blocked and the character is not recognized as a cc4 character). Suggestion?
Hmmm is it coming in as a white mesh by chance? This has happened to me previously. Try clicking on All (next to go fix button in brush) make sure the import dialog in CC is showing that it’s being updated not creating a new mesh. I hope you find a solution. When back of my pc I’ll see if I can replicate
thanks for your most helpful video tutorial! i have an question......i work with 3ds max and zbrush for modeling and substance for texturing and marvelous for cloth modeling......can i use 3dsmax for creat smooth rigging and then creat smooth animations or i must to learn blender or something else? because i learned before somebodies had said that 3dsmax is not suitable for creating animations so this so better to use maya or cinema 4d or blender. thanks alot.
You can use 3dsMax to sculpt/ Rig/UVW same with blender etc To be honest it’s what ever you find the easiest and most comfortable to use. There are 5 or probably more ways to create 3d characters. Never buy software because someone said it worked for them, but instead trial them for 30 days instead and ensure it works for you and you are happy with it and the results. Character Creator to Iclone for animation is a very simple work flow - But it can cost quite a bit. Everyone has opinion on what 3D software is the best, but ultimately it’s what works for you, your budget and timescale :)
I just got CC and I have like none of those morphs. Almost zero. How many morph packs and stuff did you need to purchase in order to actually modify your character? They have a Black Friday deal right now but it seems like you get absolutely nothing included.
Hello friend, finally I got fspy to work on blender , but now when I Finnish work in shading tab going back to layout tab I only find the modelled plane no texture on it whatsoever, please help, thanks
Could you post your PC specs, Im new to 3D and want to know what kind of requirements a computer needs to fulfill this process with zbrush, blender, unreal engine, keyshot and substance 3d.
haha I made the right decision to subscribed to you, because i only subscribe to a channel if i am looking forward on their future videos! I like this video very much 'cause it seems very informative! I did not start using blender because i don't have a strong computer yet, for now i'm just exploring blender and unity in videos!
Great video, but I wish you could have spent more time on the texture editing part. I've seen other people edit textures to make them more stylized, but yours look the best IMO.
@promptmuse Would characters created this way be safe to use commercially? Specifically using CC base characters. This workflow is appealing but the CC licensing policies seem really overly confusing to me. Nice work for an hour and change.
Great question, I just had an update on my CC t&cs today haha very timely. From what I can see if you use the CC base for commercial projects (to resell etc) looks like a specific licence is required. If the model is to be use in film and video no license etc no is required From what I make out. Not 100% at the moment so don’t quote me 😂 Not sure how much a license is to enable reselling of models. I’m just on the forums looking having a search around. I’ll email Monday and see if I find out what is what.
Who needs a sculptor when you've got this tutorial turning us all into 3D Picasso's! 🎨💻 Fasten your seatbelts, folks - we're about to take the express lane to character creation in Blender!
wow in 1hour.. even i learnt blender .. but how to be as fast as you.. i keep designing random stuffs daily but still not fast enough .. what is the secret to get faster as you .. thanks again.. let me know please
Im a massive believer in the 10,000 hour rule. I have been using various 3d products for many yrs. When I want to learn something new, my personal approach is to have a set goal to what I want t achieve (character / environment or game prop like a gun etc) and find a tutorial for that. Also this approach means you build a portfolio of work which you can be proud of or use for professional use . I think learning without a purpose can feel so intimidating and boring! Reddit / TH-cam and the blender website will give you a great reference points. Being inspired by social media is great but also comparison can be the thief of joy. Do not be afraid to kitbash either (bringing in pre-made 3d elements).

Amazing tutorial! This channel keeps getting better and better
Thanks so much !
THIS. IS. A MIRACLE!!!!!
I've been struggling to make characters and clothing for my game for about 3 months now. Thank you so so much, I could cry! 😂🤣😭💖
Thank you so much, this has given me inspiration to start 3d modelling again!
Fantastic, it’s easy to get tangled up in the technical work for 3D and lose the creative drive !
This was one of the best videos I've watched on TH-cam. Amazingly helpful! You are awesome!!!
Thats an awesome workflow, character creator to zbrush and back again and character is already fully rigged 🤯! This saves so much time.
Thanks Joy, it might not be a free work flow but it saves time for sure ! 🔥
LOVE IT! I use CC4 and blender a lot and though I dont have zbrush, I still got a lot out of it! Thanks!!

Keep it up 👍
I used to do this in Daz and Blender, but the character creator tool looks so much smoother. Thanks for highlighting it!
Awesome video. I’m going to try this week. Hopefully today. More video in this vein would be great. Reallusion + Blender + UE. Im constantly reviewing your character generation videos as I’m learning Thanks for these tutorials

Great video from all of us saving time in Character creator!
Cheff's kiss. Perfection! Thank you for sharing. How streamlined this is! (Especially for hair and morphs).
These are cool, i’ve got a neat little hair plugin generator for zbrush as well.
Could you make an in-depth tutorial?
Really Noise work. Loved it

again animator here hahaha pretty cool to save time, learn all the ways to do whatever you want to in animation/modeling/etc and use it

Can we see more work using CC4 and applying with animation in blender
When I import into blender, the Rigify Rig is in the T-Pose and the character isn't bound to it. Any idea how to fix this?
Thank you. How you use it the Photoshop to make the character like cartoon. Any video step by step?
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It helped me a lot ^_^

Oooo sorry I’m not sure, perhaps someone here could suggest something ?
Nice workflow. I really wish ZBrush wasn't required and you could do all of this with just Blender and CC4.
Tbh you could just use blender for sculpting the CC model ! I use zbrush for the ease of coming in and out of CC 👍
@@promptmuse Good to know. Thanks and love your channel!
I would LOVE more tutorials on CC4! ❤️
Have you tried doing the same process but instead using Character creation- using metahuman? I would love to see that workflow!
wow. super awesome. You're inspiring me to give CC4 another shot.
Awesome, there is a 30day trial to give it another go 👍
@@promptmuse I own it. I just hate Reallusion so hard. lol. You make it look too easy.
this is cool, ive been trying to decide if its worth buying CC4 for awhile now, and your video has helped me to see how easy it is
keep up the awesome work homie. Awesome vid.
Thank you for this, subscribed.
Amazing tutorial! Makes using software other than Blender feel like it’s not that complicated. Thanks so much for this!
cant import the file to blender. the saved file doesnt show when i use the plugin to find it

For blender. Not "in blender"
excellent video

This workflow is worth the $10 pateron cost alone. I just deleted CC and zbrush out of frustration.
